Tails roughly 3/4” and added to 100% Happy Frog soil. The room and tent are coming up to proper humidity and temperature so I added plastic domes over the seeds in the meantime
Day 1: We’re off and growing. BBA1 (left) popped up today. BBA2 (right) popped up yesterday. Keeping them moist for now with a sprayer. Also keeping the domes on still for the time being.
Day 4: BBA1 and BBA2 are in the hands of technology for 4 days. I'm off to the shore and everything feels dialed in. AC and Heater to bracket and hot days and cold nights. Humidifier and Dehumidifier to take of those swings. And finally a water pump I order on amazon. The pump should...should.. pump 20mm of water to each plant 3 times day. I'm keeping the domes on still just to be safe. When I get back we'll be into week 2 and hopefully they've survived
Back from vacation and the watering system worked perfectly.
Day 8: They’re looking good so I’ve taken the domes off. Seems I have a springtail problems. I sprayed the surrounding soil with some natural pesticide.
Minor inconvenience to the grow… BBA’s are on Day 15. They spent the latter part of week 2 outside because our house was hit by a tornado and he had no power. Luckily it’s restored now and they can continue. Temps at night dropped into the 50s but they seem unaffected.
Ditched the plastic LST clips - Not a fan. Back to the classic method of wire + clipping to the side of the pot. Much better control of the top of the plant to allow the sides to grow out.
I noticed a a little browning on the bottom leaves and a few edges at the beginning of the week. I will have to start feeding, but going to wait one more week.
Decided to start feeding as Nitrogen deficiency was clearly setting in. 1/4 nutes to start.
We are flowering and we are OFFICIALLY on the struggle bus 😅 Last feeding didn't do a thing. I'm upping to about 1/2 nutrients (2/3 on grow big) to see if it has an effect. BBA1 & 2 are screaming for nitrogen but I'm still afraid to overfeed. We'll see what happens...
We have a lot going on at home so I missed a week here. But the plants seem to have responded better to upping the nutrient amount to 2/3. Color is coming back and smell is increasing. I plucked the dead leaves and now they look a little stalky - but they're alive.
BBA2 shot up to 16"! I used an LST clip just to get it down to match heights with BBA1.
I was very reluctant to feed until week 5 or at flower. Others with similar grows seem to have gotten away with this. Perhaps next time I'll feed more heavily week 4.
