Chose to use the paper towel method.
But first, I soaked each seed in its own glass of water for a day on 4/10/21.
Then placed in wet paper towel. Took about 3 days to see tap roots about 1cm long.
Placed the seeds taproot down, about an inch into the soil on 4/14/21.
Day 1: Emerged out of the soil!
Day 2:
Day 3: Purple Punch was still dealing with shedding the seed casing. Got a nice pic of it.
Day 4: Healthy leaves :)
Day 5:
Day 6: Started to gain height. Wedding Cake leaves look incredible.
Day 7: Next set of leaves have started forming!
Overall, a fun first week. Was scared of overwatering so I only watered twice this week. Obviously no added nutrients.
Day 8: Purple Punch looks very nice so far.
Day 9:
Day 10:
Day 11: Plants are getting noticeably bigger.
Day 12:
Day 13:
Day 14: First day of nutrients was today. Instead of the 6tsp/gal, I went on the light side. I mixed 64oz of tap water (7pH) with 1.5 tsp of Fox Farm Big Bloom. Adjusted it to 6.5pH and poured that 64oz of feed into 4 water bottles. Using 1 for each plant. During the feeding is when I first realized that the Critical Orange had a genetic issue. Instead of 3 finger leaves, it had 2 on one set of leaves. I hoped it didn't impact much.
Overall, this week was relatively stress free. Humidity hovered around 55-65% this week. Plants look very green.
Day 15: No water tomorrow. Letting them dry. Humidity has spiked since we have had rain 3 days in a row. I ordered a mini dehumidifier.
Day 16: Setup the mini dehumidifier. Reduced the humidity some but not as much I wanted. Still around 60%
Day 17: Noticed the white spots on the Critical Orange Punch. It ended up being dried splashes from when I fed it nutrients.
Day 18: 2nd day of nutrients. Just fox farm big bloom.
Day 19:
Day 20:
Day 21: Purple Punch looks so good. Great spacing compared to the rest.
Overall, this week had a few issues. But nothing I didn't expect. As a rookie with a decent amount of research, I knew the humidity problem wasn't too big of a deal at this stage. I later got it completely under control. The white spots scared me at first, but it happened again a week or two after and I wasn't phased :)
Day 22: Watered this morning. Some lower leaves are shadowed now.
Day 23:
Day 24: Today I gave them nutrients and started to rotate the plants clockwise each day once. Might as well try and see what happens!
Day 25: Placed a Frigidaire dehumidifier in the room, outside the tent. Humidity now under complete control at 45%
Day 26: Watered today.
Day 27: Think I overwatered them. I see some curling on the tips of the Wedding Cake Auto especially.
Day 28: Gonna do nutrients tomorrow.
Overall, this week was exciting. Got the tent's humidity under control at 45-50% now. Started to do some leaf tucking, to expose the lower leaves a little more.
Day 29: Nutrients today. Did some defoliation and leaf tucking today. A lot of newer growth on the bottom, has been given more light.
Day 30: Plants responded well to the defoliation.
Day 31: Seems like they're going crazy. 250mL of water for each tonight.
Day 32: Critical Orange Punch isn't spreading out like the other 3.
Day 33: Nutrients again. Added a tiny amount of Tiger Bloom to the mix this time.
Day 34: Seeing greeeeeeeeeeeen.
Day 35: Watered today. Lowered the light to 24 inches today as well.
Overall, this week went smooth. And I realized my plants could take some defoliation just fine!
Day 36: Watered just a little tonight.
Day 37: Gave them nutrients today.
Day 38:
Day 39: Pistils are popping up everywhere. Plants have grown 3 inches in the last two days.
Day 40: Fed them nutrients today.
Day 41: Defoliated some on all 4. Watered again today.
Day 42: Having to water every day now. Did some minor defoliation today. Bud Sites are popping on all 4 at this point.
Overall, this week felt rewarding. All 4 plants started to flower. I was surprised at how long these autos took to start flowering. But hopefully extra veg time turns into larger yields!
Day 43: The budsites on the Purple Punch auto are starting to look fantastic.
Day 44: Fed them nutrients today.
Day 45: They're looking nice!
Day 46: I've been defoliating the last few days to clear up the budsites, allowing the lower sites to get more light.
Day 47: Instead of doing two major waters per week, I've been watering them about 1 water bottle (500mL) per plant, every day or so. The Purple Punch is now 26 inches tall from the topsoil. It has gained 2 inches of height in a day.
Day 48: Gave them nutes today. Time for the tiger bloom to make em go crazy. The other 3 plants aside from the Purple Punch are now about 18 inches tall.
Day 49: Let's get it! 7th week down. Here we come #8
Overall, this week went smooth. My tent is filling up great. I did some heavy defoliation over the last few days of this week. I started to have the occasional leaf start to die at the bottom of plants. So I wanted to give the plants better airflow and light penetration.
Day 50: They're getting bushy!!!
Day 51: Gave them nutrients tonight.
Day 52:
Day 53: Purple Punch showing out.
Day 54: They received nutrients today.
Day 55: Just waiting for the other 3 to go crazy with pistils. They have a ton, but they're not surrounding the entire budsites yet.
Day 56: Purple Punch is up to 36 inches tall.
Overall, this week was the week of the stretch. Extremely noticeable stretch for all of them. Purple Punch had a few 2-3 inch growth days. Northern Lights and Wedding Cake are catching up to the Purple Punch towards the end of the week.

Day 57: Gave them nutrients today. They're looking so good today.
Day 58: Sheeeeeeshhhhh
Day 59: Purple Punch is 41.5 inches tall now. I bought some blackstrap unsulphured molasses powder, and a product called Flower Fuel. They will be here soon.
Day 60: Molasses Powder comes tomorrow.
Day 61: Gave them my normal nutrient mix along with 2 tsp molasses powder (1tsp of powder per liter), and a sprinkle of flower fuel. I mix 64 fluid oz of water with those amounts, and give each plant 16 fluid oz of nutrient mix. So 2tsp powder TOTAL.
Day 62: They seemed to respond well to the molasses.
Day 63:
Overall, this week was exciting. My plants are all gaining height quickly.
Heights (measured Day 62) :Purple Punch 42", Northern Lights 32", Wedding Cake 31", and Critical Orange Punch 21"

Day 71: Gave them nutrients today. Starting to reduce how much nutrient mix I give to the Purple Punch.
Day 72: Plants are all maturing at a good pace last few days. Looking fatter and fatter.
Day 73: Orange hairs have appeared on my Purple Punch. Pistils starting to turn orange.
Day 74:
Day 75: Purple Punch is swelling up. Northern Lights is rapidly changing. Gave them nutrients again today.
Day 76:
Day 77: Trichomes are stacking on the Purple Punch like crazy.
Overall, this week was a quick one. Fed them twice, saw significant changes in the maturity of all 4. Expecting the Purple Punch to be done in 2-3 weeks??

Day 79: Crystals visible to the eye are now on the Northern Lights.
Day 80: Fed the three nutes today (Purple Punch is on water only now).
Day 81: Trichomes are looking mostly clear, some cloudy.
Day 82:
Day 83: Gave them some nutrients. Some amber trichomes have shown themselves. Thinking harvest might be in 7-10 days.
Day 84:
Overall, this week went smooth. Purchased a 30-120x microscope/jewelers loupe type device to check my trichomes.
