First grow. Placed my seeds in a paper towel and into a plastic tub with a lid. Letting it breath once a day by opening the tub for a couple minutes. Not really done much other than letting it grow and water when needed

My first grow so my first LST. Chose to do it early. Added 2ml of Cal mag to both plants. Watering them once every three days. The soil I use has nutrients in it. The packaging has no information on it but I have someone who uses it.

Looks like the first plant is trying to play catch up. Not as bushy and green as the second plant. Not sure what that could be but still looks healthy. Had to go away for a week so I gave them both a good water. Probably a bit too much as the first plant didn't enjoy it. Leaves curling down giving off a nitrogen deficiency. Soil is really damp on both plants and taking a week to dry. Had some black flies but got rid of them instantly. Had a fan circling around and move them closer to the light a little bit. The second plant didn't mind the over watering. No signs of it at all and still looks very good. Might have to do with the slower growth on the first plant that caused it to drown a little. Got rid of a leaf on the first plant as I want to experiment with it. Definitely put too much water in, but they're starting to spurt with growth and they look pretty! Some small LST with garden string and a tent peg on the second plant. Only string on the first plant. Not enough growth for anything else.

It's been a long couple of weeks but back to business. Had my nans plant in my tent with Mez unfortunately, hers contracted spider mite. As soon as it was spotted, I took the plant out and sprayed it heavy with spider mite spray and now her plant lives outside in the garden. I took both of my plants out and gave the tent a good clean down, and to take precaution I sprayed both of my plants down before the lights went out. At this time there were no spider mites on any of my plants! After a week or so I still didn't have any. About twelve days later, I unfortunately spotted spider mite on one of my plants. At this point I have been defoliating and lots of LST still. It was important for me to have the bottom of the plant to be clear so it can get good airflow. As of speaking right now, I have successfully gotten rid of the spider mite to the best of my knowledge. I only found activity on one single leaf, so I took it off and gave both plants another spray. Other than that, things have been great. It's summer time here and I'm having issues with getting cool air into the attic. I have a big fan but that doesn't really help too much. Worried about getting bud rot in the future when I switch to flower as I don't have any fresh air getting in there, but saying that my nan has been growing in there for years and has not had any issues. I've learn a lot so far. With my plants I'm being more hands on with one and less hands off with the other. I also changed my light as I wasn't happy with how they were growing. The light I was using pointed the light down instead of around the whole tent. This made shoots in th center of the tent grow quicker than the other side's and I had to keep turning them around. Now I've changed the light, it seems to be growing more evenly and I think the light I was using before hindered the growth speed and quality, but they still look great.

Without spending heaps of money, is there any way to get cool air into the attic or the hot air out? Can't seem to find a suitable solution for me.

I have modified a cheap window air-conditioner that I bought at a end of season sale. I removed the front cover and glued a piece of foam over the air outlets and drilled holes in the top for new cold air vents so I could attach hoses to direct the air where I want. Then on the front I glued a plastic storage container over the air return and attached a hose. Then the hoses can run to your tent or grow room. https://imgur.com/mqfLqcL

I also grow in the loft. I recently added a few 125mm holes in my wall, one for hot air out one for cold air in. Before I did that I used to have a length of ducting running from the eaves on the cool side of the house, I used a cardboard box to create a sort of manifold to get it into the eaves. I did the same on the extractor ducting but to the hottest side of my house. It can be a real pain with heat up there at this time of year.

Hi mate, I grow in my attic. I have used a damp proof membrane to seal off the tallest/usable parts of my attic. I exhaust (4" inline) out of the membrane. My roof has tiny gaps between the slate that let's in light but no water.. probably not great but it helps me vent out 😝. I then have a 6" inline that feeds fresh air into the attic from my walkin wardrobe. When it gets too hot I put my 6" inline duct into the tent to cool it down. It works perfectly. If you raise the humidity that also drops temps a little. I also considered using the chimney to exhaust out of as well. Hope this helps 🙂

I am using tl5 bulbs I know they are not great and Im saving up for another light but how long left do you think I have on both these plants? They're on week 6 or 7 flower and sensi seeds say they're done from week 8-10. They're not as big as I hoped and I'm hoping they swell up.

Things are going smooth. Noticing that my bud development isnt as good as I thought it was going to be, but that's what I get for using tl5 bulbs I guess.
