Double Skywalkers

Welcome to my new diary! I attempted to grow Skywalker once before but had to abort the grow a few days after germination after being forced to move my entire grow to a new situation. Here goes take two! >> SEEDS << Mephisto - Skywalker Skywalker is a pretty well known and well-liked strain. I've smoked it before but never grown it, so looking forward to it! I have also always had good luck with Mephisto seeds, so fingers crossed that continues. Here's the official blurb: "Our auto Skywalker is mid-sized, good vigour and growing without too much foliage, by employing an easy strategy of leaf tucking, you can encourage her to shoot branches up with little to zero interference to overall growth. Her open structure allows good penetration and therefore increased yields and minimal pop-corn. Internodal length is moderate and she's very manageable. In the flowering stage, she has a very distinctive appearance, Fine leaves emanate from the flowers in an almost spikey fashion and have a tendency to curl upwards, the buds whilst not outrightly singularly large, have an incredible density which later become like mini rocks that hit your tray as you trim them. The flowers are very white in appearance. They are spread evenly and give a nice flower/plant size ratio. Odour control is an absolute must whilst growing this variety and if you travel with the finished product, a minimum of double bagging is recommended." Other details are 65-70 days cycle time, which is rapid! 90/10 Indica/Sativa with a total size of 90cm. Sounds like a pretty short, stocky plant, typical of a heavily Indica dominant strain. I'll be training them for sure. >> EQUIPMENT << I keep things pretty Lo-Fi: 3 Gallon Felt pot Vitalink Calmag Bio-Bizz Light Mix Bio-Bizz Grow Bio-Bizz Bloom Bio-Bizz Alg-A-Mic Fecida CR600 110w LED Rhino Fan and Carbon Filter I grow in a custom insulated grow tent in my back garden. >> GERMINATION TIMELINE << 27/07 - Seeds put in between two cotton pads, soaked in water and kept in between two bowls on a seedling heat mat. 28/07 - Taproots cracked out and placed into the mud after about 24 hours. 30/07 & 31/07 - Skywalker A popped the soil a full 24 hours ahead of Skywalker B, which was a little surprising and worth keeping an eye on as they get bigger.
