Put plants indoor for first couple of weeks in small greenhouse environment, they initially stretched to get as much light as possible however with the short grow season outdoor I tried this method to get a head start

The overall cold nights kept the plants dormant however they were still resilient and took to the soil during transplant into 5 gallon containers. Heavy rain also played a factor in stunted growth

One plant showed signs of mutation with multiple leaves from same stem. I decided to top that plant and it grew two stable colas, all other plants will grow in natural structure.

Transplanted one plant that was growing rapidly into a 15 gallon container to allow explosive growth, plants were also moved into an area out of view and with more sunlight. 5 plants are about 2 feet tall and 1 plant in 15 gallon is closer to 3 feet tall. Plants emit a pine, earth, and spice aroma

Started to have problems with insects munching on the leaves, I applied trifecta and insecticidal soap simultaneously so they do not get used to one or the other and it has seemed to stop their destruction for now. Will continue to apply one a week as a preventative measure. Have not given the plants any nutrients up to this point since they have not shown any problems during growth

Pests seem to be under control with use of trifecta and insecticidal soap. Applied 1 cup of Jobes organic fertilizer to 5 gallon pots and 2 cups of Jobes organic fertilizer to the plant in 15 gallon container. All plants receive at least 1 gallon of water every other day and 15 gallon plant receives around 2-3 gallons of water every other day depending on rain and soil touch/feel. Decided to grow a bagseed I found of gelato x GMO. While in seedling stage a chipmunk or squirrel tried to bury its stash in the soil and bent the stem over 90 degrees. I taped it up with some medical tape and it bounced right back, which is the picture I have now.

This week I started to notice some unique leaf mutations that is only happening on the largest plant towards the top cola. It is still relatively new growth, has anyone seen this before or know what could this could be from?

Fairly normal for cannabis to have the odd shaped leaf every now and then and it is not something to worry about. No plant will have 100% perfect leaves, 100% of the time. In my long experience I have seen all sorts of weird shapes in the leaves and unless every leaf is weird, there really isn't any need for concern. It is just a strange genetic mix up that has caused it, not a deficiency, too much sun, high temps or anything else. It is a bit like getting a single strand of blond hair growing on a red headed person. There is nothing wrong with the person, just a weird hair. Hope this helps,.............. Organoman.

The plants have been drinking up water rapidly with the increased heat, I have stopped using individual gallons and now started using a hose in order to speed up the process. They seem to take about 2-3 gallons each while the larger plant I have been trying to water until I see small amounts trickling out near the bottom. Will give them a second round of organic granular feeding soon! I also started to notice this week that there are a good amount of small black flies above soil. I will have to take care of this sooner than later

Had 3-4 days of rain during which I did not water and let the plants soak up what they could, after the first day of sun they all look happy and healthy, with the 15 gallon Blue MOB growing to approach 7ft tall

Gelato x GMO is taking off in the 15 gallon pot, showing rapid growth every day. The Blue MOBs seem to have stopped growing vertically in the 5 gallon buckets and are now filling out existing branches while they all reach for the sun. The 15 gallon Blue MOB seems to still be growing in height as well as filling out existing branches. Heavy rain has been persistent with few days of direct sunlight yet plants are still growing. Massachusetts ended up receiving the tail end of a big storm so I have not had to water them the entire week, the soil has stayed damp and kept the plants hydrated

Another week of pretty consistent rain, haven’t had to water much. The plants definitely seem to be entering the flowering stretch as the branches are filling out and stretching towards the sun. Continuous rain has led to overall damp soil, will treat top soil with trifecta to help against bugs laying eggs in soil due to moisture

Older leaves on bottom and middle of the plant are starting to yellow now that they don’t receive as much light, the branches have created a nice canopy surrounding the plant. I cleaned up the middles and bottom of plant by removing leaves as they completely yellow day by day, and remove small suckers that appear at the base of the branches to keep the energy going towards the tops. Plants will get another round of Jobes organic granular feed to help the new branches fatten up and provide adequate bud sites for flowering period! 5 gallons will receive 1 cup while 15 gallons will receive 2 cups of granular feed, weather predicts rain the next few days which will help the plants getting their nutrients

