Planted seeds directly into coco coir on May 20. All 4 plants (2 mimosa evo and 2 sour lemon OG) sprouted on May 25. No issues with the seed removal, watering with tap water pH 6.5 2x daily until runoff.
Nothing new, just watering when dry approximately every 2-3 days. Dates are June 1-7. 18 hours light, a small fan is blowing on them to keep them moving.
Easy going at this point - just watering when dry every 2-3 days. Plants were beginning to get a bit droopy, however, this was typical of my previous grows during early veg. I think it was because I hadn't added perlite to the coco, so it wasn't draining properly.
This week, June 15-21, the plants began receiving nutrients as they began to discolor. We used Canna Coco A and B at 1 mL per Liter. With the nutrients, we also started practicing high frequency fertigation, watering 2x daily with some runoff each time. Each plant received about 150 mL per watering. They really seemed to love the high frequency watering and this is when they really took off in growth.
First topping occurred this week - some issues with one plant curling, but it recovered nicely. In hindsight, I should have transplanted at around day 30. They definitely outgrew their little solo cups at this point.
Plants are loving their new pots and are drinking a lot - 500 mL each per water, 2x daily, which is enough for some runoff. Had to turn the light down to 75% to maintain lower heat since it gets very hot here in the summer.
Plants are really exploding in growth - they were transplanted again on the first day of this week. 2nd topping occurred shortly after and the new shoots grew super nicely throughout the week. Theyre still drinking a lot and the nutrients have been raised to 750 PPM.
The plants were taking up quite a bit of room, so I decided to defoliate almost entirely. The result was quite impressive - they looked so naked! Within a week it all grew back. Still watering 2x daily with runoff. Plants do not seem to be absorbing nutrients equally, as there was a mixture of very dark growth and very light growth. Hoping this will stabilize as the plants grow. Started first SCROG net this week too to help fill out the canopy. Planning on using two trellis nets, one during veg and one during flower.
These were the last three days before flower. One final topping 2 days before, and the second trellis was set up 5 inches above the first to allow for more tucking during the stretch. We are limited in height space so we will tuck as much as possible to avoid light bleaching on the buds. They are drinking close to 1 L each per watering, which happens 2x daily. Humidity is quite high (80% +) and I don't know what to do about it. If anyone has suggestions let me know!
So excited for flower! We switched to 12/12 60 days after germination, with the second trellis about 3 inches above the canopy to allow for some stretching. The rightward most plant is still looking slightly deficient but we do not know in what. Apart from that all look healthy and good to go! By the end of the week the canopy is pretty much full - I'd say two more days. These plants are still growing leaves insanely fast. We're cutting off so many fan leaves every day to allow for better light penetration and air circulation but there are just too many for it to be effective.
Plants are stretching quite a bit. Due to limited height in the tent, we set up a third trellis to criss-cross some of the taller branches so they don't get closer than 18 inches from the light. The canopy is in major need of a defoliation but it hasn't been done yet because we lack the time. Please let me know if you have any suggestions as we go forth in flower!
Plants were looking so good until... One day we decided we needed to defoliate because the plants were very busy causing poor airflow. Good thing we did, because one of the plants (sour lemon OG) turned out to be a hermie !!!! We were so upset! We carefully removed it but one of the pollen sacs had already open... As of now it looks like the plant right next to it got pollinated, but the two mimosa evos still appear to be fine. Fingers crossed...
Week 4 flower: all 3 plants left in the tent are pollinated - it's hard to tell to what extent but bud formation has slowed down 😞. Middle plant (Mimosa Evo #2) is definitely the strongest pheno and its trichomes smell like tangerines which is really nice! We did an intense defoliation on Day 24 of flower in an attempt to lower humidity and increase airflow but RH is still dangerously high at 80% because of the current weather. Also gave them a bloom PK top dressing on day 26 because canna coco does not provide a PK boost in their coco nutrient line. Hope to see the buds dense up over the next few weeks without too many seeds ...
HELP! My plants are in week 4 of flower and I gave them an organic top dressing about 4 days ago. The entire top of the coco is now covered in white/grey mold! I tried hydrogen peroxide yesterday but it just grew back stronger overnight. Will this spread to the buds???
The plants are happy and their buds are growing, although not super quickly. Sour lemon OG is definitely the most pollinated and its buds are the airiest with seeds emerging. The hermie in the backyard fell over last night and snapped a few branches :( I patched him up and I hope he's okay! Humidity is still high but dropping (75% RH today) as the weather outside gets cooler.
End of week 6, buds are tightening up nice! I'm not sure when to start flushing or time the harvest because all three plants seem to be maturing at different speeds. Still watering with full nutrients, PPM about 1000 ... Taken the nitrogen down and increased PK. Let me know what you guys think.
Reduced Coco A all the way to nothing to stop giving them nitrogen. Flush started todat, trichomes are 90% opaque. Hope to harvest some time in the next 2 weeks!
Saw some mold on a mimosa bud on Day 50 so chopped em up and harvested 2 weeks early … Found some seeds in mimosa 2 as well because it got pollinated by the hermie:( Not the best ending to this grow but I will jar and weigh them once dry in a week and total up the final yield. Thanks for coming along for the ride!!
The buds are simply fantastic. The smell is of straight oranges and they've only been curing for a few days. Trichome coverage was ridiculous. Had they not gotten pollinated or been cropped out 2 weeks earlier, I believe the yield would have been far larger and the experience even better. The smoke is extremely smooth and tastes of grapefruit. Overall excellent, 10/10 and absolutely worth the price.
This strain was the best genetic I've ever grown. The yield was okay (3 ounces in 4 squared feet for these guys), but the quality of the bud is simply the highest I've ever personally seen. Take a look at the pictures! Buds are super dense and the trichome coverage is absurd.

@Themythicalchristine, Thanks man! Im a little disappointed but its the way it goes … got unlucky w the hermie, all conditions were good so it had to be genetic unfortunately
