The seed were in the soil after the paper towel germination on the 14th of July and on the 15th they were out of the soil saying hi to the Mars 100w lights. I think the heat speed up the process. Just hope the heat won't cause them stress later on.
The heat wave affected but lightly the plants. Small signs but their development is incredible fast (at least for me from previous grows). Despite smaller they seem to have a healthier green than their brothers in Coco Coir.
The growth is at a strong pace. Each day the plants grow like I have never seen. These Coco coir plants are a tiny bit smaller than their Coco coir brothers but they have a healthier green color.
Missed a day of watering and the plants suffered instantly. The tremendous heat didn't helped as well. Despite this hiccup the plants look healthy and their buds seem to be growing faster than their Soil sisters.
After last week stressing these girls with no water some pruning was necessary with the dead leaves. These Coco mix brothers are doing fine. Normal little yellowing in the lower leaves. Their buds are similar size as much as the plant itself. However they are 25cm shorter than their sister in normal Soil.
There was some spider mites attack but observed and treated in time, i hope :)
I think the plants stop growing in size now but the surprise for this week was the, more than expected, yellowing of the lower leafs. Both plants suffered a bit of a loss of foliage. Not sure what might caused this. Started trying lowering the Ph of the water to 6.0-6.5 and in the last day didn't add any nutrients. If anyone has a better opinion please tell me.
Despite the pointing up of the leafs of the Nothern Light there wasn't much to it. The temperature got cooler so that should estabilize. Both plants look ok, some normal loss of leafs. Will maintain just watering with ph water.
Got some mold on the top bud. I was really frustrated when I found out but gladly it was just the really top. Still unfortunate thought. Always leave your fan working!
