Both the Ak48 and the Alaskan Ice sprouted very quickly. Alaskan Ice started to develop yellow spots around the tips of its first real leaves. Thinking its a pH issue. Also as i'm doing more research I can see clay pots are not cool so I will be re-potting into a bigger jawn as soon as the seedlings get a little stronger. --------------- Wow! I love this site! I had no idea I would be getting this much help and guidance. Thank you guys its much appreciated. Last night I gave them 6 hours of darkness and this morning I added two more 100W cfls and dropped them a couple inches closer so the seedling doesn't have to reach. I ordered ph strips and a drop test kit and installed a small fan in there to bring it down below 80 at night. I have not added any nutrients to the soil so I am pretty sure the yellowing isn't from that kind of burn. I am also letting the Alaskan and AK dry out for the day. Again thank you all for the help!

After you’ve planted your seeds or rooted your clones, it’s time to get them growing. Lower your reflector so that it’s closer to the plants rather than making them stretch to reach for light. Raise the lighting system as your plants grow. Set your light timer to be on for 18 hours per day and off for 6 hours. During this vegetative stage, the plant will grow leaves and branches but no flowers (unless it’s an auto-flowering plant). Avoid overfeeding and overwatering your plants at all costs. Err on the side of caution as it’s always easier to add more nutrients or water than it is to take them away. Marijuana roots prefer a wet/dry cycle so lift up your buckets and you’ll get a better idea for if they need watering or not by the weight. The first sign of overfed plants is burnt leaf tips.

Don't over water, it's the most common newbie mistake, leer the soil dry between waterings. Second, don't feed if there's no signs of deficiency, let the soil feed the plant

Hey I saw the yellowing tips you mention, my seedling did this when I tried to put her on 24 hours light and it happened quickly, some of us would advise a 20 or 18hr light schedule, unless 24 is working well now. If you can add a cup on top or bottle for a cheap humidity dome they love moisture at this stage. I also see your night temp is fairly close to the day temps, if you're giving any sort of night, try to cool down by 5-10 degrees probably just a small fan would do it. Go easy on nutes this early on the plants will be happy and your billfold too. Any extra lights you can add cfl or other especially during flowering to boost above the 100watts would probably help out also. From what I understand many small lights are better than just 1- 2 strong ones. Happy growing.

Agreed @dudegrowsweed! pH is the single most important factor, whether you’re farming or maintaining swimming pool water. I paid $13 on amazon for a meter that works - I’ve tested it against a dropper based pool test kit and it’s spot on. No need to spend big bucks. But there is a need to spend $13 Eventually you’ll want a real grow light also. Best of luck

Overwatering is the most common mistake made by beginners. Give your soil a chance to dry out a little before watering again. Also, if you’re not monitoring ph, it’s money well spent to check and adjust ph. I resisted ph at first and it was not a smart thing to do. My plants are doing much better since I’ve started adjusting ph. But most important... Have fun!

Ph is very important. A good ph pen tester can cost a quite of bit of money if you are on tight budget. They can go bad with time too. What i recommend is instead buying ph pens you can buy ph drop tests. They are far more cheaper and they do the job. Good luck!!

Nice Alaskan bruv! check mine out too! i bought a crappy 3 in 1 monitor and water tester for my kind soil / water only alakan thunderfuck TURNS OUT YOU DON'T NEED ANY OF THAT CRAP WITH KIND SOIL - luckily our local water is 6.425 so i'm just giving flouride/chloramine filtered water for the entire grow - super easy - check out kindsoil.com for their water only method Humidity and temperature are the two most important measurements for me so far Got a webcam in my tent pointed at the hygrometer lol

They look healthy. Dont wait long for transplant, when tap root hits the bottom its time. Wait until they are robust. Use textpots since they are permeable to air. Ii put mine in 1, then 3, then 15 liter pots. Its better to keep roots healthy and breading. Just water around the roots when they are small
