I’m a made man now. Gotta put in a lil bit more effort out of obligation and respect to my new Martian family, they’ve made me an offer I can’t refuse so here we go. Thank you MARS Hydro 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Let’s grow some 🔥 that is out of this world.
I’ve been using Photone app for a lil over a year (iPhone, LED Full Spec with paper diffuser as per instructions), this has worked for me (so far). It’s probably not 100% accurate and I have nothing to compare but this is what I got (for now). Better than nothing and probably does a better job than my eyes 🧐....can’t wait to see the numbers this bad boy produces once I finish my time in trim jail and clear out my tent. I hear the SP3000 is a 2x4 killer 💪
Here’s what I got so far this run...
San Bacio Gelato (first time growing):
• Bacio Gelato x 3 Kings BHB
• Flowering Time: 60-67 days (~9wks)
• Total THC: 20-25%
Apex (3rd time from seed):
• Lilac Diesel 10 x Mandarin Cookies
• Flowering Time: 9 Weeks
• Total Cannabinoids: 30%
• CBD: 1-2% / CBG: 1-2%
3 x T5 LEDs (Sunblaster 24”)
Sprouted with 1.
2 = 7500 lux @ 4”
3 = 9500 lux @ 4”
Water source is city tap and filtered through BoogieBlue Plus coming out at 7-7.5ph, 100ppm. I’m using a Bluelab ph pen and Truncheon, I calibrate the ph pen every two weeks and clean and calibrate the Truncheon after each grow.
Aug 10 • 12hr seed soak then ~18hr paper towel
Aug 12 • into peat pellets/soil and biodegradable 10” pots.
Aug 13 • cotyledon appear aww so cute 🌱
Aug 23 • they’re growing fast! Plugged directly into 1 gallon fabric pots. Generously sprinkled potting hole with VAM and OneShot. Dunno what transplant shock is, never experienced it :P Top dressed with GreenGro Defense (organic pest repellent) and post on GD.
For now I’m mixing it up with very little Roots Excelurator, 100% Kelp Extract, Photo+, GreenGro Aminos, PowerSi and FulPower. Watering at 6.3ph, 100ml every 2-3 days.
Will start foliars soon...I’ll see how it goes for now and will react (preferably not) if I start noticing anything wonky (like my last batch of seedlings).
Soil is charged and ready to go. Hoping for just weekly teas and very little to no nutrients, just additives during veg and flower/finish with full Nectar. I guess that’s the style I’m leaning towards, NGL mixing all those Nectar nutes is a straight up pain in the ass, but I believe it produces a healthy plant and a damn fine smoke that is a lot better than a lot of stuff at the dispensaries. Who knows maybe I’ll switch to something easier in the future...
That’s all for now. Let’s have some fun in the comments, like me and I’ll like u back :)
May all your grows be problem free and provide maximum yields. Stay safe and happy gardening 🌱🌱

Seedlings are taking well to their new homes....noticed some tiny white markings on the leaves and saw a few tiny larvae crawling around, I thought it was dust at first but nope, long, white and green on the inside, smaller than this period . Dunno what they are and don’t care. Sprayed them down with some Lost Coast and will repeat as necessary.
Still under 2 T5 LEDs. No nutes. Just an EZ Tea here and a few additives there. One foliar spray of PowerSi, seaweed, photo+ and aminos.
Topped on day 21...post on GD and share with the world.
Happy growing 🌱🌱

So I fucked up. The foliar spray I mixed up grew mold and went rancid (after 4 days) and I found out AFTER I sprayed the plants and top soil. I sprayed them down with water but too late, noticed some black marks on the leaves and leaf tips went crispy after a few days....was debating whether to start from seed again while I was cleaning the tent (spray and wipe with 70% alcohol) and installed the lights.
But all is not lost....new growth is strong af under the new SP3000! Currently running at 25%, 6” away. ~400 PPFD, ~30k lux. These lights are sweet. Topped them again on day 38.
Soil mix seems like it’s holding up. Haven’t fed any nutrients yet, just a few EZ Teas and additives. Gelato is nice and stout. Apex is more stretchy. Glad I didn’t give up on them. Always give them a chance :)
That’s all for now. Thanks for stopping by.

