All seeds germinated successfully and I was able to put them into their pots within a few days. This is my first time growing indoors, so I did adjust my settings multiple times throughout the course of the grow.
Plants showing pretty rapid growth besides Dr. Grinspoon, however grinspoon was also germinated a few days after the other four plants. Black Cherry Pound Cake by 42 and Peach Maraschino by Lovin’ In Her Eyes look like good candidates for topping, which will take place next week.
Larry OG Autos started to show pistils and emit nice aroma. Topped both Black Cherry Pound Cake and Peach Maraschino, plants bounced back within two days. As plants increase in size I have been increasing the water intake based on the plant visual and touch feel of soil
Dr. Grinspoon is catching up quickly. All plants look like they can be flipped into flower soon with strong plant structure developed and nice topped canopy.
I rotated plants around multiple times to get the fit that I like between them. Peach Maraschino and one Larry OG did get overwatered at one point so I tried to get them optimum light coverage to help soak up the excess water. After about three days they bounced back and I did reduce the amount of water intake to listen to what they required. Each plant showed explosive growth from day to day and I tried to take pictures to show overall coverage. Overall most growth in single plant was Dr. Grinspoon, it has already stretched 2-3x its size before getting 12-12 light within the first week!!
Dr Grinspoon developed tiny calyxs with long white hairs and continues to show rapid growth, almost three feet tall now. Peach Maraschino has started to develop small buds and calyxs by the end of the week. Larry OGs have developed pretty nice sized buds with larger frosty calyxs under them. Black Cherry Pound Cake has developed nice white pistols but has yet to show buds.
Larry OG(1) and Black Cherry Pound Cake got some defoliation in order to open up plant and provide light to lower buds. All other plants seem to be okay so I have not had to alter them
Had to raise the light slightly since Dr. Grinspoon grew to touch the surface. Plants have been drinking water rapidly so I have been watering almost every day now. With increased water and frequent wet soil the humidity has spiked at certain period which led me to add a small pint sized dehumidifier in order to reduce moisture in the air and prevent problems during flowering.
Larry OG started to have a very pleasant grape candy smell, peach maraschino also smell very sweet and candy like. Black Cherry Pound Cake has a slight gas smell too it which I look forward to! Dr. Grinspoon has yet to produce any overwhelming odor, the smell test I have received from the leaves defoliated and from touching the plant stalk resembles a nice spice and floral aroma. The strong heat days raise humidity from high 40’s to mid 50’s, the pint sized dehumidifier seems to work perfectly for my 3x3 tent by keeping it within that range and avoiding big fluctuations. By the end of the week both the Larry OGs and Black Cherry Pound Cake showed first signs of a nice purple fade despite warmer conditions. Larry OG (2) auto flower is showing signs of calcium and magnesium deficiency. I suspect the 2 auto flowers should be getting ready for harvest within the next few weeks, they started the flowering cycle before the photoperiod plants so I will be breaking out the jewelers loop to start checking out trichome heads
Smell of Larry OG is strong and emits a sweet grape candy like odor, Peach Maraschino buds are swelling quickly, creating dense buds that are frosted out. Dr Grinspoon has been starting to show first signs of trichome production as the bracts are swelling and starting to show through the pistils. Black Cherry Pound Cake smells a bit more like diesel/gas with a hint of sweet. I did jump ahead in the weeks as the autoflowers are progressing faster and did start flowering prior to me switching the light schedule. The 3 photoperiod plants are currently in the range of days 40-50 where the auto flowers are approaching days 50-60
Have been looking at trichomes through microscope every day now to determine when to harvest. Larry OG autoflowers will be done any day, the three photoperiod plants will still need some more time. Peach Maraschino seems to be right in line with the harvest window of 56-63 days. Black Cherry Pound Cake seems like it may take some more time due to the amount of white pistils remaining and clear trichomes. Dr Grinspoon still has quite some time to go as it is expected to have a 12-14 week flowering time

Week 12. Harvest

Happy Harvest Day!
Sherbinski Larry OG Autoflower - Custom Breeder & Strain
Very easy plant to grow overall, did not expect a huge yield as I tried to keep the plants on the small side. Larry OG (1) has more of a grape candy smell while Larry OG (2) has way more of a diesel smell
The bud structure on this plant is amazing, the buds developed to create nice tight golf ball sized nugs which are coated in trichomes. The smell inside of the jar has a little musk behind it, followed by the sweet smell of candy peaches which is also reflected in the taste.
Just got the Black Cherry Pound Cake trimmed up and wow was she sticky!! I ended up with a nice ball of scissor hash from having to constantly remove it every few buds or so. This strain has an incredibly powerful odor to it, very skunky with small notes of chocolate, coffee, and earth. The smoke on this one is very smooth, the buds ash white, and it does burn nice and slow so a few hits are possible on each bowl
Dr Grinspoon all alone! The top cola on Grinspoon has swollen to be massive, I try to open the cola up by gently pulling the buds away from the stem. I do this each time I visit the tent in order to get better air flow and help prevent bud rot, which so far seems to work. The smell on this plant is incredible, it reeks of lemon and pine, and a floral note that is more subtle
This plant was a lot of fun to grow and a good learning experience as it is a very long flowering sativa! I ended up harvesting at day 85, the trichomes appeared to be milky and no longer clear, and I would personally prefer to have this strain harvested before I saw any amber as I wanted to keep the effect uplifting and energetic. The effect of this strain is amazing, not so much overwhelming at first however as the minutes pass by I notice the effects coming on more and more. It provides a very cerebral high without any body effect really, and has me often lost in thought. Very good smoke for a movie night, or introverted thinking! The taste of this strain resembles the smell, which is of lemon and almost potpourri. I would definitely grow this strain again once I run down on my stash of Grinspoon, and would like to top the next plant to provide shorter height with more colas of greater substance! In total I yielded between 7-8 ounces between all 5 plants. The next run is already in progress with some more of the peach maraschino!
