A little windy for the pics today.
Tied them off is about all to add this week. Growing like a weed. One of the platinum OG from bag seed is showing her sex with a couple of fat little pistols sticking out. That made me happy. Their not throwing to many branches yet like the Gelatos are. Their starting to shoot out now. They sure have a heck of a fat stalk forming on them though...
Both the Platinum OG have shown their sex and were good to grow. Their a longer thinner plant with a massive fat stalk going right to the top. They reach a certain size and now their starting to fill out. The leaves on one of the plants is literally 1 1/2 foot wide. Biggest leaves I have ever seen., and the pistols reaching out of the calyxes are one of the fastest little pistols I have ever seen.
Using the Backcountry blend grow fertilizer., just sprinkle on once every 3 weeks. Just need to water. Plants seem to be likening it. The Gelatos are growing the same as in the indoors. Not impressed with these strains of Gelato.
Thanks for the interest friends.
These Platinum OG girls grow tall before filling out. Huge leaves, huge stems. The one girl is almost 6 ft already. The backcountry blend nutrients are good. Sprinkle a little around the plants every 3 weeks.
Picked up the backcountry blend bloom as well. 40 bucks no tax. Couldn't resist. Regular 137.99 from green planet.
The girls are enjoying their view of the mountains and the water...
The backcountry blend ferts, are keeping them happy. Going to be some pretty big plants here. 2 months of growing left, before flower time...
Girls are turning into monsters. The big growth is just coming on. Gonna be some big mothering plants... Tall one is almost 9 ft. tall now. That's one of the platinum og their in the back. Gelatos are the 2 in the front.
Backcountry blend is working great..
Platinum OG is in full bloom a month early. I don't mind what so ever. She is about 11 ft. tall with a stalk that could knock you out. Plants are very happy so far this yr. Just need the rain to stop now. Don't need moldy bud. Have to keep a good eye for the rot if the rain persists..
Girls are doing their thing.
Aug. 19th
Had a couple of cold nights last week, down to 10 one night and 8 the other. Had some color come into the leaves. Gave them a shot of floranova bloom and massive bloom formulation yesterday, incase their lacking p and k. Buds are starting to swell on the big platinum og. Thinking a month, maybe a little longer until she is ready. Never had a plant start to flower in the middle of july before...She should get to fully ripen this yr. She should make for some great smoke as the smell on the fingers is very sweet...
Some relief from the heatwave finally. The tall budded out girl is enjoying the cooler weather and beautiful big buds are getting longer and fatter. She is a beautiful sight. The smell coming from these girls is very strong in the entire area. If the breeze is blowing my way, that's all you can smell. Never had a photo period plant start budding so soon. With it's sativa dominance this is going to be some amazing day time smoke. Budding out through the heat of the summer here in Canada, where as most strains are just starting to bud now. Two other platinum og's have also started early, but not as early as this beast of a girl. She is an amazon.... Thanks for the interest my friends....
Thought the big girl was soon to be ready but looking at her the already massive buds are completely covered with new calyxes and are looking like they could put on another 1/4 their size and maybe another 3 or 4 inches in length. This is the best plant for canada I have ever seen. Started budding in early july and she is really throwing out some huge 3 and 4 ft long buds that can make my hat dissapear when I put it to the other side of the bud. The trichs are 70% cloudy now but lots of new tiichs with the new bud formation going on. Making it hard to see if the older resin is clouding or ambering. The smell from this girls is very sweet smelling, it's hard to explain. It's odours is 60 times stronger than the gelatos and so much better smelling. This big girl with the big buds was from a store bought bag of weed that gave me about 12 seeds from 3 ounces bought. Had 2 girls hermie, one indoors and one I gave to a friend that grew it outdoors. 2 I had for outdoors didn't hermie. I have looked for seeds relentlessly to make sure she didn't hermie and screw up my gem gelato fast flowers. You have no idea how much I am looking forward to the platinum og to finish up. I have never seen buds so long and fat. The pictures do not do it justice. Thank you Lord for supplying me with the best girl I have ever grown. She is an amazing cannabis specimen... Bag seeds can rock, just have to be prepared to lose a couple to the sick transgenderism. Woke plants must go...
Sept.11th
Cropped the platinum og today. One massive lady. Hand trimming her. Just a little dent tonight. About 3 lbs wet done so far. Big hard sweet smelling buds. It is a sight. Will keep posting pics as I trim.
A phenomenal plant for our Canadian climate. This girl started budding in the first week of july. Long dense buds with a very sweet smell. Very sticky, gums up the scissors every few minutes. Be prepared and have
ISO alcohol ready for cleaning your gummed up scissors.