So I’m a dumbass and goofed up (again)...leaves on the Apex were pointing down all week after transplant and LST. Thought the light was too intense, so I turned them down. Thought it was the LST and/or had a bad case of transplant shock, maybe the roots got really messed up. I only gave them like 500ml of 50% feed each in like 5 days and pots felt heavy... I was afraid of over watering, turns out I was under watering. Gave them each 900ml EZ Tea with some Kraken (to adjust ph) and coconut water and leaves are perky again. Now I know better, I hope they stay that way.
Soil slurry ph is 6.6 and 700ppm (ec7)
Lights are 8” (20cm) away at 60% - according to Photone app (LED Full Spec): 50000 lux, 800 par.
That’s it for my weekly garden drama. Thanks for stopping by. Happy gardening 🌱🌱

This week is better. They’re starting to take off now after recovering from transplant shock and under-watering.
No liquid nutrients yet, just a top dress of OneShot, additives like aminos, a lil bit of mag and a 3/4 strength insect frass tea. I think I have enough goodies in the soil to last til flip, will introduce Nectar slowly and get them used to it and push them hard in flower.
Lots of branches popping up everywhere....will grab some cuttings from the gelato before flip. Kinda tired of growing Apex...my last run is lacking flavour/taste. I’m on the hunt for better genetics now...any suggestions?
Canopy readings from Photone:
60000 lux and 1000 par...I might be pushing it too much? I don’t see any issues...
Lights are 9” away from canopy, 70%
SP3000 lights are doing a superb job in my 2’x4’ tent (in my humble opinion). Exciting times ahead!
Again, thanks for stopping by and showing some growmie support and love. Stay safe and happy gardening 🌱🌱

Welcome back to another fun filled week. Did some training to fill out the canopy. Introduced a full feed at 50ish% strength, then some additives and a tea. I think the plants are doing a-ok and pests (springtails, soil mites, fungus gnats) are barely noticeable.
SP3000 is 12” away running at full tilt for the past week. Awesome light, plants are handling it like champs so I got a lil something for them as a reward, will be installing now to get ready for flip....will do a trim, a lil more LST and recover for a week :)
Took advice from master Boofer...get the best genetics u can find (it’s not what he said, it what he means)... so I managed to score some craft beans from @RightHemisphere.Genetics and will be popping them instead of grabbing clones. I still have some gelato beans from the sherbinski/HSO collab so no biggie 😎
Take a quick look at some of the flowers from RightHemisphere.genetics over on Insta, I promise u won’t be disappointed. I just hope I can do him proud when I grow his seeds...if I can get 50% of what I see on his insta I’m happy.
Oh. Mixed a new soil and noticed my bag of compost got infested with fungus gnats so I tossed it...I think that’s what was giving me grief. Hopefully no more. Will be using extra worm castings to compensate.
That’s pretty much it for this week. Stay tuned for more updates. I also created an account on Instagram @420sparkles.
Happy gardening 🌱🌱
One more thing. Pictures lifted from Instagram, posted by @22highype. Used without permission by owner. I reached out to him/her via dm but no reply. I’ll take it down if I get in shit but in the mean time...lol

69 😉 days from seed soak. Veg is done. Sending off to Mars to flower cuz I installed 2 SP3000s in my 2x4 (60x120) tent.
Introduced Nectar and have been feeding full strength now. Seems like I have to water every day...1 gallon each of full feed per plant, 18 hours later seems like they are thirsty again..leaves drooping down and perk up after water. I’ll start doing 1.5 gallons and up the nutes....maybe it’s the new lights.
Photone says: ~90000 lux in middle, ~70000 on the edges/sides.
I think I’m pushing it but it seems my plants are loving it.

Ramped up feeds (sometimes to ~2000ppm ec7, tbh my last few runs I never pushed past 2k) the past week and hitting them hard with mycos and strong teas. I don’t use all the nutrients/additives at once, I split it up. They drink and eat so much now...1 gallon every 24hrs. Feed, feed, tea. Rinse lather repeat. Leaves have been praying every single day for the past few weeks and flowers popping up everywhere now. It’s awesome, I love it.
Next run, defoliate more before sending into bloom, the space is getting really full....I wasn’t prepared for so much growth, I’ve never had 2 SP3000s in my 2x4. Gonna defoliate next week and get rid of the larf.

Flowers flowers everywhere and holy they are eating/drinking like mad, 1 gallon each every 24 hrs, I skipped a day (gave 1 liter of CannControl cuz I saw a few fungus gnats) and the pots were bone dry and one pot (apex) developed a big air pocket...FML for the next two months :P
Raised the lights as high as they can go, dimmed to 80%, 6” from canopy....these lights are strong. Let the good times roll.

