Well, it was a rough start after realizing the "organic" soil I got was basically "Mulch". After getting it into a better pot and soil, it seemed to look better.
no pictures for a few weeks and now she is in Full Veg Mode. Just started the nutrients. I had a small issue figuring out the feeding and water schedules and the result was some droopy leaves (over watered).
Also had a pest problem. I let the soil dry out as much as I could and then I added Neem Oil to my water and set a sticky trap. At first it appeared to work, then I still saw a few flying around. Next, I removed the top 2 inches of soil and replaced it with fresh soil and more need oil. I also put some peroxide in my drain pan and I never saw another one after that.
Today I learned that I should prepare my soil BEFORE I put my seedling in there to ensure it will not have "pests". I see other mentioned specific soils while others were just treating the soil before they started their crops. I still have much to learn.
Flipped over to flowering mode and everything appears to be going in the right direction. Setup a makeshift SCROG net with hemp twine to keep the flowers in their own section to allow better airflow.
Everything is starting to look good and even, well except for the big one in the back. I had to raise the light and tie the taller ones to the side of the tent. The flowers are flowering and not an insect in sight. The temp in the outer room is too high at 75 making the tent reach 80 during the day. I cannot control the temps during the middle of the summer heatwave.
Wheee- doggie! She is looking great now. Some leaves were the size of a paper plate. Also, I am learning that there is a difference between watering and feeding. Thanks internet!
Big Bud Good! I am over the moon with how this grow is shaping up. For my first grow, this is going quite well. I also chose this strain because it was supposed the be an easy one for beginners. I guess they were right! Look at that thing!
I am still following the General Hydroponics feeding schedule and she is looking great. Slight discoloration in the leaves tips may be due to PH imbalance. I seem to have lost my PH strips :(
There was more growth and more discoloration in the leaf tips. Some lower leaves are getting lighter in color. The smell is amazing! it smells like christmas to me.
I started checking the trichomes colors and the big bud in the back was looking WAY more mature than all of the lower ones. After deciding (flipping a coin) I cut it and wet trimmed it. I put a C Battery in the photo for scale.
I made hash just from cleaning up my tools after trimming. Also, made more hash from all of the lower buds and clippings.
Also made some rosin with this after 2 weeks of drying (9 days in the tent and the rest in a jar). The Rosin produced was really tasty with what I would call a "hint" of popcorn flavor. The flowers did not have that flavor at all and they were more fruity. Almost tastes like "Cherry Pie"
(also known as Girl Scout Cookies)..
Finally, I don't own scales or ever intend to, so I am just guessing at the weight
