germination went well, used the paper towel method; i plan on throwing these seedlings right into the direct light and see which ones can handle it. running fox farms ocean forest for one each of the GTH and Pineapple Expresses and the other two in Happy Frog
this is day 10, one of the pineapple express seedlings is lagging, if it stays like this itll be getting replaced soon enough. the other three seem to be soaking up the 30,000 lux pretty well. theyre all in my own mix of bat guano, earthworm castings, blood and bone meal, and beneficial bacteria along with the mediums.
Day 20 in the books and i’v seen some explosive growth in 3 of my girls, ended up pulling the lagging pineapple express seedling and replacing it with a blue dream seedling and white runtz seedling, lets see how they fair. no nutrients yet, just well water and unsulfured molasses mized with azos bacteria powder. will begin adding 5ml of veg and micro nutes starting this week.
Day 22 in the books, topped all of them yesterday evening; transplanted day 23 with my nutrient mix and fox farms ocean forest or happy frog. feeding with water molasses and azos bacteria the rest of the week as they get used to the heavily fertilized soil.
day 26, decided to LST after some vigorous growth over a two day period of 24/0, i think i will start adding 1-2 days a week of 24 hour light because it undoubtedly increased growth rate but in the interest of soil health i will keep it the majority on 20-4 on off schedule. did a little bit of defoliating to get the fan leaves out of the way so i could work.
3 days post mainlining and they are looking really lush today. switching to 18-6 light schedule as now i want them to start stretching a bit more at night. their main stem is very thick for their size, really happy with their progress thus far.
day 30, explosive growth today, i readjusted the lst to bring it wider, once it reaches the edge of the pot on all sides i will train upwards
day 33, i defoliated all three up to the top nodes, and took off their anchors, time for them to climb
these three are looking super lush, i added a kelp foliar spray last week so we shall see if that speeds growth. so far the grow has been smooth as butter fingers crossed
all the plants are looking gorgeous
i added some amendments to the top of the soil, other than that the veg seems to be going super smooth! i’ll probably give it till the end of week 8 before i flip to let my two smaller plants catch up a bit more.
day 45, did a ton of defoliation and tried my hand at high stress training to see how one of my ghost train hazes would respond, will update later in the week.
1 week left until i flip, the blue dream and white runtz are lagging behind but the pineapple express, and ghost train are begging for flower!
day 54, and what a beautiful first grow it has been so far, these girls have responded well to all the punishment i could dish out in training and have responded with a beautiful even canopy. cannot wait to see them flower
day 55, midday, lights are off for the next 36 hours to expedite the flowering process.
half way through the first week of flower and the stretch is in full effect. canopy is going to be completely full in a few days, scared for my dwarf white runtz in the middle of the group, itll get swallowed
day 8 of flower, looking gorgeous, pistils poppin
can’t stop this ghost train, looks like the pineapple express has surprisingly taken the lead in the size category
day 11 the flowers really became apparent today, everything has stretched about 6 inches this week
we are on the first day of week 3 and everything is looking really strong!
day 18 of flower and wow the growth is accelerating so so fast! pineapple express grew 6 inches in the past 2 days. they all seem to be responding really well to the defoliation i did a couple days ago, all the lower buds seem to be catching up in size
Wow the smell! ghost train smells like a citrusy diesel and the pineapple is getting more of an acidic fruity aroma. they are finally starting to put on some size closing in on the end of week 4 flower, next week i will step up the nutes. I defoliared the bottom 50% of the plant now that it seems to have finished stretching, and removed any big fan leaves blocking the better bud sites. i couldn’t ask for a better first grow so far!
Half way through week 5 and the buds are starting to fatten up, i’m a m so pleased with the length and symmetry of the colas on my plants! feeding nutes every other feeding, don’t want to lock it out on the home stretch!
Pineapple Express looks to be coming in on the finish line, maybe 2 weeks tops on left on it.
The ghost Train haze i the back of the tent is still throwing out all white pistils and i see bo end in sight for that one, the ghost train at the front of the tent however looks much farther along and may be ready in 2-3 weeks. they are all looking healthy, save for some fade starting to hit some of the leaves. the flowers are dense and sticky, i cannot wait to experience these plants after cure!
Day 56 of flower and the finish line is in sight! Pineapple Express looks to have its fade well under way with the majority of leaves turned completely black and now showing signs of nutrient deficiency as i stop feeding nutrients. i’m going to let what’s left in the soil carry it to the finish line. the ghost train hazes look like they will take a bit longer but are maybe 2 weeks out.
This strain grew tall and lanky, with very compact and beautiful nugs. the frost that came out is quite incredible and the fruity sweet and piney smells coming off the plant are lovely. i would definitely grow this plant again, it was easily trainable and the node spacing allowed light to penetrate deep into the canopy, maximizing my grow surface area
This one took a longggg time to finish, i ended ip harvesting at the end of 11 weeks. the best way to describe the end smell is grape and pinesol, its very aromatic even at 3 weeks post harvest. incredible terpene profile
