Week one plants seem to be out of their transplant shock, and seem to be starting out nicely. This will be my second go at "Crop Steering" . The plants are fed multiple times a day but very tiny shots of water to get a good dry back during the night.
Plants are really starting to grow rapidly, and I have been trying to slow down vertical growth by pinching stems. Last run they got away from me and were grown over my vertical limit. Overall pretty happy with things so far.
What a diff a week makes...did some loli popping. Just saying again this crop steering technique makes for explosive growth...thinking I may flip to flower soon. Going to put up some netting today , and probably will run multi layers of it.
You can tell week from week how explosive and rapid the growth has been...there is def something to this CROP STEERING technique ....I feed probably 7 times a day...but tiny shots each time and get good dry backs during night time. Gonna really have to defoliate pretty soon, and get second trellis up. I also do ALOT of stem pinching to slow vertical growth with out having to actually top them so I do not loose that growth point. All in all happy with this so far. I noticed they do not have a "CROP STEERING" Technique in the grow techniques section.
Well I am seeing good flower development , plants look very happy. Growth was EXPLOSIVE I hope they may be done stretching or at least not much more. I have alot of defoliating to do but will wait a bit longer , I wait to defoliate alot at end of week 4. Need to get trellis up today on second table as it has caught up to the other table. Will be doing some bending with a lil bit of defoliating but do not want to stress plants in this critical time of bud development.
Explosive bud site production...seeing nice resin development. Hope I am done stretching..should be. What can I say very happy :) Just explosive growth. 2 words CROP STEERING ! Not bad for 3 weeks in on flower. Let me know what ya guys think. 💪😛
Start of week 4 they are starting to pack on the resin and forming into nice colas. Did a TON of defoliating and small sucker branch removal this week. Looking good so far.
Pretty uneventful week starting to lower temps at night here bring out some color. I think I got about 3 more weeks to go here and should do a lot of swelling in that time.
Well on last week of nutes going down to 1000 ppm (500 scale) and have backed off on lighting intensity to 80% plus lowered night temps to like 67f...be flushing next week and chopping down..then on to the next strain Banana Cream Cake x Jealousy (Seed Junky CUT). Super excited for this next run I cannot wait. Things are def swelling up real chunky dense buds..Overall to be honest this run was just ok for me...smells like some candy..I like skunky funky smelling weed.
Pretty uneventful I suppose , will be flushing this next week then the chop. If you people are not hip to "Crop Steering" you should give it a search and check it out , it really will DBL yields. Thanks to everyone that liked my diary and for the few follows. I will be doing another run as soon as I can of some more seed junky genetics.....new lights more precise monitoring equipment and hopefully BIG FAT resin covered buds...stay tuned I will post how the yield was from this run. Thanks again to everyone this seems to be a great friendly community of growers .
Lowered temps to upper 60's see if I could get some purple pushed out of these girls....been flushing all week long and they are coming down this weekend. They have really filled out and bulked up last weeks here should get some good numbers weight wise. I will post those results when I am done. Thanks again to all that stopped by had a peek. I will definitely do another journal next run.
Still in trim Jail so not sure what final weight will be . It really varies because I had too many and it was crowded. The final product is super AAA though. I will post some pictures later of some trimmed stuff. Pulled off 1.3 grams/watt I suppose that is ok.
