This is a diary for a plant i started in a small cabinet grow.
I thought she was going to die after my cat decided to sit on it and wasn't satisfied with my tracking so i deleted my log.
However, she recovered incredibly well and is now going strong!
at this point several of the main branches were broken and i expected them to fall off completely.
I moved her to my growtent with proper top-down lighting and started LST while i'm at it
i think she's experiencing some light stress so i've elevated the lights.
humidity is way too high but getting a dehumidifier isn't an option, unfortunately.
Any advice on how to make lemonade from lemons is welcome!
Clear trichomes popping up very quickly, no signs of mols so fingers crossed. running my fan hard enough to refresh the air in the area several times per minute with another small one circulating air over the canopy.
my RQS Quick one seems to be a bit stressed so i'll def. avoid mixing vegging and flowering plants in the future
outside temps are currently quite high so I hope she won't mind too much
So what I see is too much nitrogen in flowering. The very lower leaves will turn yellow and start falling off slowly is what I found to be best in flowering. So it is getting some but still using some from plant. Why because nitrogen can hinder bud development. The tips burned is the plant wanting more potassium. As long as they are burned straight. If burned up and going in like a curl it is nutrition burn. Your flowering nutrition ratio for npk is 1-2-3. That was really all I seen. Loosing lower leaves is ok. I cut the bottom side out a lot of times to remove airy bud sites. Good luck and hopefully I helped. Happy growing.
Leaves are starting to lose color quite quickly.
no amber trichomes to be found yet so i'm growing a little impatient. I guess her rough start explains why she's still a little behind for 12 weeks?
No signs of rot yet despite high humidity (over 70% at night but extractor fan is running at full speed)
Can i have a little estimate on how long she still has to go? taking pictures of trichomes is quite hard, sorry.
I'm still giving normal bloom nutes but i'm guessing i should start flushing soon despite using only organic products?
and finally, are my buds looking a little small?
I’d say two weeks. Maybe three depending on her trichomes. Make sure when you check them you are looking at the buds and not the sugar leaves. Those always go amber sooner. Most of the plants bulking happens in the last few weeks.
As far as flushing- I like to do it. Organics or not. No sense in wasting nutrients when those last 10-14 days.
Give her another week/week and a half and then just give her ph’ed water 🌱
