At this point the light was being turned up about 5% each day and I struggled to find a balance between all the fans. I also got used to sleeping with the A/C on 61*.
After watching many videos and reading I decided to buy a UV-B light and running it for 30 min periods throughout the day with the LED off. Please feel free to drop some knowledge if I’m doing things wrong as this is all new to me.
I had no idea if I should look for the buds themselves or the sugar leafs to start turning amber so I decided to go with the buds. At this point I watering with ph water only. The sugar leafs were half ambers and almost all milky on the buds with some clear I was checking them religiously and by Thursday night they had a few ambers on the buds. The decision was made to go with 48 hours of dark and an ice water and ice bath.
This was my first time growing so let me say this. I am by no means an expert or even a novice please don’t rip on me I’m very willing to take any advice given. This was to become self sufficient and grow my own flower with hopes of using some of it to make my own extracts for dabbing at home and vaping while at work. Also I’m sorry for taking pictures with the lights on and poor job of documenting the grow it pictures from a text message to my brother.
Nube, nice first grow! The only thing I would recommend is... Next time let her go another week or so. I see quite a few white hairs left. Auto flowers can pack on 20%+ more weight if you let them go longer. Just a thought.
@SHAMMYDOG, thanks I was thinking that already after seeing many of the diaries going 12-15weeks my partner in crime started freaking out after seeing a few ambers throughout the buds and the sugar leafs themselves were 60% amber. I will definitely let the second one go longer as I prefer indica vs the sativa effect my brother wanted.
