Hello. When I was younger I tried this same thing, but the tomato's always took longer to ripen than the buds took to mature. So I quite growing tomato's indoors. I hope yours do better than mine. Chuck.
@slackerer,Yeah That's what I found, is to grow them outside. I worked with a Portuguese fellow who said tomato's love bone meal for the extra calcium. You might want to try that as well as a good tomato fertilizer 20/20/20. Good Luck. Chuck.
@Chucky324, not having good luck at all with it, I've had it in the bucket for almost 3 months now and still no flowers or fruits, but it was just a test, i figured i had everything going anyways and an extra bucket, and the guys at the local grow shop had cherry tomatoes in a 4 banger and they were doing insanely well which is what made me wanna try it but I think I'll stick to soil for my veggies
