Transplanted into solo cups with some holes punched out (no photos). After the roots had started to poke out, I transplanted into "5" gallon fabric pots. They seemed a bit small for 5 gallons, whatever.
Started running into an issue. At first it looked like a bit of chlorosis, and I had ruled out any Cal Mag issues this early on with the soil. However, it continued to happen to the lower leaves anytime there was new growth up top, which could only mean it was Cal/Mag. Fortunately it was caught early.
At this point I had topped all 4 plants. I noticed the plants were still having some minor cal/mag issues. I doubled up on the c/m dosage at this point. The slow grower is on the bottom right. I added a C02 bag and threw my little money tree buddy in there so he could make some friends.
The plants handled the topping from last week with no problem. I decided to go a little crazy and topped the fast growing plants 6 more times. Just wanted to see what would happen with a lot of tops and a long veg. I left the slow grower (bottom right) with just a single top as a control. I started to add silica and some nitro, along with the double dose of cal mag. I think they will need a good amount of cal/mag for the rest of the grow . My previous grows never needed cal/mag, and I thought it was the most over recommended nute, now my plants NEED it. So far so good though.
The plants look very happy. I leave them alone for the most part. I might veg them for another month. I should probably do a little LST, maybe add a net, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. They're quite thirsty plants and require watering every 3 days or so, or they start to droop. They're also starting to stink a little.
Figured I'd update this old grow. Sickly looking plants. Couldn't figure out what was wrong. Thought it was N toxicity. Flushed, and flushed some more. Didn't work. I didn't discover the problem until my next grow...
Surprisingly, I ended up with some large colas. Bud was airy and harsh, but the high is great. Everyone that tried it fell in love. Hits you almost immediately, very chatty and a nice balance between couch lock and cerebral. The plants remained sick throughout the entire grow. I found out what the problem is, check out my next grow of this strain for the solution
