Blue Dream and Chemdog

el_cultivito Transplanted this week, 2 weeks from sprouts. Soaked cubes 30 min in 5.5ph water with some nutrients ~550ppm Added floraflex caps right away to avoid algae build up on cubes

el_cultivito 2 center plants started drooping a bit half way through the week. I think it may have been from the rootball drying out and needing water since I just transplanted last week. I gave it a little bit of water around the root ball and it seemed to have responded well.

el_cultivito Waited until the lil ladies showed the beggining of their 7th node, then topped them all back down to the 4th node

el_cultivito Plants started getting real bushy a couple of days after topping. Low Stress Trained all the plants at the end of the week by tying them down using rubber coated garden wire to spread out the newly grown tops. Also spaced out each plant evenly on the tray and turned on the other 2 PB2000 LED lights I had ready to go.

el_cultivito Added yellow sticky fly traps to all cubes as a preventative measure to avoid infestation of fungus gnats. So far none have been spotted. Defoliated and did a little more LST to all the plants to open up the center and give more light to lower shoots. Blue Dream 3 and Chemdawg 3 started showing some discoloration on the leaves (yellowing around the veins) and also the leaf tips curling down. Did some research and came up with this... Possible diagnosis: - Yellowing around leaf veins could be a sign of Magnesium or Iron deficiency - Leaf tip curling down could be a sign of Nitrogen Toxicity. - Both could be caused by improper ph balance in water Possible solutions: - Applied Botanicare CalMag+ as a foliar feed and added some to the reservoir. CalMag+ contains Calcium, Magnesium and Iron. - Diluted nutrients in reservoir to lower amount of nitrogen being fed to plants. Was feeding them at 1300ppm, lowered it to 1050ppm - Tested runoff and saw it was coming out at 5.4pH so I increased the pH in the reservoir to 6.0. Now the runnoff is testing at 5.7pH, meaning that my rootzone is in the optimal range of 5.5-5.8 Well wait and see how the plants react to these slight tweaks. Hopefully we start to see a nice healthy even green again.

el_cultivito Set up Scrog in the start of the week. Foliar fed with CalMag + Iron 3 times this week. Defoliated lower shoots and fan leaves mid week. Raised ph in reservoir to 6.1 because the runoff was coming out at 5.2 ph. Now the runoff is at a steady 5.6 ph.

el_cultivito Flipped to Flower this week. First day of 12-12 light cycle was 10/04/21 Did some defoliating half way though the week. Kept tucking taller shoots under the scrog net. Also installed a dehumidifier near the end of the week becuase I couldn't get the humidity to go below 65%.

el_cultivito Flowers started showing up this week. Flowers forming on nodes. Did a flush this week for 3 days straight with RO water and CalMag+ to 250ppm and 5.8PH.

el_cultivito Middle 2 plants stretched a lot week 3 of flower. They were growing slower in veg so I flipped to flower as soon as their canopy reached the net (barely LST these 2 plants with the net given their slower growth). Then week 2-3 of flower they took off. Did some defoliating to expose bud sites further down with the intent to increase yeilds.

el_cultivito Set up a second trellis net to help support the fatter tops that have gone far beyond the first trellis. Added a second 6 inch clip fan to help with air flow. One side of the tent had higher humidity but now with more air flow its solved the issue.

el_cultivito Blue Dream 1 started showing lots of rust spots and yellowing on leaves so I added more CalMag+ Iron to the reservoir believing the symptoms to be a deficiency in CalMag. Blue Dream 3 also still showing signs of CalMag deficiency.

el_cultivito Lowered the ppm of the nutrient solution. Leaves starting to yellow.
