Pictures are from 8/20. Growing like crazy!
Top fed 8/18 with build a soil blends and watered. Topped the next day. Seems to not have cared so far. She was growing so well I wanted to test topping autos for myself.
Still inside until I see pre flower. 4
Took off the lst since we are now outside. Top site looks good. Grew sooo much since last week. Watered once the leaves droop a little.
Watered today and moved completely to shade for a few hours (90 out).
I don't think this is an auto. Still no signs of pre flower. My area should start to flower outside within the next week r two I believe. I might force flower this next week for fun If no sign of flowering.
Topped 2 more times before preflower started. Probably not the beat idea bc recovery will slow flowering that just started (few spots of the plants I can see white hairs).
Just watering when dry.
Plant shot up in height!
Snapped the 1 of 2 main top stems so I quickly taped it and wrapped some string around it.
I can only think, God I hope this thing finishes before the frost. The flowering took too long to start once I put it outside (to be fair I purchased auto flower seeds which this is not). This girl is getting so big I hope I can keep the bud rot away.
Rather dreary week with sprinkles of nice sunny weather. Super windy, thought the girl was going to get torn from the ground.
Top fed 8/8. Water every other day. Drinks soooo fast its so cool to see.
This gal drinks sooo much water it's crazy. Heavy rains and I still seem to be watering every 2 or so days. So much different than the small auto, it's almost comical.
Colder weather is here at night but should be heating up next week. Decent clear days this past week with overnight storms. Most likely only water when dry from now on.
The top stem break is kind of healed but I should have done a better tape job. Shortly after the snap, we had crazy winds which didn't help.
Did last bit if defoliation yesterday. Watering when dry only. A lot of rain over the last few days but seems to have slowed down.
Did some defoliation yesterday for the last time. I'll definitely need to support the top 2 colas so they don't snap the stem anymore than I already have.
Smell is starting to pick up with some more trichs appearing. Harvest guess is late October.
This week was so windy I was afraid the split would get worse so I reused this pvc that I hung my seedling light from for a makeshift scrog net. Those top 2 buds hopefully won't go anywhere now.
Week was a mix of cloudy, windy and cold weather.
Watering every 2 days still until harvest which I hope will be end of October at the latest.
Holy bud rot batman. Lost maybe 6-8 inches of the shorter of the 2 tops. I check daily so it appeared very spread overnight in 1 location. Chopped a bit lower to hopefully save some of the top.
Weather was super rainy/cloudy/humid until yesterday and today. Gotta hold out till end of the month. She doesn't look close to ready.
Another week, another bout of bud rot. Plant may be growing, but it's simultaneously getting shorter. Buds are getting bulky but easily 2 or 3 weeks away from ready. Hopefully will have something left to harvest by then. I will not harvest this lady early. Expect to see some snow on her :).
Getting very purple. So much rain the past few days. Forecast is daily rain until November so I might pull this tomorrow.
Smell is great. Not a ton of trichs from what I can see but hopefully she smokes well after a slow dry and long cure.
Still can't believe the color change over the past few days. I almost want to see how purple she'll get if I keep it going.
Going to do a bud wash of water with Dr zymes eliminator on harvest day. Either tomorrow or Sunday.
Day early of week 14. HARVEST DAYYYY. nothing but rain in the forecast and it's getting too cold. I wish I had another week but this'll do. Harvest pics and dry pics to come.
Washed with Dr zymes eliminator. Trimmed off most of the fan leaves. Hanging now to dry a bit before bringing in.
Hard to give it a fair rating because this was a photo seed but I purchased an auto. No real way of knowing what I got since the genetics could be unstable. I reached out to barney's farm to let them know for quality control.
However, this plant was easy to grow. No pests. Minimal powdery mildew. But idid lose a decent amount to bud rot but that's because of my environment. Minor mold (maybe) during drying. I'm not sold it was mold but I tossed a bit anyways.
Lost a bit of smell during drying but came back during the last 5 or 6 days. Curing now in groove bag with 62% humidity pack. It was sitting at 51% without it.
No smoke report. Won't touch it for 4 weeks minimal. I did use just under 10g for some oil. Smell is amazing.
Nose during grow was citrus that turned more floral during the last few weeks. Almost lavender like. The smell after a few days of curing is familiar but can't pin point it exactly. More earthy and floral Smell. Looks good.
Only regret is living in a place that didn't allow me to let this girl grow to her best. Buds could have stacked and fattened up a little but rain and cold were becoming too much.
2oz from a plant that should have been an auto... I'm happy.
