flaknugget My first grow, and I don't want setup a grow-tent indoors. I hope the weather is nice.
Trying out these seedling bags, hoping I can avoid some transplant shock. They are pretty unstable.

flaknugget I moved the 3 plants into their final planters on day 7. I left one of the stretchy ones in the seedling bag, I don't think I'll plant it. Starting to add nutrients at half-dose.

flaknugget dialed-up nutrients to full recommended dosage, 'base' and 'grow' at 2 grams/gallon, and CalMag 1 gram / gallon. Powder is insanely concentrated, I can't seem to represent this correctly with the nutrient widget on this site.

flaknugget - started dick'n around with LST. I'm a noob. I think it is already producing results, the branches coming out of the lower nodes are growing much faster when I expose them.
- On June 30, the forecast is saying 3 days of intermittent rain ahead, I moved the plants under a gazebo on my porch to keep them out of the rain, I added a small LED grow lamp to run over nights.

flaknugget I can't tell if these girls have started blooming, but I'm expecting it anyday. I starting adding in bloom nutrient to the existing grow blend.
I'm seeing tiny holes in some leaves, and I'm assuming they are some kind of bug, but I don't see anything living on the plants. Are bugs making these holes or something else?
flaknugget week 6 y'all! All plants began flowering to some degree in week 5.
Continuing with the Dakine Grow/Bloom mix for the rest of this week, then I'll shift to a bloom mix exclusively.

flaknugget I've been using a Neem Oil mixture for the past 2 weeks, seems to be scaring away the bugs making holes in the leaves.
I've moved onto a pure bloom mix now, and will keep it like this until the end.

I've given the plants names, "Stretch", "Stump" and "Planter".
DAY 60:
The weather has been great, mild, dry, sunnny. I'm taking lotsa pics.
"Stump" hasn't grown much for the last 2 weeks, but seems to be a lot more advanced in blooming then the other two.
Neem oil mix is keeping the bugs off very well, but grasshoppers still get a nibble occasionally.
I've started pinching-off sickly and obfuscating leaves.

flaknugget Week 8 was the funnest yet. Perfect weather, "Stretch" and "Planter" are essentially in their final form, and bud growth is in full swing, each has tons of bud sites with great distribution of sunlight. "Stump" is 1-2 weeks further along in development. So I hope this all works out.
Alll plants seem well into flowering, and healthy. The main nutrient mix remains the same, but I've been watering it down to about 3/4 strength, I'm terrified of nutrient burn at this point, things are going real smooth, and don't want to disrupt that.

flaknugget Not much to report, the plants are all doing well, developing buds. 'Stretch' added a central limb to fill in space, I was surprised how much vegetative growth is still happening with her. Stump hasn't grown in about 3 weeks, but bud growth is doing fine.

flaknugget On day 81 I've begun flushing 'Stump', and used up the last of my nutrient water on 'Stretch' and 'Planter', which I'll start flushing in about 2 days. Another week-or-two, and it will be cutting time!
*EDIT* 2021-08-25: So after asking about the right time to flush, and beginning to flush 'Stump' a couple of days again, I'm now thinking that flushing is just some weed-snob nonsense, and really isn't critical. This study dug into the question, and there may not be as much value to it as some suggest... https://www.rxgreentechnologies.com/rxgt_trials/flushing-trial/
So I'll just keep-up with the nutes until harvest day, and do a 24-hour flush when I'm ready.
Man this is taking a lot longer than I had planned for. 12-weeks from seed now, and probably another 3-4 weeks is my current guess.
Is it time to start flushing, and prepping to harvest in a week or two? Or should I allow some more flowering time and nutrient salts?
I'm thinking flush, but eager for opinions. The hairs on all plants seem majority red/orange.
Iβm torn on this but I honestly think youβve suffered from some limiting factors that caused those buds to stay smaller.. but would say you are right about 2-3.5 weeks from the harvest date.
It looks like theyβre damn near finished right now by some factors, yet looks also like youβve got a ton of growth to put on.. which would mean 4 weeks at least.
If you donβt have a 30x-60x jeweler loupe to check trichomes - order one now. To me - This is just one of those plants you absolutely need to see the trichs up close to decide on harvest date.
If you donβt have the means to get one, my best guess is to start flushing in a few days and then chop in 14 from today.
Autos are weird like that and thatβs why I donβt like them personally.
Good luck!
flaknugget Buds continue to blow-up. I got a jeweler's loop to check the trichome, which seem cloudy, but not white or amber. So These girls will probably be ready to cut next week.
Keeping-up the nutes, at 60% potency.

flaknugget This is the 14th week since seed. And I just chopped Stump, which had long been a little ahead in development compared to her sisters. I'll need to cut the others at the beginning of next week, because I need to leave town, and the weather is getting cold enough that these girls will not grow any more.

flaknugget Welp... Day 99 and these girls are getting chopped in a couple of hours. I would have let them go for another week, but I've run out of time and good weather.
I'm pretty happy with these two, can't wait to see the dry weigh-in. They've had a 24hr flush.
Hardy, easy to grow. But took several weeks longer then expected, that's my only complaint really. Stump was the most developed of the sisters and it took 13-14 weeks from seed. The other 2 are still about 2-3 weeks from harvest time, but I'll need to cut next week regardless.

flaknugget Day 95 (2021-09-05) Stump is Chopped, washed and hung. I didn't weigh anything yet, as the washing process added a lot of extra water weight. I'll update when this is dry and in jars. I would guess 'Stump' will be around a 1/2oz.
Day 98 (2021-09-08) Stump is dry enough to put into a jar with a humididty pack. Final dry weight is just 9 grams. I'm expecting more from the others, who are still growing for a couple more days.
Hardy strain, no major problem growing outdoors, but took much longer to grow then I had anticipated.

flaknugget This harvest is for 'Planter' (the one not in a grow bag)
'Planter' did much better than 'Stump'. Buds seem lighter and less dense then I had hoped, but I'm sure the quality will be excellent.

flaknugget This harvest entry is for 'Stretch' the largest of the 3 sisters.
Not much to say, this was the largest yield of the 3 plants, and it isn't even close. Stump was stunted, planter produced about 2/3 the wet bud as this one. Looking forward to getting the dry weight.
Day 111 (2021-09-22): 16 Grams dry from this lady. Found about 5 seeds in the mix, which is a little worrying, not sure how that happened.
