Here we go again!!!
This round will be a test between my usual weekly dose of ecothrive biosys and product X (basically a product I have been given to play about with!!)
Seeds of choice - Seedstockers BCN Critical XXL Autos
2 gallon pots
Medium - 50% Coco, 25% perlite and 25% wormcasts with living soils grow 8 tbsp, bloom 4 tbsp, bloom2 2 tbsp, frass 2 tbsp, barley 2 tbsp mixed thoroughly, left for 2 weeks to balance out then separated into individual pots.
Not much to say this week, one plant is a couple of days in front of the other, just plain water this week.
Now Living Soils are retailing Product X I can now say the test is between Mycoboost Vs Biosys, they will get their first inoculation next week.
Thanks for stopping by 👍
Ok they have had their first inoculation today, I chose the healthier plant for mycoboost as I do want to test the product on a healthy plant, the biosys plant looks like it is struggling with the soil being a bit hot for her the mycoboost has little signs of over-fert but not much and looks to be handling it ok, just need to monitor over the next week. I'm not going to give these girls anymore feed for at least another week maybe 2. The p1000 is 18 inch above canopy and at around 70% ish

Ok, so some good growth rates over the last week.
Mycoboost plant - doing fantastic looking like a good healthy girl should. Inoculated today at 1 TSP per 2 gallon.
Biosys plant - she stunted from the over fert issues at the begining but she seems to be pulling through. Inoculated today at 1g per litre.
Neither plant has had a feed yet, just plain water this week.

What a difference a week makes, the biosys plant is now starting to catch the mycoboost plant!!
Visual differences at this stage - the mycoboost plant is more into flower than the biosys plant. Also the mycoboost plant is a deeper hazel green more of a kelp colour with the biosys the standard green we see regularly
Both plants have had their first top dress, each plant has had the following -
1 tbsp of bloom
1 TSP of bloom2
1 TSP of barley
Inoculation - mycoboost 2 TSP / biosys 1g per litre
Now the fun begins!!!

Ok so first mistake of the grow, I didn't hit bloom early enough, the mycoboost plant hit flower earlier then the biosys so should have really hit it then. Gave both girls a P heavy compost tea this week as I'm looking at the mycoboost plant and saying she needs P.
Top dress this week -
Bloom 2 tbsp per 2 gal
Bloom2 1 tbsp per 2 gal
Barley 1 TSP per 2 gal
Mycoboost - 1 TSP per 2 gal
Biosys - 1g per litre

So looks like the Myco plant is on the mend, new green growth coming through but we did lose a few leaves in the process, the biosys plant has now stretched past the myco plant. Time to coast them through to harvest!

Just plain water this week. Mycoboost plant is still perking up and is now producing trichomes. The biosys plant is still stretching a bit.
Still on deficiency watch.
Temps have been a pain in the backside this week, managed to get them down to 28.5 which isn't ideal but better than 34. Both plants have been fed this week..
2 gal pot - 1 tbsp bloom2, 1.5 tbsp bloom, 1 TSP of barley
Myco plant had 1/2 TSP of mycoboost
Biosys - 1g per litre

Ok so this week only the biosys plant has had a feed, 2 X tbsp of bloom2, and 1 tbsp of barley. The mycoboost plant is now on her diet, trichomes are virtually all cloudy with 6 wks of flower, she isn't going to be the biggest yielder, but she got there quick.
Both plants suffered a bit this week, I have been away and the so called mate didn't water, thanks pal!!
Right time to start preparing for the next season and getting some jars filled!
Thanks for stopping by 👍
The girls are coming along, they are showing the effects of me being away too long not ideal at this stage but shit happens!! Both girls have had a feed, I know I said the myco plant was on a diet but if she isn't going to be a yielder then she is going to be a bedtime smoke!

Ok so as you can see there has been some changes this week. The girls have been transplanted from their 2 gal pots to a 20 gal bed, basically I was getting pissed off with dealing with deficiencies after deficiencies in the 2 gals, and a suspected lockout. Yes I did really transplant 2 autos in week 6 of flower.
20 gal bed - 1/3 Coco and peat (50/50 mix) 1/3 aeration and 1/3 organic compost + wormcasts. To this base I added volcanic rock dust, gypsum and living soils mycoboost, barley and some mycorrhizae. In terms of feed this is being done through worms and avacado tech, inside the avacado is living soils grow, bloom and bloom2, seaweed meal and bokashi bran to assist with the decomposition. Might need to transfer some more worms from the bin but will keep an eye out.

And then there was one, the smaller plant has now been harvested, a couple of sample buds taken last week says she is ready!! Now looking to the next season, cover crop has been chopped, more worms added from the worm bin and some more on order!! Still getting the watering down in the bed, might put the blumats in but want to get the soil fully operational first before I install them, gave the bed a small dose of molasses this week and some calcified seaweed, the remaining plant has about 2 - 3 week left yet.

She is coming along slowly, still another 2 weeks yet easily, so we just sit and be patient!! Found a couple of gnats so started ipm with nematodes, hypoaspis miles and some lady birds are on order.
Thanks for stopping by 👍
So this week has been all about IPM, nematodes, hypoaspis miles and lady birds have all been added, the bed has been topped up with top soil and Coco, with living soils barley, wormcasts and mycoboost watered in with a molasses tea. She is still chugging along, another week or 2 yet.
Thanks for stopping by 👍
She is pretty much ready now, going to leave her a couple more days, the blumats have now gone in and new cover crop has been sown.
