Popped 18 Jack 47 XL Auto into a SOG Setup all 18 will be In a 4 x 4 area. Everything outside of the first 3 x 3 space I assume is going to get a slightly smaller yield due to Growers Choice recommending the light for a 3 x 3 space for maximum yields. I have 18 Dark Devil Auto by Sweet Seeds right next to these girls. The room is a 16 x 16. Avoiding the tent this time to have an easier time cooling the room. I will be picking up Botanicare LT 4 x 4 trays to put under the girls so when watering time comes I do not flood the room.
Nothing crazy. Plants grew well. Need to water the containers like every 2 days to keep them from drying out fully. Not watering around the stem as when I do they get a little droopy.
Got a 100 gallon res for watering to help that become easier as it takes like an hour and a half for me to fill 4 gallons of R/O water.
VPD is right around 1.0
1 of the 18 Jack 47 XL Autos was pulled because I guess it was a spider that crushed it and he's dead now but yeah.
These girls are pretty full. After this picture was taken I did some LST to get the upper main stem out of the way of the lower branches. I used Bonsai Copper Wire to lightly bend the plants the way I want them. These girls are responding well to this which you'll see in the picture next week. Unfortunately I did snap one top off one of the girls I man handled her a little to hard and snap. But the lower branches rose nicely to take up the light space but I'm sure yirld.on her will suffer for it. They are just beginning to start pushing white hairs unlike the dark devil which has been pushing Haris for days. Smell is strong.
These girls are very easy to grow and stack well. They smell much stronger then the dark devil. Side branching stretched well enough to become secondary tops with some leaf tucking. These girls are Def going to yield more then the dark devil for the same space.
These girls are just super easy. I base my light distance off leaf temperature and VPD. My VPD is between 1.2 - 1.45. If you do not k ow what VPD is it is Vapor Pressure Deficit. It let's you know how much your plant transpires and later in flower a 1.4 is the ideal zone. To know if your lights are the correct distance from your plants take an IR Temp Gun check the temp of the top leaves these leaves should be around 3 - 4 degrees cooler then the room temperature. There are VPD calculators and plenty of information out there for you to understand what it's all about.
These girls are slamming on the weight. Some def have way more trichome coverage then others and some look like the will have colas as thick as my forearm. I dont know if they truly only have a week left but well see by how trichomes look.
