I got a couple of these seeds from my buddy and 1 of 2 I threw in the pool seemed to jump out nicely. Nutrients are unnecessary for a few weeks as the soil I use has to be toned down a bit for seedlings.

Repotted this girl into an intermediate container that she will use for a few weeks until we're about ready to move outdoors. She's vegging in my tent at the moment getting 18 hours of light per day.

Starting to veg nicely in my tent using LED lighting at 18 hours per day presently. This girl will be moved outside by probably the summer solstice in a few weeks.

Decided to repot all my photoperiod plants from 2 quart to 2 gallon containers. Most of them were already rootbound. These will be repotted into their final containers in a couple weeks and moved outside around the summer solstice. Topped most of my photoperiod summer crop on June 9. I think this one is closer to a FIM.

The photoperiod crop for the year is off to a nice start. Everybody was topped last week except for the baby gorilla, so they're growing new roots into the recent 2 gallon container transplant. In about a week everybody will get transplanted AGAIN into final containers and moved outdoors for the remainder of the summer. All the photoperiod girls are getting a few hours every other day or so to acclimate to the sun and wind. Their stalks are all plenty strong enough by now. We've been getting some pretty regular heavy afternoon winds in the 15-20 mph range. No longer a problem.

Time to move this baby outside into her final summer home, which is a 10 gallon fabric pot. Tomorrow is the summer solstice so we are at max sunshine now, and we're coming out of a nasty 3 day heat wave which would have been a bad thing for this final transplant. Things should be a nice moderate 70 something for the next week or so.

All 3 older photoperiod girls are starting to stretch incredibly since being moved outdoors for the summer and moved into their larger summer homes. The Wowie has grown 8" from the spot I topped it at already. Weather has been nice and moderate in the 70's all week. Decided to top the plant one final time at the 4 top-most locations and remove the lowest pair of branches on June 28.

The weather has been quite nice for the last week or so. Highs in the low 70's and lows in the upper 50's. I consider these optimal temps for growing herb outdoors. A few hours of fog in the morning has probably been beneficial to the transition from indoors to outdoors. There's been enough wind to make everybodies stalks strong. We're ready for the summer. Grow baby grow.

We had a miniature hot spell last week with 3 days in a row in the high 80's, but other than that we have ideal temps in this coastal area of California, with daytime temps in the mid to upper 70's. Other than that she's not the fastest grower on the patio at present but nice steady and symmetrical.

This girl definitely isn't the fastest grower or the thirstiest, compared to the other girls on the patio... but it's a marathon, not a sprint (for a sativa anyway). She grew a healthy 6" last week.

It's been unusually nice in this area of northern California this week. Temps in the mid-70's to low 80's. I'm somewhat surprised that my lone sativa on the patio is the smallest of 4 plants growing. She appears to have only grown about 2" last week. She clearly isn't as thirsty as the other girls.

All the girls on the patio are flowering now. Seems like they all starting sprouting pistils about the same day. Weather has been beautiful the last week with highs in the low 80's and nights in the upper 50's. Not too much fog. I'm a little surprised that this girl is the slowest grower on the patio (of 4 plants) - she grew about 3" last week which is half as much or less compared to any of the other plants. She looks healthy enough - just not a heavy drinker near as I can tell.

I keep thinking that the weather has been too nice lately. No heat waves of note this summer as of yet - just steady nice stuff. Highs in the low 80's at worst. Last summer we had a lightning outbreak that set off fires that really messed up growing. Now there's a significant fire in CA but it isn't affecting the SF Bay area. Keeping fingers crossed.

We seem to be enjoying some pristine growing weather these days. Highs in the low 80's or upper 70's. No unusual fire activity in my neck of the woods this year. I've got all the girls on 1.5 gallons of fluid per day presently.... just cruising along and fattening up. Still surprised by how small this girl turned out. Did some significant internal pruning of all the girls on the deck this week, but this girl being the smallest actually needed more pruning. She was the densest. Enough to keep the air flowing for a few more weeks of life.

Another beautiful growing week. Temps barely reaching 80. I'm reluctant to trim this girl much further because she's the smallest plant on the patio at the moment. As ripeness goes, she will clearly be the last to finish up this summer. Some of the other girls are generating large amounts of resin coating the leaves - this girl - not so much... yet.

Mother nature finally decided to turn up the heat this week and we've been pushing mid-90's for 2 days in a row after a fairly mild summer temperature-wise. The last time we hit 90 was in June for a couple days and that's it. Air quality has been getting a bit worse due to regional fires but they are very far away at this point. Just a haze that turns the sun red. Not like last summer when things got ugly. I kinda wish I had done some more internal pruning because this girl seems pretty dense. She seems happy enough though. She'll definitely be the last to be harvested this summer.

Slow and steady as the summer wanes with this girl. Still convinced she'll be the last to take down as my Peyote plants seem much closer to finishing, and Cream & Cheese is already drying..

I was surprised at how small this plant ended up being as a sativa. She was the smallest of 4 plants I grew outdoors this summer. She grows very densely too, with fan leaves crammed very close together which will inhibit ventilation somewhat. Caught a mild case of powderey mildew in late summer addressed with a H2O2 bath.

We actually got a little rain last night, which didn't really matter because she got an extensive bath this morning. Because of a minor case of powdery mildew appeared in late summer I used an extensive Hydrogen Peroxide bath during the wash, letting each branch soak in the bath for about 5 minutes before moving on to other stages. Back in a week or so with some weights. I plan to let this girl dry a little more slowly than normal in my garage.

Love those exposed roots! You hit her in the right spot over and over if you understand! As soon as I seen that root exposure I knew it’s a serious plant! Many don’t understand greatness, or just good technique! Good job!
