Strong sprouts this weekend, a little stretching so I lowered the light to 1.5 inches. I am using a small grow light to start, I will transfer to my main light when I transplant to 7 gallon pots in my tent. Moistened soil when transplanting to solo cups, have not watered since. Gelato is on the left and French is on the right.
I transplanted to final 7 gallon pots today and also put the plants under Spider Farmer SE3000 light. Gelato Cake has a little twisting of the leaves this may be due to PH being off although I measured at 6.50 before watering. This also may be due to high temp during the day. I have resolved temperature with a swamp cooler to bring temps back under 80F. French Macaron looks great! Currently watering when soil is dry about 1/2 inch deep. Although this will change with the bigger pots.
Light is running about 50% power at 24 inches away from tops. Will increase this every couple of days building to 100% power.
This week went great! I got the drip lines set up and ready to top the plants and start the ScrOG at node 5. Lights are now running at 85% power, will increase 5% every watering. I am watering every 3 days and using the minimum fertilizer regiment for rooted seedlings. Will up to vegetative fertilizer levels next week. PH is consistent around 6.5.
This week was okay. My daytime temperature was a little high hitting 90's for a few minutes during the day. Working on lowering the temperature, but thankfully cooler days are coming. Looks like temperature is causing a bit of clawing on my Gelato Cake. Hopefully this is resolved when temperatures lower.
This week I went full vegetation fertilizer schedule, plants seem to like this as the leaves are quite large. PH was steady at 6.50. This week I also topped both plants in preparation for LST this next week. Once they are big enough I will tie down some branches.
Overall happy with how these plants are progressing. The Spider Farmer SE3000 is much better than my last light and I can see these plants love it as well.
This week went great! Was able to get temperatures down a bit to mid 80's during the day. I also started LST for the ScrOG. Plants are growing strong and getting bushy. May have to defoliate this week as some leaves are not getting light and things are getting a little tight. Will continue to LST then start weaving.
This week went great! Plants are growing strong. Started weaving some branches to form the ScrOG. Waiting a little long on the last watering and the leaves got droopy, but once I watered they perked right back up. Ended the week with a flushing using Bush Doctor Sledge Hammer from FF. I like to flush every 1.5 months to prevent nutrient build up. So far I am happy with how the canopy is forming.
Another good week. Continuing to weave the branches for a ScrOG. Leaves look good keeping the same fertilizer regiment. Temperatures have dropped which is great for my plants. Plants are getting bushy as is expected with a ScrOG Indica. I have been trimming a few leaves to help get some airflow. 1-2 more weeks to fill out the trellis then I will switch to flower with 12/12 lighting. Looking forward to see what these plants can do!
This week went great! I tried to take some advice and trim more fan leaves to give lower nodes some light. Continuing to tuck branches under for a ScrOG. Some middle branches are getting taller not sure what to do with these may just cause a bit of an uneven canopy at the end. Today I switched to 12/12 to start flower. Ready for the stretch!
This week went great! Started out the week switching to 12/12 flower and did a flush to start the soil out fresh. I am seeing the stretch now and continuing to tuck branches as I can. Working on separating out the different branches to give as much light as possible. Also doing lots of trimming and deciding on the best bud spots. Have a few branches that have grown much taller than the canopy and I will just let them go since I have some vertical room.
This week in flower went great! The stretch is going strong. The middle nodes are growing very high the outside nodes are looking good as well. Lots of hairs starting to form. Overall very happy. Switching to full flower fertilizer this week.
Another good week in the books. Many hairs are starting to come out of the buds. Working on clearing away leaves and smaller nodes to get light to lower bud sites. Smell is starting to get strong got a new Phresh filter so I don't annoy the neighbors. Also had to add a heater as temps are starting to drop in my garage. Looking forward to seeing how these buds progress. Buds sites are starting to get frosty!
This week went great. Buds are starting to fill in. Trimmed a lot of the lower bud sites. French Macaron leaves are starting to turn purple which is expected with the genetics. Smell is starting to get stronger. Overall I am very pleased with the progress I am seeing lots of frost starting to form and the hairs are long and plenty.
Another good week in the books. Smell is very strong now(sorry neighbors!) that even my filter is not doing much. French Macaron is getting more and more purple. Gelato cake is getting frosty. Buds are starting to get denser and heavier may have to add some supports soon. From the close up trichome shots I see one or two amber only on top buds, but these plants have a lot more time left. Few of the hairs on top are starting to turn orange.
This week went great I have changed my fertilizer to the late bloom schedule. I did a flush on Monday to start the cycle off clean. Smell is getting stronger and buds are getting larger. I am very happy with the amount of frost that is forming.
It is very cool how the French Macaron is turning purple and the Gelato Cake is not. I like the split on the overhead view.
Another great week and the buds are starting to fatten up! Smell is very strong now and crystals are starting to cover more of the leaves. Purple on the French Macaron is starting to cover the whole plant. Trichomes looking good, some are cloudy but not many. Looking forward to the last couple of weeks.
Another good week nearing the end. The Gelato Cake is starting to show some purple colors. The buds are fattening up nicely and are getting even more frosty. Smell is very strong outside and inside my garage, bought a new filter but it doesn't do much.
I will probably have my last fertilizer today and start just going with water this next week. Maybe 1-2 more weeks before harvest. Estimated around 10% amber, 10% clear and 80% cloudy trichomes from around various spots on the plants.
This week went great. I put it on an automatic watering system while I was gone for Thanksgiving. I have officially started the last week or two of flushing. I see that the trichomes are starting to turn amber and only a few clear ones left.
The French Macaron is turning faster than the Gelato Cake. Lots and lots of frost.
I am hoping for a harvest next weekend then on to drying and curing. I am excited to see the final product. Smell is strong right now with a mix of the two.
This strain was easy to grow and I am overall happy with the turnout. This is my 5th grow and this harvest was much more than I have ever harvested before. I think this is due to the new SE3000 light as before I was using a cheaper 150W burple light.
This strain was a great strain to grow. Buds turned out frosty, think and dense. The smell is wonderful. I would definitely grow this strain again and I can't wait until they are dry and cured to try out the effects.
