After a wee break and a slight downsize, I'm back for a new run :D These are Sweet Seeds Autos, Red Poison and Sweet Cheese XL Seeds went onto moist kitchen roll between two plates early am on 27/07, tap roots pipped through today, so into the soil they went - before I remembered to take a photo! The taproots were only about 5mm long at this point but I like to plant them asap. Using biobizz light mix in 7 gallon square pots, straight out of the bag with no presoak(v important). Moistened the area where the seeds were planted and I'm using humidity domes only until the seedlings surface. I missed this :')

Sweet Cheesy Twins! That's a first for me. I carefully replanted the smaller twin to the side on day 3, mostly as an experiment to see what it would do, but I'll probably remove it. I might even restart the cheese grow with another seed if the bigger twin doesn't pick up, but we'll see how it's doing in a week or two. Last grow my weirdest seedling yielded the most, so worth giving them a good chance :). Not too bothered if I do need to germinate another sweet cheese seed as I'd already purposely chosen plants that finished at different times to stagger harvests(and time spent in trim jail), so at least the longer running plant was the one to go awry. And the red poison's looking awesome for 7 days out of the soil, lots of side shoots are already incoming.

It's been quite hot this week. Seeing some really fast growth with the Red Poison, to the point where it looks almost a bit stretch marked, but also wondering the heat is causing issues(tho not apparently slowing it down otherwise). If so, at least it's not bothering the Sweet Cheeses. Since they're looking happy I decided to keep both twins, and in the same pot, to see what happens :). I've got seeds to grow the strains again, to compare later. I'm def gonna start some LST this week, being careful cause the branch nodes are quite close together on these(last time a plant topped itself!), the cheese twins can be trained to grow away from eachother.

Started some LST on Monday, and now we have bushes! Still a little bit concerned about the Red Poison as her leaves have been a bit janky from the start, but it hasn't slowed down her growth - she's showing pistils too - so I'll see how she goes into flower. The twins are doing grand, hope they have enough spa. Bring on the stretch

The Red Poison plant is making a mad stretch and preflowers are coming in. She's still got that twisty leaf growth going on - but she's growing so fast! I never figured out what was up with her, but I am 90% sure it's not environmental. She has the same soil and everything as the Sweet Cheeses, which are doing splendidly. I don't think it's a virus, either, as it seems too "healthy" otherwise. I think the issue did start from seed, though - possibly some damage to the DNA causing the deformities. I'm assuming all her other processes are working properly given her growth rate, so I'm still gonna go ahead and flower her to see if the flowers are janky too. :) There are a few remaining Red Poison seeds to try in the future too, so why not. The Sweet Cheese twins are happily coexisting in a 7gallon pot, though I do kinda wish I'd moved the smaller twin into one of my old 3 gallon pots back at the start. Just to have more room to get in there and train them. Otherwise, they're lovely healthy plants, taking their time to veg out for a bit longer before they stretch and flower. Hoping to see them live up to the "XL" in the name. I'm also waiting on another fan to arrive since one of mine died. Definitely reminded me why I check the tent 2x a day at least(usually more if we're being honest ;) ) because the motor was actively burning out when I found it - as in, it was too hot to touch the motor casing. Please be careful with your electronics, everyone. Nobody wants a garden fire.

Stretched like mad this week(compare the plants to that tower fan, I've been raising the lights too), with a ton o flowers coming in. I think I'll be glad I stuck with the Red Poison, despite her overall jank. The Sweet Cheeses are chugging along nicely, starting to properly flower. Both probably need a little tidy up and a little pruning of lower bud sites that aren't going to do much. I've also started feeding 'em a little mix of veg/flower nutes.

My lovely bushes :) I'm pretty happy with how everything's going so far. Red Poison's doing better than I thought she would be, given the issues. I'm feeding them every other watering, losing a few lower leaves but tops are filling out nicely. The smell coming from the red poison is friggin delicious.

