Stickanswered grow question 7y Hi there! Well it's not really about the dryness of the stems, but more about the global flexibility and the age of the plant. Doing it early on a very young plant might result in a stress/shock and will need time to recover. Doing it on a healthy plant once she has developed 3 or 4 nodes is the ideal. Doing it tardily on big stems / solid stems might break them (then it's supercropping). Considering you're growing an autoflowering-strain, I'd recommend not to LST her too early, it might affect its growth, I would wait a couple of days so the side-branches can develop and do LST on these. For the main cola, pinching or FIMing gives great results if done correctly. Supercropping is not a good idea for autoflowers. Hope this helps, keep us up-to-date and happy growing!
