Please enjoy this diary and all the mistakes I make along the way! :)
This is my first real grow. This grow takes place in Arizona, I just moved here and I my grow house started out in the garage.
I did not take pictures for a while, but everything is going well. So far so good. The plants are in a much cooler, easier to control situation now.
I kept a paper log the entire grow. I highly suggest this because... I don't remember what I was typing.
I fought the heat, humidity, lighting and ventilation issues this entire grow. I am pretty new to botany and figuring it out.
This week I relized that I had something good happening with the plants and should pay more attention. I also relized that I should start flowering soon!
Topped them off and straightened up their shape a bit. Looks like we might have a calcium issue :( No problem though, I guess calcium issues are common in DWC W/RO
This is about half way through the bloom cycle. The top leaves are burning and it is not from nutrients.
The plants are too tall and the light is too close. I am going to practice some HST to make room for the lamp. I snapped the 2 or 3 tallest colas on each plant. They grew back stronger than before and loved it.
The plants have issues but they are doing great! The heat, ventilation, light and humidity are all working against me. I added an AC vent this week, more calmag, reduced light strength and raised the light as high as I could.
I also started testing for ppm's this week and began using a ph pen instead of strips.
My ph was way off while using strips.
All of the white hairs are orange / brown, the crystals are sticky and smell like citrus.
I asked on the forum what others thought about if it is time to harvest. A couple of others reached out and said they looked ready. After close consideration and deliberation I have decided to harvest. Hopefully it is not to soon :/
