Hello everyone, my name is Chiara and I am very happy to start my first diary with this Do-Si-Dos from Royal Queen Seeds!
Let's start with germination: I prepared a glass of water corrected pH 6 keeping it between 20 ° and 22 °, with Piranha, Tarantula and Carboload of Advanced Nutrients, after a few hours I transferred the seed inside a folded tissue. To transplant I waited for the root to sprout 3/4 mm.
Of course I used the 11L geotextile pot they sent me and added Plagron Light Mix soil.
I made a hole of a couple of centimeters in the center and I inserted the seed keeping the root down, I covered a little with the soil and I always wet with water corrected PH 6 with Piranha, Tarantula and Carboload. The next day you can see already sprout small seedling!
I hope you will enjoy this course and I hope you will hang in there with me until the end.
Here we are at the first week, little Dosi is developing quite well, as you can see she is losing one of the first two leaves and I honestly don't really understand what it is due to, however the leaves are fleshy, elongated and a really deep green.
I prepared 3 L of corrected PH 6.2/6.3 water and added the black tablet of the RQS Easy Combo that they sent me and have been watering all week with this water.
We will see how it goes next but I have a lot of confidence for this little one.
Finished the second week and I must say that the problem that I encountered last time, we have overcome it great, the black tablet of RQS gave a good boost.
For now it seems really improved and the changes can be seen overnight, the growth is now very fast and who can stop it!
I added 40g of RQS Easy Boost to the soil, this also arrived along with everything else, I decided to put it in later to have it almost at the surface so that with the water it flows to the bottom. I also tucked in Plagron's Light Mix soil, filling it up to the level of the pots and allowing the roots to develop and anchor to the soil better.
Finally I watered everything with PH 6.3 corrected water.
So far I'm happy with my baby Dosi and can't wait for it to grow properly!
Completed the third week for my baby Dosi, the growth is really scary, the leaves are fleshy, strong and very bright despite their strong color.
Nutritionally it's not having problems thanks to the last addition made, in fact for this week I decided (since Easy Boost RQS lasts for 10-12 weeks) to give the water only corrected to PH 6.4. Next time I think I will give something more for the roots to have a good base.
I will not be doing any techniques, I will let the baby Dosi grow apical normally, as I also like to grow in the traditional way without stressing the plant too much.
I wanted to say a few words about the pot I'm using and that they sent me: it's the first time I'm using a fabric pot, I found very convenient the fact of having the handles to be able to move/lift it. What's special about this geotextile fabric pot is that it always has a side air recirculation so no unwanted stagnation can form, keeping the soil moist and hydrated. Also, the RQS graphic is fabulous haha.
I hope it continues to give me so much satisfaction, I will continue to love it. Until next time!
The fourth week is over and I am more and more enthusiastic about this beauty!
I can only say that the plant is growing healthy and with a certain speed, now you can see for sure its indica predominance.
The leaves are really big and fleshy, the side branches make their way through the leaves to get the light and the apical pushes higher and higher.
It's starting to get into the flowering phase and I can't wait to see how it expresses itself and what colors it will pick up.
As nutrients this week I decided to give PH 6.5 corrected water and added Piranha, Tarantula and Carboload from Advanced Nutrients, to make sure I have a good root base, I also remember that there is still Easy Boost RQS in the soil.
Proud of my baby Dosi, hi!
Here we are closing in on week five, we have entered the flowering phase!
As you can see the pre-flowers of each side branch are forming, standing out while the apical is making its predominance felt by getting bigger and standing up.
The color is still a deep green and I'm really curious to see the development of the buds, the plant is very compact and I must say very regular even though I'm not touching/correcting it.
Nutritionally I have not added anything, I have watered with PH 6.5 corrected water as it is not giving me any problems and I am very happy to succeed in this!
I also decided to move the plant to the q100 grow box and changed the light from the Spider Farmer SF-1000 to the Spider Farmer SF-4000.
I am really loving this journey and this baby Dosi!
Week 6 also ends and I am increasingly impressed with this Dosi!
The plant is in full bloom and trying to express itself as much as possible, it's healthy and the pistils are growing day by day and are bright white, beautiful puffy flowers are forming between the nodes.
I like it because it has stayed low and developed perfectly.
The color of the leaves remains dark green, very intense in real life and I don't think it has any problems, in fact nutritionally I've decided to give only pH 6.5 correct water.
I really hope it continues at this pace because I think it will give a lot of satisfaction.