All pics day 27 of bloom. Seeds soaked Aug 10. Flipped Oct 18. Apex is the tall one on the right. Gelato is the shorty on the left.
Reduced volume of feed to .5 gallons every 24hrs. Feed feed tea, Still at 2000+ ppm (ec7) on feed days. Pushing them hard cuz it’s hammer time. Lots of Herc, lots of Bloom Khaos. I hate mixing all these bottles. Gonna finish what I have (prolly another 3-4 runs, maybe 5 or 6?) and grab something simpler cuz I’m a lazy ass.
A pair of SP3000s are very powerful for a 2x4. I’m still learning this setup, lord please forgive me… there is some light bleaching or whatever on a few of the colas that are really close to the light so reduced to <75% from 95%…about 65-95k lux now across the canopy according to Photone (not the best or most accurate but for $5, whatever).
That’s all for now. Eat. Sleep. Grow.
Thanks for popping by. Hope u have a great day :)

Welcome back to my two plants, two lights, one 2x4 tent garden.
All pics day 33 since flip
TLDR: I fucked up. Blame the grower….plants are root bound in 7 gallon pots. 4~ weeks left.
Was vegging with one sp3000 and only feeding minimum…just additives like MSA, aminos and teas. A splash of nutes here and there but nothing crazy. Everything is going awesome.
I pruned them back, popped in another SP3000, flipped to 12/12 and introduced Nectar and boy oh boy did they take off….I wasn’t ready for so much growth in bloom.
Leaves on the Apex are showing symptoms of deficiency or lock-out or something. Apex is the bigger of the two, drinks so much more and is probably more root bound than the gelato. I can see root hairs popping out on top of the soil. Not gonna sweat cuz there’s nothing I can do…I’m not gonna transplant, it’s too much work, I got a net and I don’t want to do it 4 weeks in…will just ride it out. And hopefully do better.
Grabbed some 10 gallon pots for next time.
All I gotta say is these lights are very powerful. My plants smell so good now but could be so much better. Blame the grower, not the nutes, not the lights. Still getting my shit dialed in…my next grow will be my best grow. On with the show.

Welcome back. Mid/late flower now. Winding down nutes and teas and will feed to get the buds to ripen.
Apex is frosting up nicely and her smell is popping, closest I can get to describing it is like cleaning products from a real fancy hotel…but lots of fan leaves are showing signs of deficiencies and/or lockout cuz she’s root bound really bad. Buds and sugar leaves aren’t affected, so far so good, I hope they stay that way 🤞
Gelato is fattening up real nice and has that distinct pungent aroma but not as strong as apex and not a lot of trichs. I hear this strain starts picking up in week 7+…although she’s root bound too but not as bad (I think).
Lights are at 80%…they’re fricken beasts and way too much power for such a short, tiny tent. Next grow will be same strains, bigger final pots and will be in a new tent that is 6” (15cm) taller, every little bit helps :)

I’m so glad this run is coming to an end. I wasn’t prepared for such massive growth with 2 lights in my tiny 2x4 (60x120)…pots ended up being way too small for these plants and I’ve been feeding every single day to keep them going, if I don’t water at least .75 gallon every day soil becomes bone dry.
Gelato is still kinda going strong. Apex is limping along to the finish line, leaves are dying, buds are ok but could be so much better. I could’ve done better, ah well, I’m still learning.
My next run will be my best run (I always say that)…most likely be one plant vegged and trained for maybe 9-10 weeks to fill out the tent and finishing in a 15 gallon pot.
Should be flushing in plain ph water next week and will be stuck in trim jail over the holidays but I ain’t complaining.
Thanks for stopping by. Happy holidays 🌱🌱

Tbh. I’m so glad this grow is done. I wasn’t ready for a pair of these lights in a 2x4. Bigger pots for next run. Veg less, prune more so I can bitch less and grow more.
At least there are no bugs at all! No mites, no gnats, no springtails. Nothing. Growing in winter is awesome.
Will be updating with weight after drying.
Sparkles Sorry for the late update, it’s been hectic and I’ve and lazy. This was a tough run. Had to water every single day, 7 gallon pots was not enough… I made it to the finish line tho. I don’t even know how much I harvested off this one plant but I’m assuming a pound at least (including popcorn). I will have enough for a while.
Sparkles So since a stupid ass can’t read properly I thought I would update my other plant and close off this diary. Yes 2 sp3000 in a 2x4 is better than one.
@Sparkles, yeah keeping clones of all the Humboldt and Dinafem stuff is a good idea. Could be a while before we are able to get our hands on those genetics.
@AutoCrazy, yea. I read on google somewhere money laundering...legal issues gonna take some time like u said. I’m glad I stocked up on a few too! And will be cloning the gelato this run.
@Sparkles, they along with Dinafem are in legal trouble. Not sure exactly what but it may take sometime before it gets sorted out. Luckily I had stocked up prior to that happening 😅
2 of those Mars in a 4x4 is an amazing setup Sparks! ❤️...I never thought I'd love an LED so much but that SP-3000 is even brighter than our Philips LECs..we have the tents in the same room now and you can see the difference 💡🌱😽💨 ...Good luck with the grow!! Following!!
@Kitties_and_Colas, Thanks for the love ❤️ I wish I had room for a bigger grow space, I only have a 2x4. Yes I agree, for real, these lights are awesome and the best bang for ur buck and even brighter when there are two😎
