Fuck if I know how many mistakes I have made this week and it has been the best experience. For one, I can conclusively say that the soil in which Lemon Haze #1, #2 and #3 are growing is pretty much shot. The soil is coco coir from at least a couple of years ago and I cant confirm if it has been flushed properly. I have no good seeds yet and will keep on with this grow to add to my experience. Mon They were all settling and breathing. I gave them a feeding and about 500ml to the big pots and about 10ml to the small pots (Lemon Haze Batch 2 - LHB2). Tue No action. Patiently whiling time away in readiness for topping. Wed I took all my height measurements, and topped and defoliated #1 and #2. #3 had settled well in her new pot but still stunted. I will give her a few days. Thu I received new soil as well as the worm castings I have been waiting. In addition, I got some organic soil conditioner made from pressed seed cakes. While changing the soil on the original may prove too shocking for them and I had been overzealous already so I went with only repotting the LHB2 that i had intended to SOG. I had 4 pots and 5 plants so I improvised. My composition is 5ltr perlite, 5ltr vermiculite, 6.5ltr coco coir, 5 tbsp organic soil conditioner, 5 tbsp bone meal, 1.5 cups worm casting. They all got a feeding with 1ltr of water each. Fri They had all settled well and the 5 in the new soil already looked way perkier than the original 3 Sat I moved things around in the tent and neatened up as well as set up a small chill spot so I can hotbox while I zone out from the world for a little while. All the LHB2 got 1ltr of feeding solution and the old ones plain water. I want to grow as organic as possible and aside for some fertiliser i added at the beginning when they all looked fragile, I have not used any chemicals. I got this sea-weed fertiliser from a guy i know down at the coast. The flowers and sidewalks have really changed in the neighbourhood and i am giving it a shot on the weed. It's backyard-made and I can only hope safe but is assuredly 100% organic. The feeding solution is 10ml of the sea-weed solution, 1 tbsp epsom salt and 5 ltrs of tap water. The water stays out 2-3 days and i bring the pH down to 6.3-6.5 range with apple cider vinegar. Sun They all looked chill and well fed. Nothing much to do for today.

Am I the only one who sits inside their tent to get away from everyone at home with a drink and a smoke for a few moments each day?

I would do to get away from the wife and kids, there is only enough room for my plants let alone me fitting in there. Top hiding place.

Is there a way to remedy this without flushing my pots (i dont have the space or privacy)? What would the best way forward be considering I am entering week 2 of flower today? Keen to remain 100% organic but happy to break that rule to save these plants from going under.

You have a potassium deficiency. Your plant is going into flowering good and really hungry for more potassium and phosphorus to make your buds. Would increase potassium levels. Good luck

I lost my previous seeds and ended up growing a clone from a friend. I never got around to documenting it and it took a beating but produced a decent harvest. It showed 2-3 male pollen sacs (hermied) a few weeks into flowering which I yanked off. I did notice a couple more nanners very close to harvest. There were not many seeds that came out of the plant and I sprouted some of the few that came out. I have a long wait time on good genetic seeds from Dutch Passion on their way and figured I could practice my growing skills till they arrive. I tent and grow light arrive soon.

Thanks a million @Mrs_Larimar - I was suspecting my overzealousness and cant thank you enough for the nudge. I have promised my girls no more snipping until they are 2-3 weeks into flower. What else should I consider before and after flipping to 12:12 this coming week?

Your grow looks fantastic my friend. The girls are really starting to branch out. Always go with your gut and research, but looks like classic Ca def to me bro. I think you are on the right track with considering a root level issue, but also consider that slow transpiration can inhibit the uptake of Ca. Overly acidic soil can slow uptake as well. Given the girls are so young and still in veg I doubt it’s related to P, but when you’re into flower those two like to cause trouble sometimes. I’m no expert, but I have gone down the rabbit hole trying to uptake as much info as I can over the years…this community has helped a ton. You probably already knew all this, but I wanted to pay it forward anyways. Good luck bro!

Man. did i go down that Mulders chart wormhole or what! @Fordsie Your advise is greatly appreciated and as I ready to flip to 12:12 i will heed it. Thank you tons for your time and effort brotherman!
Fordsie

Watch your N, too much can potentially lock out Ca which likes to coalesce in roots, and again go with your research here, but Ca is a slow mover, right, it’s an immobile macro nute…got to watch that pH…pH is everything!! It’s a critical nute, and a sensitive one at that. If I had a buck for every time something I looked into brought me back to pH in some way…well, my beer budget would be endless! It’s a crazy circle, if you are a glutton look up Mulders chart, good reference for seeing how nutes impact each other, fair warning this rabbit hole can get deep. Look up lock out flow charts too, always good to know that a deficiency doesn’t always mean you don’t have enough of something, it’s just as likely you have too much of something else that’s preventing the uptake of what comes across at deficient…🤯

Hey bud @Fordsie Thank you, this is invaluable advice and I am grateful you took the time to point me in the right direction. The brown spots have appeared today on a few more of the girls and I am now confident it is an issue at root level. I pressed half a piece of blackboard chalk into the soil last night of all the pots - for calcium. I will have to look for dolomite lime this week as I want to flip to flower next week. Anything else I ought to look out for?

Looking good so far, and I wouldn’t sweat any mistakes along the way, call it par for the course or nature of the beast, but it’s all part of the learning curve. I sure made my fare share of fuck ups. Chances are you won’t make them again as experience is the greatest of teachers. I wish you the best, I’ll follow along to see how you make out. P.S. as evident in a few of my grow pics, I love to have a beer with my ladies…also serves as a great measuring device!

Thanks for checking in @@@TenderBuds The second jab hit me like a freight train at full speed. I finally got out and about on Thursday evening. The Mrs and I called it a day many moons ago - and i am blessed she remains one of my greatest friends. I’m doubly blessed to have her and a few other girls, beautiful on the inside and outside, who look in and after me on a daily.
