Tomoyo Of the 3 seeds, two germinated. The one that didn't germinate had some kind of mold, maybe the jiffy was too wet or damaged.
The one that germinated first (Joaquina) stretched quite a bit and I had to bury it deeper when transplanting.
The second one that germinated (Fermina) I will transplant today with a slightly thicker stem because it's not stretching, but the seed shell doesn't let me see the leaves yet. However, I'm going to take the risk.
Joaquina is in a white felt pot.
Fermina is in a white plastic pot.

Tomoyo The two plants are more or less the same height even though they are a week apart.
I was worried about them stretching ☹️ So I added more soil to their pots.
They are still in a room with plenty of natural light but no direct sunlight. I'm waiting for them to grow a bit more before taking them out in the sun. I hope I'm doing the right thing.

Tomoyo I see them slow and weak. I have to keep moving the soil so they don't bend :(
Today I put top crop automatic on them to see if they improve.
I already started putting them in the sun for a bit. I'm a little lost SOS!

Tomoyo The one in the felt pot has already started flowering. They are growing fast, finally.
I've been top dressing with auto once a week and today I added neem powder to the watering water.

Sometimes the seeds don't turn out good, and you think it's your fault. Especially in the case of purchased seeds (as opposed to those given by growers). This year, two seeds turned out to be duds for me; I managed to keep one, but I’ll barely have a harvest. The other one I had to throw away, much to my regret.
