What a week! It's been full of anxiety due to this being a first-time grow. I've gotta say, I've spent so much time checking in on them and reading up on stuff, and while that is good, I've taken a more relaxed stance to it for the past couple of days, and it's been better. Overthinking doesn't help, and just going with the flow and adjusting is definitely something I recommend. If you're a first-time grower, that can be very hard, since you want the best for your girls. But anyway, after just relaxing and letting them do their thing, it's been going better! They're growing bigger every day and it's so joyful. Like many other growers, this is a great feeling, do have this organism inside a seed just grow due to the tender loving care and time you put into it. It's awesome!
NEW POTS AND GENERAL SETUP INFO:
I transplanted to the 5gal fabric pots after about 5 days. They really needed it and they were initially stunted with no signs of growth for a day, but then just started growing like... weed! Hah!
The soil I used is FoxFarms Coco Loco Mix. This isn't a pure coco coir mix, but a soil/coco coir and perlite mix. I added a little bit of Epsom salts to it as I've read that's very good for plants.
I'm keeping my lights on about 80% intensity at the moment and they're about 26-28" away from the canopy.
Grow tent runs at about 78-84 degrees Fahrenheit during the day. I know this is too high, but adding fans doesn't seem to lower it and the plants don't seem to mind! Humidity is about 60-65% due to my humidifier. I turn that off at night to lower humidity and prevent mold issues.
THE PLANTS:
The 2x Lemon Shining Silver Haze are doing great. They're growing pretty much at the same rate and it's great to see! They're a little light of color - I wondered a lot about that - but I don't think it's an issue.
1x of the ICE are also doing great. The leaves have holes and tears in them for some unknown reason but again, it's growing and seems happy so I'll take it!
The remaining 1x ICE in the small red cup.. oh man, where to begin. This thing is looking weird and that's an understatement. I can't for the life of me figure out what the issue is, hence why I didn't transplant it and waste my soil. I just let it live in the middle of the plants to see if it'll grow any true leaves - but so far it's cotyledons only. I don't have a lot of hope for it, and that really sucks because this means I only am gonna grow 3x plants during this growth. The positive side is that there's gonna be more space and I can get a higher yield out of the remaining plants - so I guess it's all good.
Thanks for reading, and as always feel free to send tips, growth energy and regards this way! Thank you!
