So this has been a strange week to say the least We've been getting a lot of sunlight these last few weeks which have been great for the plants, but its been getting really hot during these June days (89 deg) which has my plants drying out much quicker then expected.
I noticed some discoloration in some of the new leaves and thought perhaps my plants were shutting down because of the heat or perhaps my starting soil is running out of nutrients. Doing some research, from my newbie eyes that it could possibly be lack of iron or possibly Phosphorus. I have some soluble
0-0-13 that I use as a foliar spray with my tomato plants when it gets to hot so I decided to mix up a batch and see if it helps at all. Sprayed the leaves down in hopes they'll absorb enough to fix what looks like a nutrient lock up.
Low Stress training has been going well so far. Still trying to figure out which branches I let grow upwards and which ones to tie down.
Currently watering with my house faucet that's hooked up to the well with an iron and softener. Have been lowering the Ph to 6.5. May add some tiger bloom and grow big If I don't see any changes with the foliar spray. Will continue to keep an eye on on the discoloration.
