She definitely is suffering from nitrogen deficiency. All the lower leaves that are older are dropping off/yellow and there are "read" stems on some higher leaves. If I had known the red stem thing was a sign of N deficiency then I could have recognized these symptoms days ago. No wonder her growth has stagnated. I had no clue I was just assuming its part of the flowering growing stage. She looks a bit better today at least. I should have taken pics yesterday of her completely deflated. All her leaves were flat and hanging, so sad. Today she has some perk back in her leaves but she's definitely not "happy". I think I noticed some new growth in the flower area too and if that's true then that's really good cause I'm pretty sure I just fucked the yield of this plant. A lot of her leaves have the very very tips "burnt" i'm guessing from the fact I had to basically double water her yesterday. It probably took her all yesterday to be able to breathe correctly again. Hopefully that's the extent of the damage and she can get back ons cheduel from here. Her next feeding I think I'm gonna do 3ml bloom and 1.5?ml micro. The autoflower grow guide says to only be giving bloom nutes at this stage but obviously she needs more. Mayve I'll do a little smack of cal/mag while im at it. Ah well best thing I can do now is leave her alone and watch how she recovers. I can't exactly water her again until shes all dried out so probably not till sat/sun? Bah this is definitely worse than when i overwatered her at the start and set her back. I have the fan pointed at her roots on high im hoping to dry her up a bit faster than usual so I can get that next watering in asap. She is definitely all around a very light green. Guess I shouldn't have listened to that guide that said to only use bloom during flowering for autos. You know as im looking at the second and third pictures those leaves arent necesarilly starting to yellow at the tips and there are spotty dots on some. Actually the first pic too. The leaves are still green at the edges? Idk if that's normal for Nitrogen Deficiency. But she definitely isnt so late into the flowering stage that you would expect yellowing leaves and these kinds of issues.. so i'm just going to treat it as N deficiency and leave it at that. If other symptoms show up we will go from there but it is what it is for now. W7D2 She's still drying up from the last watering. The yellowing seems to have slowed down so hopefully she cant keep waiting for that nitrogen W7D3Been trying to figure out how much of which nutes to give her this feeding. I don't want to go overboard on Nitrogene when shes flowering and wont be needing to make leaves, she just needs enough to flower and not fricken die. I think, and im hoping this is a good idea.. that I'll give her 3ml of bloom and 1.4ml of micro. The micro is 5-0-1 and bloom 0-5-4 so hopefully thats a nice even feeding. I just don't know if there are any other deficiencies or issues that need to be addressed this feeding. D4 She seems to still be pretty stressed. Not sure if the lower leaves yellowing is still progressing up the plant or not. Doesnt seem to be? She isn't fully perked up or raising her leaves to the light. The leaves closest to the fan are up a bit from the stress of the wind but its 80 in there with the fan on high so I don't really wanna fuck with that. Stems still red.. possibly a bit less of it around the plant. Flowers still seem to be fairly far behind other grows of NL Auto on this site. She looks more like shes at the start of week 7 not in the middle of week 8. I"m not sure what to do besides let her be and hope for the best. D5 Not fully dry yet. I'd adjust the top stems a bit more but there isnt really much room left on the sides of the tent. D6 Spent most of my day doign research and talkign to a grow friend trying to figure out what's goin gon with her. She really seems 1-2weeks behind where she should be. We came to the conclussion that it isn't the obvious N deficiency, but most likely a build up of salts from my hard tap water. So I watered her half a gallon of bottled water PHd to around 6ph. I poured through the top as best i could while she sat in her bowl. the run off was as expected normal PH and low ppm. Think it was around 600. I also pulled the light up about 3-4 inches higher. D7 She seems to be responding to the treatment better than I thought. She has perked back up a good deal. The leaves yellowing seems to still be going up the plant though. When I opened the tent I was hit by her skunky funky smell again which i havent experiences in several days. Good sign. Her Pistils still don't really show much sign of budding and I feel like the top coalas are a bit..flimsy? Easy to bend and shit. I don't remember her being that soft. This is the last day of week 8 and she looks like shes at the start of week 7. Hopefully she can still fully go to flower and make some dense buds. I guess I should be expecting a later harvest than herbies website said to expect. I think I will make her next watering a slight ammount of micro and her normal ammount of bloom. Since I gave her only half a gallon yesterday I may be able to water her again tomorrow. People who responded to my question seem to be under the guise that the tips are burnt from nute burn or something like that but I am 90% sure it's because I stupidly tried to double water her one day using buttchug and def forgot about her for like half hour- hour. My bad plant baby. D7 night. well fuck. What the hell. Why. I seriously don't understand what i'm doing wrong and what she needs.