Everything's chugging along nicely. The Red Poison's going super fast, she'll probably be done weeks before the cheese twins. Cheese twins are only starting to pack on some weight, after growing some nice tall colas, and they stink! . Roll on week 8

The Sweet Cheese XL is living up to her name, twins taking their time to stack up nice and high. I did a little defoliation in her under branches to get rid of the naff fluff buds, so she can concentrate on the tops. The Red Poison is progressing much faster, oldest pistils have turned orange, and she's bulking up. Feeding every other water. The delicious berry smell coming off the red poison is going to be hard to resist while she finishes up, I tell you wHat.

It's been a very colour changy week. The Red Poison's getting really close now, trichomes getting milkier by the day, even spotted some amber. I might chop before the next diary day, might not. The Sweet Cheese twins are starting to fade a little as their flowers bulk up. Might have fried their bottom leaves a little when they got a bit under watered and wilted some. They're so darn thirsty. The twin's differences are really started to show, as well. One of them might even be a clone of the mother plant :) Cannabis twins are weird.

The Red Poison is drying! Will update with a harvest page when I get a dry weight, before cure. The twins are rapidly going through the motions now, 1-2 weeks left on these, giving water only as a response to the fade. When I do chop I might leave the lower budsites to fatten up a bit while there's room. :) Got an Auto Banana Blaze bean germing for the next run already.

A really fun grow :D The one plant I've grown so far showed some weird issues from seed, crinkly weird leaves/deformities, but it grew vigorously despite this and the flowers came out decently, with deep purple pheno! The smell is amazing, very fruity, and somewhat peppery. I've only tried the product post-drying, as it's yet to cure, but it's already very nice quality smoke; sweet tasting, very heady at first before moving into a strong but nicely balanced effect for both head/body. Probably better for the evenings :)

Man, I'm really pleased :) Dry weight was 110g, after removal from branches, plus about 15g in popcorn bud/trim. Admittedly, I actually have no idea what the wet weight was(I swear diaries used to ask for a dry weight?), so I guestimated an approx 70% weight loss during drying. The grow was fun, tried out some bigger pots this time around, and going by how deep the roots delved and how big the plant got in such a short amount of time, I'm keeping those! I lucked out on a very deep purple expression, and despite leaf issues throughout the vegetative stage of the run, she got big and produced some perfectly cromulent flower. I can't get over how nice it smells, even before cure. It's really hard to take a photo that does the real colours justice, especially with all those resin glands messing with the light, but an attempt was made. Overall, I definitely recommend this strain! I've still got 3 beans in my collection to very happily run in the future.

This strain grew very well, with a good yield, and it did a decent job harking back to the early 2000s time of skunk and cheese, but with a modern, more fruity twist for the terpene profile. The I made some very nice bubble hash from the trim off these plants, but the flower is also perfectly pleasant to smoke as is.

Grow went very well in 7g/25l pots, even with a twin seed. Both plants were female with slightly different pheno expressions under the same conditions, grown in the same pot; one plant had a denser bud structure compare to her twin, but the effects from smoking either plant were consistent. I recommend the strain for hash making and other resin extraction methods as the flower product is very resinous and the effects are great as a practical, all-rounder smoke for during the daytime. I completely forgot to update this page when I harvested, so I've forgotten precise numbers, but I did pull at least 150g dry from these girls. I have 2 more seeds and I'm very happy to grow the strain again in the future :)

Looks super nice. I’m growing a red poison on my page as well right now, and I’ve noticed some of the same genetic traits you noticed on the leaves in veg. Yours looks bigger than mine tho xD.

@Muntjac, I sure hope so, everyone I’ve seen on this site who’s harvested this strain says the smell is awesome even if they don’t always get the color. Looks like you definitely popped a pretty purple pheno tho

@anonymousSoftwareProduct, Hiya! Thank you for the kind words, and for letting me know about your similar issues. I checked out your grow, and it's interesting because I also saw similar traits popping up for another grower, alongside normal non-twisty leaved red poisons. I wonder if a batch of seeds got overheated or something like that(maybe our plants are very close siblings? Kinda fun to think about it like that, at least :D). Either way, the flowers are coming along rather nicely despite the janky leaves, so I reckon you'll have a really good time with your grow regardless. You'll freaking love the smell they produce.
