Stickanswered grow question 7 years ago Hi there! Well it's not really about the dryness of the stems, but more about the global flexibility and the age of the plant. Doing it early on a very young plant might result in a stress/shock and will need time to recover. Doing it on a healthy plant once she has developed 3 or 4 nodes is the ideal. Doing it tardily on big stems / solid stems might break them (then it's supercropping). Considering you're growing an autoflowering-strain, I'd recommend not to LST her too early, it might affect its growth, I would wait a couple of days so the side-branches can develop and do LST on these. For the main cola, pinching or FIMing gives great results if done correctly. Supercropping is not a good idea for autoflowers. Hope this helps, keep us up-to-date and happy growing!
