Using the following: - forced CO2 with solenoid, flow control and perforated hose - .5 cu/ft - 1 minute on / 10 minutes off - average 1500 PPM - humidifier on low setting maintaining low 50% range - ventilation kit - maintain low 80's during 'day' - runs on med-low fan pretty much all day - Small fan to circulate air and strengthen stems - Oxygenating water with oxygen tank and diffusion stone after nutrient mixing Moved to 1 gallon pots toward end of week.

- forced CO2 - de-humidifier (not working well) - Carbon filter ventilation - Small fan - Updated nutrient mix for more aggressive vegetation - Oxygenated water Plants are growing well since topping. Adjusted nutrients based on growth. Halfway through week, trimmed lower branches and fan leaves... going slow since this is my first time... much more trimming to come if everything goes well Began tying back some offshoots to spread outwards...

--- Grow room really starting to smell despite the carbon filter --- - forced CO2 - increased PPM - de-humidifier (abandoned in favor of increased heat and ventilation) - hard to keep down without good dehumidifier - Carbon filter ventilation - Small fan - Opened additional fresh air port - Switched to rapid vegetative growth nutrient mix - Oxygenated water - Transferred to larger 5 gallon fabric pots ---Late week notes--- - Moved the 2 weakest plants outdoors to make room for the others :-( - Transferred all plants to final 5 gallon size cloth pots - Lots of pruning - Tied some large branches to force some lateral growth and to optimize light access - Topped largest plant to reduce upward growth... trying to sync heights as much as possible for scrOGing

Had to move 2 plants outside due to space issues in tent (I'm a rookie ;-) - going to track them here with special comments --- Environment Notes --- - forced CO2 - heat and carbon filter ventilation - Small fan - Oxygenated water

Plants are growing like weeds now ;-) Smell is very strong -Had to raise the lights to nearly max level -Added a screen and tried to spread the branches out more evenly -Removed heat -Added dehumidifier -CO2 ran out but levels are pretty good - will get more later this week Outdoor plats are getting really big... letting them do whatever they want for now but giving them nutrients periodically... may need to find a new space and even transplant them to larger containers

INDOOR --------- - Significant defoliation of lower fan leaves for airflow and light penetration - Moved filter fan outside of tent to make more room for lights - Raised lights to top... I'm out of space :- - Added room dehumidifier in closet to try to reduce more humidity - small impact in tent but the unit is too big for the tent and the small units are useless - CO2 levels are naturally pretty high right now - AC issues in the house :-( - PH of runoff dropped more than I realized... adding base to solution and trying to get it back up to 6.5 OUTDOOR ------------ - Moved behind other large plants for discretion - Recent heat wave took a bit of a toll and dehydrated them a bit... droopy leaves - Watering daily now to keep them healthy - First signs of early bud activity?

- Budding seems to have slowed a bit because I encountered a magnesium deficiency. - The PH was fine in solution but the runoff was 5.3. - I flushed with nutrient adjusted to 7.0 but it does not appear to have helped. - Completed a balanced water flush and added a fresh and balanced nutrient solution - hope things get back on track

INDOORS: Been coping with a nutrient deficiency for a couple of weeks now. I think it's actually a nitrogen deficiency not magnesium at this point. It was probably caused by a the soil having a lower PH than I realized. Live and learn. I've corrected the PH and the the nutrient balance but the damage is done. I think it's all going to be fine but it may have an impact on yield and time to harvest but hopefully not quality now that the problem is being addressed. OUTDOORS: The plants I had moved outdoors several weeks ago are thriving. The summer is slowly fading away here and they have naturally begun to bud now. Looking very healthy so far.

Starting to recover from PH issues that caused nutrient deficiencies. It looks like the ladies are starting to rebound a bit now. I'm watering less frequently and paying special attention to the nutrient solution PH now. Also starting to get humidity under control again.

Outdoor plants are a big success. Indoor plants are improving but slowly. The PH and nutrient issues really set the indoor plants back, though they will still have a moderate yield. Looking forward to harvest and starting grow #2 with all that I've learned. Indoor temps are 76 during the day and 68 at night Outdoor temps are now mid-70's to mid-80's during the day and in the mid-50's at night - pistils are popping pink!

Well, I really messed up my indoor crop. It's still viable but yields will be low and leaves are damaged. Buds are sticky and look pretty decent, though. Anyway, I'm shifting my focus for this diary on the outdoor plants that are killing it. My next diary will be one strain at a time in one set of conditions. Started pretty ambitiously ;-) Outdoor plants are really thriving with minimal intervention. I did top them early on so they have many main stems and a lot of dominant colas. Other than that, I've pretty much just fed them nutrients once or twice a week and water in between. Timing is perfect since fall is bringing the changes that are promoting flowering very naturally. The beds are getting super dense and wide. Loving it. The sun is a powerful tool :-)

Getting closer now. Fan leaves are turning a bit yellow and the buds are really fleshing out now. Trichomes are mostly milky now, too. Hoping to get another week or two to flesh out more most before harvest but will be watching the trichomes carefully. Can wait to harvest this batch!

Any experienced growers out there have an opinion on how much longer I should wait before harvesting? These are in the Boston area and light decreases daily along with the temps. Only 4 - 5 hours of direct sunlight now. Trichomes are getting milky.

I usually harvest when I see 100% of the trichomes milky, but some would say to wait until you have 10% amber trichomes. It's all about personal preference. Look at the trichomes on the flowers, not sugar leaves. Good luck

Buds are dense and look more or less ready for harvest. Most trichomes are milky but very few are amber. Should I harvest and remove these bastards? I'm very afraid they will spread to the other plants if I don't. Also, do I need to clean the buds in some way now before drying?

Ola amigo tudo bem?

I neglected this plant outdoors for half the summer and it grew very successfully despite my inattention. Over the last several weeks, I got more involved and it thrived. Beautiful pink pistols. On the downside, I had to harvest a couple of weeks early due to a bud worm infestation. I didn't recognize the signs (I do now), so it went on for a couple of weeks at least. I removed the buggers manually and did a thorough bud wash, but it was traumatic. Hopefully, these buds will be okay after drying and curing despite the worms and the early harvest.

Brutal week!!! I found a lot of worms in one of the plants and then discovered the others were beginning to get infested too. I had to harvest the one plant that was particularly infested and picked off the worms by hand while trimming and then gave a thorough bud wash. I also used BT spray on the remaining plants and tracked down anything I could fine in the buds. I think I have it under control now but I need to give 1 - 2 weeks of additional time to mature if I can. Lesson learned. Watch for bugs and worms very carefully.

This thing grew really, really well outside this summer with minimal effort. Caterpillars went to work on it a bit but I stopped it before it got out of control. Will update with weights and pictures after drying.
