This is my first time ever trying to grow cannabis so please forgive me if I break any unwritten rules, and any help is greatly appreciated. So, I planted the seed directly in the medium on 11th of august at 11 am. Then for the next few days i kept looking after it. Since I don't have a humidifier yet, I tried to increase the humidity by hanging wet towels near the air-intake and by covering the pot with plastic. I used tap water that was left uncovered for at least 24h and tried to keep the PH near 6. As of 14th of august, the plant has already sprouted and made it's way out of the soil. As you can see in the picture, the tip of the plant is bent, I am suspecting it could've been because of the plastic film over the pot. I am hoping this "stress" would not affect her too much. :( I removed the plastic film and instead cut out the bottom of a plastic bottle and put it over the sprouted seedling. I am planning to keep it on until I see some leaves or get a humidifier. 3-4 hours later : Now I have added a humidifier that can bring up RH. Originally I wanted to put it inside the tent but there is not enough space. So, I have put it outside near the air-intake vent. I have also removed the plastic bottle from over the plant since now the whole tent has enough humidity. 16/8/21 I have added more soil at the bottom of the pot and have also lowered the light. The plant is a bit stretchy with 2.7 inch height. I'm assuming it's because my light is too weak(at only 30 actual watts from the wall). 17/8/21 seems like lowering the light has helped because in the last 24 hours, she hasn't got any taller but the leaves have grown a little more. 18/8/21 So I had checked her in the morning but in the afternoon I saw her leaning at like a 60 degrees angle. There was no bend in the stem and the pivot seemed to be at the roots. The culprit, in my opinion, was the loose soil and strong airflow from the air-intake. This combination made her shake from left to right and was kind of plucking her from the ground. I reinforced the loose soil and compacted it a little, plus i also added a small amount of dry soil on top to support the stem and to straighten her. The wire around her is actually not supporting her, it's just preventative in case she starts leaning over again. Fingers crossed. 18/8/21 11 pm The light accidentally fell over her, laid her flat on the soil and also folded the stem right below the first and only set of leaves. It was looking really bad, her head went completely limp just hanging by few fibers. I immediately stood her up and put some dry soil at the bottom of the stem to kinda reinforce her to stand straight again. Then I took some wire and supported the limp "head" with it. You can see the question picture. 20/8/21 She has made a miraculous recovery in just 36 hours. I have removed the crutches and she is standing on her own. However there is a bend right below the leaves where the stem had broken. At this point I am just grateful that she has made a speedy recovery and because this is my first grow ever, I don't even really care how this accident would affect the final yield. I just want to bring her to conclusion and give her a full life cycle. (You can see in the picture the point where the stem had folded over because even after recovery she is left with a bent head) I am also working on a monitoring setup. So far I have managed to put in a DHT22 sensor that tracks temperature and humidity, and also a camera. I am using a Raspberry Pi 3B to interact with the sensors. I have not developed a GUI yet so that's why in the screenshot you only see the sensor readings on the webpage and nothing else.

I used a three gallon pot and filled it, with moist soil, to around 70% capacity. Would this soil be enough for a single Royal Gorilla Auto or Should I add more soil? If the answer is positive then how should I go about it? Any help is greatly appreciated since I am a total noob.

The 3 gallon pot looks like a good size for your tent but I would fill the pot with soil. As the plant grows the soil level will drop. I had done some auto's in 3 gallon fabric pots filled to the top. Lately I grow auto's in 5 gallon fabric pots filled to the top. 3 gallon will grow nice plants but I got bigger plants and more yield with 5 gallon pots. I use a old soldering iron or heat a nail and burn holes around the top edge of the pot. They are great locations to attach wire/string if you do low stress training.

So, this is her 24 hours after she first came out of the soil. I am trying to follow 18-6 light cycle. The height is two inches. Does she look a little lanky to you guys? Should I lower the light a little bit?

So, I am using tap water and its ppm is between 300-400. However I just checked by runoff water PPM and it came over 2500 with ph around 6. I have not used any fertilizer whatsoever and the soil is BioBizz Ligth Mix. What could be causing this issue?

If your plant is growing well, is there a real problem? Your high readings are probably from the fertilizers the manufacturer added to their soil mix.

I am using a full spectrum LED that draws only 30W from the wall but it might be too weak since my plant is getting lanky. I have moved it closer to the plant but now I am afraid of over-heating. How many watts LED would be sufficient for my 40cmX40cmx120cm tent?

Meter that light if you can...that's really the only way to really know what it's delivering at any given height, though 30w seems scant at best. You might want to look into running your light 20/4 or even 24h to make up for lack of firepower with extra exposure time...you'll probably have a better chance of success. Before I went and bought a higher powered light I was sitting with ~100w or so and an experienced professional grower suggested I go 20/4 or 24h to make up for lack of delivered PPFD.

My light accidentally fell on my seedling and broke the stem right below the first set of leafs. The stem, however, did not break in half but it folded over. I have added support to keep it straight. Is there anything else I could do to improve her chances of recovery?

Looks great honestly I can’t even tell anything happened to it. I’d bet she’ll make it just fine. If it’s still looking good 24-48 after the accident - you’re in good shape and no need to worry

I added more soil and buried an inch of the stem because of an accident that I had. To prevent stem rot I used dry soil. She has recovered from the accident. How long should I wait before watering her and causing the newly added soil to get wet? (details in diary)

Plants still pretty small. If u believe the tap root still has water just water a little around the plant not at the stem. Make the roots stretch out to the ends of the pot

She has this one spot on the leaf. It is only on the upper side, meaning if i look underneath the leaf there is no such mark. I have no idea what it could be. If it indicates some sort of problem then I would like to get it under control before it propagates any further.

At the moment it is too early to say the cause. But the only thing I can tell you is that: the chlorophyll is degrading. That means you might have a magnesium deficiency.

I just noticed these tiny white dots on the leaf. They weren't there this morning when I checked. I have no idea what it could be. Any help please?

So I did some research and everything suggests that the reason could be some kind of bug. So I have sprayed her with neem oil emulsion and turned off the lights. I read that neem oil works better in the absence of light because of the temperature drop.