Is this a simple N deficiency or a lockout? I gave her more N last feeding but nothing seems to have changed. still stunted and still bottom yellow leaves. Should I feed her a micro/bloom mix or flush her??! Her soil ph seems to be correct and ppm so idk if its a build up of salt

Just had a quick scan through the diary. Looks like all the leaves are healthy except the ones you have pointed out. So it could be as the leaves are quite low down that they are not getting enough light as growth above it blocks the light. In which case remove the fucked up leaves as the lower down the plant you get the more airy you buds will be. Or you may have overwater/water to frequent, I can't see it being that as 99% of the plant looks great. Regards your nutrient I would contine with your micro and bloom but have the micro at 50% of the bloom so if you use 1ml/L bloom then use 0.5ml/L micro

She's gotten alot more yellow since this morning. It's spreading a lot. Idk what to do. Is it a lockout or a deficiency? She seemed to have responded well to the just watering when i checked her this morning but 12hrs later and shes gotten bad. Should I water her nutes tomorrow?

Hello. By the looks of it. Possibe lock out. But also looks like a N deficiency. Check run ph to be in the 6.0-6.5 range also run tds (950-1200)see what she’s at. If all check out. she is Defficient nitrogen and potassium.

I lowered my light to take pictures and forgot to turn it back up. When I did notice it she was looking A LOT better than the last few weeks. Details in my grow diary. Have I been overlighting her? Should I keep it at like 40% strength?

Hmm, interesting.. it definitely looks better afterwards. Possibly the temps were higher with full brightness and thats what was stressing her, maybe thirsty? this stage of growth sucks up alot more water than early growth. I always recommend this app you can download on your phone called Photone - theres a in app purchase for an amazingly accurate light meter that will give you a PPFD read out. I did my reasearch on it and its within 10% of the apogee high end light sensors. Its a great tool I use often for setting light brightness and height. That will show you if you have too much light at full brightness. You want something around at least 500 PPFD, but ideally more around 1000 for flowering.

I flushed my plant because of too high ppm reading from run off and now she seems to be going all yellow. Is this normal for this stage of the grow (all trichomes still white and small buds) or is this a definite nutrients deficiency during flowering?

bro, avoid mid grow flush. this is one of the critical mistakes when growing mj. Flush should be done at the end of flowering. If you have nute burn during earlier phases, just reduce amount of nutes you are giving to them and save the flush for later phase. When leaves start to fade to yellow after a succesful flush, it is impossible to turn them back to green as all vegetative growth was done and now there is no room for extra nitrogen intake as you are in flowering. Many growers learned it that way, including me. No mid grow flush, only adjust your feeding well and flush at the end of flowering prior to harvest. If you don't see signs of burnt leaves or stunted growth, high ppm won't hurt , you can flush all the nutes out a couple of weeks before harvest. now should just keep feeding it with bloom nutes until the end.

Is there anything I can do at this point in the grow to help her along before harvest? I made the mistake of flushing her once last week when she seemed to be having nute burn/some type of nute lockout i couldnt get under control and I can't stop the yellowing. Any suggestions?

In terms of light, download the Photone app for your phone...it's free but you'll pay for the profile for your type of lights. I'm doing my first grow too and after getting Photone and reading up on the PPFD & DLI needs in different phases it made much more sense. I bombed out my 4 little plants to the point where they're just stunted...but have been acting much better since I started metering the light and adjusting accordingly. Not enough to save the grow, but enough to be way more on top of it for the next one.

@Fallingthroughstars, Who knows. :) Maybe just a weirdo. As my little dwarfs head to flower I just lowered my light a bit and set my DLI @ 18 hours to be ~52 at the tops and ~42 towards the bottoms...we'll see how that works.

@LeastExpectedGrower, I downloaded it and at 40-50% strength and at the height of her canvas she reads like less than 500 ppfd and 14 dli. I m confused on why she is doing so much better with low light rather than full strength.

Super leafy and airy Better luck next time Less light and less nitrodgen in flower it looks like. All that nitrogen killed your trichome production and that’s why there’s hardly any THC and so much foliage
