Grow 2: Phoenix Northern Lights Fem

keemsquad Plants had weak stems but by the end of the week got more soil to support the stems and they got better

keemsquad Transplanted NL #1 and #3 to final 5 gal pots from solo cups. Propagating #2 to see what it can do, but not sure what I'm doing with it. Manually plucked leaves off two plants, hopefully I didn't go too hard. In addition tried to pull down the new growth tips for LST. Plan to top in another two nodes after both plants get there. Also put carbon filters on the intake vents!!! Edit... topped.

keemsquad Well after some topping last week, some LST over the weekend, and more LST and defoliation, the plants are growing out in interesting shapes. Hoping for this weird shape to turn them into monsters in veg.

keemsquad This week is now week 4! I’m using LST and defoliation to spread out the plants as much as possible hoping to create a truly compact shape and structure. Looking forward, I’d like the plant to be well LST’d and compact until it is roughly 10-12 inches tall before I flip it. This may be a few more weeks, but I want the entire canopy to be at that height so that the stretch will really be beneficial.

keemsquad Well I messed up my calendar count but otherwise just trying to get a well spread and even canopy.

keemsquad Dam I had accidentally LST’d too hard on Monday, 6/7, and unintentionally topped one of my main branches on NL #3. So, I did the rational thing and topped every other major side-shoot branch on all 3 plants. Fun, this growing thing, isn’t it?

keemsquad Just defoliated like a madman... broke a couple of tops along the way with some novice supercropping attempts. Not really sure how much longer these babies are staying in veg, but I want a fully canopy in the tent!
