5/24/21 - three seeds placed on moistened paper towel enclosed by two small plates in a warm space. 2 seeds roughly same in size, one considerably larger. roughly 80f, 50% rH in the germination space (aka storage closet). 5/26/21 - seedlings were planted in FFOF soil, compostable germination pots, grouped together in a takeaway soup container, domed by a sandwich bag* 5/28/21 - 2/3 seedlings have emerged, one lagging behind. soil moistened by spray bottle filled w/ dechlorinated water 5/29/21 - final seedling emerges 6/1/21 - transplant seedlings** to 5 gal, fabric pots filled w/ FFOF soil. seedlings still domed by sandwich bags, weighed down with soil. misted inside the bag 2-3 times a day, soil kept wet around the seedling roughly 2-3 in. diameter. *i found this technique very effective in my last grow though ideally i would replace the laminated paper soup container with a SOLO cup... if i could just remember to pick them up from costco lol ** should be noted that i broke away and removed the compostable starter pots. through experimentation i found they inhibited growth either by root bounding the seedling inside the starter pot or insufficient drainage from said pot, flooding the roots. the starter pots peel away/fall apart very easily, but i will likely be using a different method once i run out of these ;)

set up the scrog net in the tent, bending down the tallest colas in an attempt to level out the canopy plant ties still employed to keep base of the stalk nice and perpendicular recharge and boogie brew more or less the same ratios

continuing previous grow techniques but plants are starting to show deficiencies. started asking around a grow discord i'm a part of and was told to add PK booster. ordered it and it should arrive by 7/24/21, hope that's not too late. at this point i've started to heavily research "living soil" and the "soil food web" in preparation for a full "living soil" grow. however in discussions on the discord, i've learned that many experienced growers prefer to grow organically outdoors, while using salt nutrients to grow indoors. since i have two tents, i believe for my next grow i will try to grow one batch in living soil and the other in coco w/ dry amendments (megacrop or something to that effect). while i am attracted to the idea of full organic grow (all natural, respecting the plant/mother nature) i'm noticing it's a steep learning curve which is less forgiving than salt nutrients. my first grow in which i used FFOF liquid nutrient trio, from feminized auto bx1 seeds from the same company, i got a big, beautiful, delicious yield from just one plant. i am starting to worry these plants won't end up like that, and i'm unsure how long it will take for me to dial in a true organic grow. i've got several texts i want to read in preparation for a true "living soil" grow, but i like the idea of having a coco/salts tent as a backup/control group. any input on this would be greatly appreciated! in the meantime, got some more books to read i guess :)

still waiting on the PK booster. yellowing seems to be spreading and the growth definitely seems stunted. little to no height gained, colas look more or less the same. PK booster should arrive tomorrow, hoping that rectifies the issue. however, i'm told that organic soil grows are hard to correct once they veer off course so... fingers crossed this grow will bounce back because i was really looking forward to/counting on a nice dank yield... any advice/feedback is greatly appreciated! see previous week for more of my thoughts on organic v. salt nutrient grows for future attempts.