Cropped yesterday. 3 lbs trimmed and in hanger yesterday, and trimmed up another 7 lbs today. Was a busy day today and this evening. Binge trim. Got most of the big girl trimmed up now, a couple of more real big branches to go. Buds are massive and very dense. Hardly any small buds on this big girl. Smell is a very sweet smell. Don't even mind the scent in the house. Wasn't any amber trichs, but mostly cloudy. . Didn't want to wait any longer as the buds were growing fatter and longer yet., but their so dense I was seeing some bud rot starting , so that made my mind up. Will update the other girls still budding tomorrow. Looking forward to trying this.
These girls will be ready soon.
Sept.24th
First gelato down, and boy, what a pain in my arse trying to trim this sticky goo. 3 steady days to trim on plant. Worse than the gorilla glue 4. Can't wait to try this outdoor.
Some bud rot, so time to come down. Very heavy girl. One gelato almost ready to jar. This one needs a good trimming. 36 hours to trim the first gelato I brought down. Looks like more hours will go into this one. The last plant still standing is a kalia kush. She is still going strong, with no rot happening yet.
Sept 29th
Jarred up the first gelato I took down last night. Total from this girl comes in at a phenomenal 41 ounces in total. The smoke is the best outdoors I have ever grown. Buds are very dense and the taste for outdoor is very good. Also a very long lasting, intense high. This make my nose run and my ears ring. These buds are tough to break up in a grinder, even tough to just get the grinder closed.. the second gelato is all trimmed and drying. Lost a little to bud rot here and there, but figuring to have close to the first plant when dried. The second gelato is much more intense smelling. Totally different pheno than the #1 gelato
@Ferenc, The platinum og that is just about ready, I thought, is doing some amazing growing now that the weather has cooled some. Thanks for the look my friend. If you want to see dense plants, have a look at the super skunks I am growing in the neighbours garden. Their just monsters...
@Hempy_the_kid, when I go out and look at them, they do the same to me. Amazing girls. I would tell everyone to consider fast flowers for outdoors. Where my normal super skunks have just started a week or 2 ago, these girls have been budding for 5 weeks now. Thanks for the look and comment my friend....
@Poppetnewbie, I can see over a lb dried already from the one tall girl and she is coming on strong now. New flowers forming and buds still gaining length. This is an amazing plant. Started budding early in July and is forming bud 4 ft long. Glad I still have a few seeds from this strain... Thanks for the look and comments...
@zamurai, Thanks my friend. My mom always said I have a green thumb. Wish she was here still.... The tree I have going in the neighbours garden is a couple foot bigger than the big one in the water side diary. There is a 15 foot high and a phenomenal 12 foot wide if I didn't have her tide in. 4 to 5 foot long buds on some of the branches. Amazing what bag seed can do. The big girl in the waterside is actually a kalia kush. The platinum, og in the neighbors garden is another platinum og. I got the two mixed up when I planted. The platinum og that was in the waterside is almost dried now. Just waiting to try it out.
@miahbdanky, they are some biggins. Not the biggest I have grown but some of the best budders I have ever seen for outdoors in Canada. Thanks friend...
@Hazemaster420, well thanks again my friend. Hoping the weather stays good for the next couple months now. One will be done soon, but the rest have some ways to go...
@guerilla, Thanks my friend. More ready to jar tomorrow from the second gelato. Happy camper this year. Took the big girl in the neighbours garden down as well today. Its smelling up the house hanging downstairs. Letting that one dry before trimming. One left to take down by the water. Just waiting on the trichs to do a little more ambering before she comes down. She is a pretty big girl as well. Got weed coming out my yin yang. But I ain't complaining....
@UKPersonal420,Thanks my friend...A couple of grams finger hash, or scissor hash I should say. It's a nice early treat of the buzz to come. The second day of trimming this girl and it's worse now. This stuff is a pain in my arse. Scissors don't want to cut anymore. Clean them and 2 buds later they need cleaning again. Worse than the gorilla glue by far. I have a machine trimmer, but just can't put this girl through her. I don't want to ruin this baby. Stickiest girl ever...
@UKPersonal420,Thanks bro. Just took another plant down., one of the gelatos. Not liking trimming this one. She is pretty sticky. I'll wait until the other gelato is ready before I post the harvest.
Fantastic grows and plants all around! Man, I am envious or your outdoor grow. Fantastic job! It was good for me to see what my plants should be doing at the different stages. Thanks! Good luck with all your grows. Cheers!😛
