ILGM's Big Bud

Kitties_and_Colas Oops 😬 .... i accidentally gave the seedlings a light feeding.. I thought I had water in my spray bottle, and poured a splash on each before realizing it was a nutrient solution 😳... they were definitely harmed a little by this (wilted, drooping, miscolored).. we added a good amount of plain water and have been keeping them under the HID for now... not off to a great start lol..will update later in the week.. 7-18-21: I think they're going to be just fine.. we've been keeping them under our flowering CMH for 10-12hrs a day and back under the LED for the remaining 6-8hrs..we may just keep doing this..our basement is an awful grow environment this time of year...we may bring the veg tent upstairs to share a room with the flowering tent, I just need the ambition lol.. thanks for reading! 😻❤️💡🌱 7/21: they keep stretching, can't say we've had a strain do this before (my early accidental feeding?)..even under CMH they continue the stretch..we moved them to our veg tent which has 3 LEDs, we stuck them right under one of our more red LED, hopefully this helps..other than that they're growing fast and all 3 are uniform in size 🐱.. our goal is to mainline one of these plants, it's going to be interesting and pretty cool to see how they make out with their relativity long main stems (compared to our previous mainlines 😻💡🌱❤️

Kitties_and_Colas 7/26/21: Week 2 and thriving! This seems like a hearty strain, its early but given her size we plan on feeding this week (maybe 5ml/gal of FF grow solution) and/or a top dressing of EWC..all 3 plants are of uniform size (1 may be a tiny bit smaller) and we couldn't be happier with the speed of their growth.. hats off ILGM 👏 🐱❤️ 7/28/21: The girls are a little droopy, a common problem we've had since moving the veg tent to our basement (we'll be moving it out of there soon) the humidity is way too high which isn't letting the media dry out properly 😿 they perpetually look over watered... we're going to start moving them outside for part of the day to get some sun (until me move some lights around) this should straighten them out..ty for reading and happy growing everyone!😺💡🌱 7/29/21: We moved them from our basement veg tent and created a new spot just for these 3 seedlings, we're using an older "600 watt" reflector LED...they were able to dry out fast in their new spot so we fed lightly and they're now praying to the light God 🙏 ❤️

Kitties_and_Colas 8/01/21: 😹Week 3!!! We decided to low-stress train one if the Big Bud plants 🌱 and top/mainline another (at node #2), all 3 plants are being fed lightly this week with FF Grow 5ml/gal and 10ml/gal of the their guano solution...we've gotten very off-lable with how we use the Fox Farm trio but it seems to be working ok..all 3 seem to love their new veg space... thanks for reading, will update midweek! 😽❤️💡🌱 ~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_ 08/04/21: 😼We removed to bottom set from the mainlined plant and we're low stressing the other 2 plants.. our goal is to keep 1 mother from this bunch and start with clones asap 😽

The new growth is coming in a little limey, we insist on reusing Promix so PH is always a bit of a rollercoaster lol.. no sweat, usually a gallon each PH'd to 5.5 with 5ml/gal N solution will get them back to baseline..we seem to have the same issue with most plants grown in our basement during summer, I'm sure the super high humidity and low evaporation rate has something to do with it... if they don't come around after the adjustment, they'll spend some time under the HIDs, this always straightens them out..we topped the mainline for the last time today for 8 mains per side, as well as another full round of toppings on the x2 LST plants... thanks for reading if you made it this far and happy growing everyone!!! ❤️🐱💡🌱 ~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_ 8/22/21 🐱 Quick update, the mainlined plant is showing signs of calcium deficiency which is odd, with our routine we almost never have Calcium or magnesium issues..its really only noticeable under the florescent lights on this one but we'll have to make changes.. they all have plenty of calcium in their media so I'm wondering if the PH has gone screwy in that pot.. we reuse promix which gets really acidic sometimes and we add lime to buffer this but we guess a lot and may not have used enough (or waited long enough)..I know when our media gets around 5-5.5 calcium deficiency is a huge issue..ill add a little more calcium to be sure and will try using water PH'd higher (6.5-7) and see if this helps anything. Kitties_and_Colas ~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_ 8/28/21 😺 We decided to flower these a little earlier than we originally intended to make room for some new strains...I will never mainline a plant this wide again indoors lol, it seemed cool at the time but as you can see it just takes up more space 😑 👎🏻 ...we gave them their first shot of bloom nutrients yesterday (we typically do this 1 week before flower but things came up and we learned we'll need the tent available)...the calcium def spots seemed to have cleared up naturally on the mainline, the other plants are fairly uniform in color (not too dark anymore), and lower growth has been removed...all systems go for flower! 💪😺, I'm hoping for a significant flowering stretch, the new growth after the last mainline topping is approx. 6inches, if this stretches to 12-14inches it should build 8 really good sized colas per side.. thanks for reading! Everyone is looking pretty healthy however the bud development looks closer to week 3/4 imo and I really don't like the node spacing on plant #1, I wish we had limited some of her stretch sooner. I don't see large intact colas in that plant's future, probably long bud spiraled branches but its not the end of the world lol...We gave a tomato cage to the freak mainline for some added stability (she's definitely going to need it). All buds are beginning to frost and look as if they'll be coated by the end!! The girls are starting to get really heavy, we may be forced to cage the rest for support, we couldn't move them much this week for fear of them collapsing..not recognizing or stopping the runaway stretch soon enough has come back to bite us..lesson learned about this strain.. the canopy is terribly uneven lol, we're just kinda letting them do their own thing at this point, we did drop 1 of 2 lights to accommodate the shortest of the group. She's dry after nearly 10 days (we hang in large cardboard boxes for 9 days and then a paper bags to finish) they definitely surprised us, we counted on roughly 6-7oz max and she delivered just over 9! (257g!!)... The smoke is very smooth and the flowers have a fruity, perfume like smell..