Week 7 went well, the plant is growing very well.
I decided to use the pink tablet of the RQS Easy Combo that they sent me and I have been watering all week with this water.
This Dosi is really crazy, the buds are getting bigger it is practically exploding, luckily I am not experiencing any problems in fact it is starting to express itself with purple spots showing on the buds between the pistils.
I have a monkey in trying this Dosi that you have no idea, I hope you will appreciate the work I am doing.
Competing in week 8 wonderfully, I would like to give my compliments to Royal Queen Seeds for the seeds and nutrients.
The plant is healthy and has a purple coloration that stands out among the bright green leaves and the still white pistils; the buds are getting bigger and the leaves near the buds are getting covered in resin. The smell is still faint but sometimes the air brings a very sweet scent to the nose.
Nutritionally we're doing great but towards the end of the week I decided to add the last pink tablet from the RQS Easy Combo kit and I watered even in the following days as I diluted the tablet in 5 L with PH 6.6.
I'll be starting the wash soon as we will be reaching the end of this journey.
I am getting more and more excited to grow this genetics, I can guarantee that even for beginners it is very easy to grow Do-Si-Dos.
I hope to have you captured and captivated by the beauty of this Do-Si-Dos and that you get involved as well!
And here we are at the end of week 9, now we are nearing the end of this Diary.
As nutrients I haven't added anything and won't be adding anything else for the next few weeks, so I've been watering with PH 6.7 corrected water.
This dose is driving me crazy and the desire to try it is growing more and more!
The colorations it has developed are fabulous, the tops are a purple color that stands out grittily from the green and the pistils are developing from milky white to amber.
The smell is very intense for the room, it has a sweet citrusy taste a perfect scent for summer I would say!
The leaves are starting to lose intensity and color but that doesn't worry me because as mentioned initially we are at the end of life, the buds remain puffy and full of expression!
The more the weeks end the more I can't wait to try and show you the end result. We end week 10 on a high note I would say!
The plant is now at the end and I think I will be taking it out soon.
God I love it! I've run out of words to describe it. Even though it's low, the tops are a great contrast being so swollen and colorful. As mentioned I watered with PH 6.7 corrected water.
I am so proud of the results this Do-Si-Dos gave me, of course RQS never disappoints!
In this journey I have not decided to dare with particular techniques, being my first diary and I wanted to become part of this community growing with a classic method that is not at all trivial as it seems, the tricks are still many for the growth of a good plant.
I will endlessly repeat my pride in this journey and in this plant that has been able to surprise me day after day.
Overall growth has been pretty fast and easy, I hope to improve with time and certainly try some more techniques. I haven't had any major problems, apart from a few damaged leaves, but nothing too worrisome.
I loved doing this diary, seeing day by day how my little Do-Si-Dos changed, I thank Royal Queen Seeds again for sending me this wonder and giving me the opportunity to jump in, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
Sorry for the long wait but these days I've been busy getting my plant to dry well, I hung the plant upside down for a week, checking the humidity, did the first general cleaning and detached the branches from the main trunk and still left everything hanging, finally I did a third more thorough cleaning where I detached all the leaves and divided the various tops from the branches. I placed everything in a jar with an anti-humidity bag and thermometer to keep everything under control.
One of the tastiest varieties I've ever tried! It is sweet and citrusy at the same time, the earthy tones come through in the heaviest pulls, and it is a real treat given its THC potency. These genetics are a real compromise between a relaxing evening but also a happy one and with this I can say one of the best smokes! I would smoke it at all hours ahah
The general expression of this plant reflects all the canons, it fully satisfies me, of course I could do much more but given the experience I am proud. The colors are really fabulous but the photos never do very well, the dark purple color stands out in this gray and both stand out thanks to the orange pistils and the green of the leaves that I must say have not spoiled much, this harmony of colors we find on these wonderful compact buds, lumpy and nice big.
I would like to say a few words about the RQS geotextile fabric pot given to me, I must say that the convenience of the handles at the edges is optimal for moving, something that traditional plastic pots do not have, I have found only two disadvantages, they get a little dirtier and become heavier when you water the soil, as advantages, however, they have an excellent transpiration of air oxygenating the roots very well and they limit the spiralization of the roots.
What more to say, until next time, the monkey is calling!
Looking good and progressing very nicely !! Good luck with the grow !
Please feel free to check out/show love on some of my recent grows (Tropicana cookiez/Venom OG/Banana Mango/Blueberry Muffin )
