Curious to see if anyone has input on these strains. The autos were free, the GG Fast's I bought and want to know any advice towards them both. Thanks!

I ran the Seedsman Northern Lights last spring. I was very happy with it, had a real good smell and was easy to grow, she gave me no issues,

Yes I have ran this pheno :) Check out my gorilla girl Diary it didn't go to plan but I still got some nice bud from her they grow insanely fast and if you veg them longer than 3 weeks they will be hard to control in my experience. Best of luck pal mine finished up in 7 weeks of flower :) I have not grew northern lights by seedsman though I am growing black sugar from seedsman at the min and shes going well I cant moan :)

A week in and all seedlings popped just fine! Gorilla Girl was first to pop through, followed by all NL Autos the next day. Keeping under humidity dome for now with LED strip about 6-7" above. Noticing a bit of stretching out of these girls, so may remove dome soon to help dial down the stretch and transition them to the tent's environment.

All seedlings took off over the course of the past week and a half. Removed humidity dome for space reasons and getting seedlings used to new environment as previous auto grows finish up below. The GG needed to be transplanted into a 1 gallon plastic pot, 1/2 Fox Farm Happy Frog, 1/2 Ocean Forest, 1 Cup earth worm casting mix. Planted it a bit deeper as well as it was stretching too much for my liking. New soil mix and depth should help stabilize and promote growth. 2 out of 3 NL Autos looking okay, stretching a bit; will need to transplant as soon as I chop some finishing autos below to make space for their forever home (7 Gallon Fabrics). 1 not looking so hot, a few days missed watering/misting combined with light distance could have caused too much stress. Hopefully will bounce back; if not, meh, 2/3 aint' bad for FREE seeds :-) !

WOW. What a ride! Time for a long awaited update. Life happened and let this be a testament to this strain’s genetics because I thought we were going to lose her there! Firstly, we lost ALL the NL Autos :-( They simply wilted away badly, one seedling was bad and the rest followed. I suspect it was a combination of not being ready to transplant into larger pots combined with too much neglect. For free seeds though, I shook it off and was able to focus solely on this Gorilla Girl, and man was I glad I did! LST, LST, LST!!! What can I say, the GG fast got thirsty and just took off! After consistently bending the main stem down to allow side branches to catch up it absolutely blew up. Furthermore, at least one branch snapped, which I quickly taped up and it knuckled nicely! The biggest concern was light distance. Therefore, since I’ve gone through this much and still came out on top, I’m going with a sideways tilt method to help with light distance for stretch accommodation. Forget the #’s down there for nutrients etc. my math for that sucks. My soil solution was as follows: 7gal fabric pot 1/2 Fox farm Ocean Forest 1/2 Fox Farm Strawberry Fields 3 Cups earth worm castings 1 tsp Recharge with 1.5 Gal oxygenated water every other week or so. Switched lights to 14/10, and 12/12 last 2 weeks before flipping to flower to help transition.

Tipping the plant over on its side was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Height restrictions led me to this decision and I’m so glad I did! A better pic is coming but how freakin cool is that!? Flip to flower actually occurred October 2, and within a week white hairs were ALL over. Did some light defoliation, last minute light LST to keep stretching under control; she probably gained about 8” easily in a week once flipped. The fast genetics in this plant are showing as the hairs are filling in everywhere! I began my compost tea prep for the tasty flowering recipe that has worked for me in the past. It is as follows: In a 3.5 Gal oxygenated water bucket, “cooked” for 72 hours: 4 TBSP - Black Strap Molasses 2 CUP - Earth Worm Casting 2 TBSP - Alfalfa Meal 2 TBSP - Kelp Meal 1 heaping TBSP - Seabird Guano 2 TBSP - Gaia Green Flower Prepared on 10/11, and also did a prep feed on 10/11 of 1/2 gal oxygenated water with 1/4 tsp Recharge. One thing to note, Cal/Mag, Cal/Mag, Cal/Mag! In the week or so that followed the flip n feed I noticed brown spots on middle to some newer leaves indicating, to me, cal Mag deficiency. Ah, the infamous cal Mag issues in flower. I have checked pH, it checked out, and I have since done a few mini flushes with 1/2 dose of cal Mag with 1/2 gal to 1 gal 6.8 pH feeds. It is currently slowly coming back and flowering continues to BOOM!

Just a 1.5 Gal Oxy water feeding this week at 6.7 pH. The compost tea I prepared made jt take off but could have given it a bit of nute burn as well. Last pics show brown spots appearing on middle to lower leaves. Flourishing otherwise, and boy that smell is coming in! As for humidity I’d like it to be lower obviously, around 40-50% at the highest, but the ambient room is humid as well and I’d need to bite the gullet and get a substantial dehumidifier. However, the plant isn’t bothered and there is plenty of airflow.

@Sweet_Seeds, This genetic is kick ass! I won’t lie, we had a bit of a “getting to know each other” phase during veg, and training was absolutely key. Yet it could handle everything I threw at it with a smile on her face. Very responsive and capable genetics!