Plants have slowed down on water intake, and cooler nights have started to play a role in plant color. One plant has started to show purple colors on leaves as well as pistil sights! Will continue to give them Jobes organic granular feed until the point of flush

Little buds start showing up more and more everyday now, and the smell is incredible! Massachusetts has been experiencing some heat waves a lot with short intense thunderstorms with high winds yet these plants have continued to do what they do best and thrive. Plants have been given another round of Jobes organic granular feed with a 2-5-3 composition on NPK, and have started to restore their dark green color in new bud sites. I have been giving them heavy water due to the intense heat of 90-100 degrees, sometimes twice a day of around 3-5 gallons each watering which could result in slight flushing and more frequent feedings. I will have to wait and see, and watch how the ladies respond

Plants made it through the hurricane that came up the east coast and have been looking great! Trichomes are starting to show up left and right while the buds get bigger each day. The smell on the blueberry and mother of Berry is very fruity, while gelato x gmo smells more like diesel. Will most likely give plants another round of Jobes organics to help them through flower

Some of the leaves have been starting to yellow indicating that the plants are now needing a little more feed and are getting towards the end of their life cycle! The smell of the gelato x gmo is overwhelming when I first approach the plants, and the blueberry x mother of Berry is a more subtle sweet/fruity smell.

Removed small suckers from bottoms and skirted plants near the base. I also did some defoliating in order to increase potential air flow to bud sites and reduce moisture trapping. The dew has been showing on the plants in the morning and rain has been spotting here and there. I have been trying to keep my eye out for bud rot so I can remove it before it spreads however so far so good. I noticed two of the Blue MOB plants do not seem to be doing as well, and also noticed those two plants have roots growing through the 5 gallon bags. The harvest excitement is really kicking in, it smells better and better every day!

Gelato x GMO had to be chopped due to excess caterpillars, however they do not seem to like munching on the blueberry x mother of berry. I did perform a washing technique for the first time on the gelato x gmo that was recommended by a friend, it included a dip in warm water with lemon juice and baking soda in small quantities to help remove and break down the potential contaminants left behind, followed by a dip in cool water to wash away any remaining material. The trichomes on gelato x gmo did appear milky at about day 50 and I will post an update with results once finished. One Blueberry x Mother of Berry plant grew roots through the bag and into the ground, which has now caused problems for that plant whether it be from potentially harmful predators to the roots or poor soil below ground. I will allow the blueberry x mother of Berry plants to continue to grow to the end of their flowering cycle which I expect to be a few more weeks.

Buds have been getting bigger every day and the smell is overwhelming at this point! I have had to keep up with the daily inspections to prevent bud rot and caterpillar damage however they do not seem to like the Blue MOBs as much as the gelato x gmo. I would expect the plants to be done within the next week or two, and plan to take them to the end as long as conditions stay ideal! The jewlers loop will be used to inspect trichomes the next few days

This plant was an overall joy! I did not expect to grow this strain however after coming across a seed in a bag I had bought from a friend I figured why not throw it in with the rest of them. After being a month or two behind the Blue MOBs the plant showed explosive growth and managed to catch up in height however it did not have the time in veg like the other plants to develop plant structure and more bud sites. The smoke itself upon first try it definitely sweet and creamy, and after washing it it is surprisingly smooth! The high I received from smoking was a little more on the heady/energetic side as I did have to harvest a bit early…and I believe if it got to go to the 60-65 day range with would be a power hitter!!

This strain has honestly been amazing growing outdoors. Very resilient, amazing trichomes production and bud structure, have had to perform daily inspections to prevent bud rotting and mold spreading however with such a rainy season I will look at this year as an overall success. One more week to go in order to maximize yield and trichomes production

Decided to harvest other plants and let my one big 15 gallon Blue MOB go another week or two to fully fill out. The others were beginning to show signs or bud rot however the 15 gallon has not at all yet which is why I’ve let it go the extra time. Will update with harvest pictures once all are cut down!
