Germinated 5 seeds all were successful popped from 7th-15th, I waited until all were ready and potted all on 15th , only 2 were successful sprouting-Queen (the first one to pop with a huge thick tap root ) and shock ( the smallest tap root ) , both sprouted on 17th , so I chucked them on the windowsil in the sun and saw green after 2 days and the beginnings of leaves. So now I start to have some faith in these bag seeds watching the girls grow i realised the shells were stuck on the leaves of both or was i trying to rush the process?. I decided to wait it out so over the next 2 days i realised they were going nowhere and these were so spindly and weak i ended up gently picking the shell off and by this point i now realise that these are not going ok and the weather had taken a turn for the worst so on 23rd they started under a 600w hid light in theyre nice new tent ( which I do not like and will not be lasting this full grow) , after a few hours under the light they were looking a little less happy i know the soil level has a big part to play with the stretching but I didn't want to fuss with them so that was tuff so I popped a toothpick or 2 in each pot to point the girls in the right direction but not give enough stability so they can hold weight .
This week started on 23rd, started watering from 200ml each at lights out , not much happened to these spindly whisps and I did not waste time taking pictures by this point i thought they had finally given up but I noticed slowly they were taking to the environment change and perking up a little and enjoying the heat so on 27th I changed the light schedule to 18 hours on so I turn them on 2 hours earlier as I'm having trouble keeping them warm until they're forever home , the girls looking like they love the light schedule and the vega but until I can get a ph meter , something for the humidity, a permanent thermometer I'm doing things by eye and taking it slowly feeding vega every other day for a while incase they go into a mood again .
The weather this week warmed up temps were hard to control , used ice and fans to cool down but temps were still 31+ degrees for an hour now and again over a 3 day period , they seemed to handle the heat ok but I re potted because they were looking sorry for themselves and I felt they were too low also wanted some more air and drainage holes before another move to a final pot ( still plenty of room in current size) , both root balls were looking good fed sequestered iron and seaweed to try and help with any shock but both seem to have perked up so I've upped the vega , I'm not sure if the smaller one may have an issue as her stems from the leaves have started to turn
A deep purple new growth is green and main stem so I'm just going to keep an eye over the next few days watch everything closely before trouble shooting, currently making the final pots possibly 2x 15 gal and just scrog them but still a little undecided .
So I knew they were tight for space in those pots I could see roots through the holes in the side so I had to re-pot , I fed them vega mixed with seaweed just like the last time to prevent any shock and they had a huge growth spirt , these tiny spindly things have turned themselves around ! . I may change the light schedule this week in prep for flower , been turning them a quarter every few hours because I think there's some hot spots so it stops them curling and they seem to like it , upped the vega a little bit and it seemed to boost them more . The smell has been coming along slowly since the start of the week and getting stronger , its quite a sweet smell ,I'm Just kind of going with the plants and aslong as they're happy its all cool. Had to raise the light twice this week .
