The first pistils are showing! Couldn't be happier to transition into this phase with a healthy plant.
At the start of the week, I cut off many leaves that were not getting any light. This has really opened up the plant for more bud sites to catch light and for air to pass through the plant. As a first time grower, cutting off chunks made me a little nervous so I hope it will turn out well. I'm going to monitor growth closely. Opinions on HSTing autoflowers are mixed which I understand, but I felt this thing needed some air.
The first couple of days after defoliation she got really thirsty, drinking twice her normal amount. Could be due to additional evaporation from the pot due to the foliage not being as dense too, I don't know. I started adding bloom nutes while reducing grow nutes a bit. So far no signs of nute burn are showing, apart from last week's minor tip damage which recovered quickly with a dose of just water.
Some late LSTing made the canopy more even. Looking at 12ish stalks at the moment. The even canopy allowed me to move the light a bit closer too.
I still need to sort out the humidity. Attempting some things now but it might be difficult due to the grow space being connected to the outside air.
Excited for next week, I hope to see the first buds!
