Hello guys.
This round I'm planting monstercropped clones of Critical Daddy from last round. https://growdiaries.com/diaries/100652-grow-journal-by-laian
I was not satisfied with final quantity, but quality was quite satisfying, actually I got pretty nice feedback from friends. I've decided to give Blimburn another chance, especially due to the fact they've treated me in very pro-consumer way over the email communication.
This time there are few differences from last grow. First od all, clones are monster cropped, which should create very dens bush very fast (speed is positive, uncotrolled offspring spawning is negative)
This time I'm not going to flood my NFT permanently, but only once in 2-3 hours for just 5 minutes
And I'm going to build classic SCROG (last time it was mainlining without trellis)
And finally I'm going to move PH levels little bit higher between 5,8 and 6,5 (the reason behind that is that I've encountered some problems with magnesium uptake last rounds-at least I think it was magnesium, thatš why I'm increasing PH to the level where it is easily absorbed by plant.)
Wattage increase to 130Watts
You can see how manster cropped clones are spawning their offsprings. Look at the weird shapes of leaves :)
I'm bending those branches in order to control the canopy somehow.
We have very high temperatures here and in my tent the temperatre gose above 30 °C. That's bad. I'm adding silica, humic acids and hydroguard is working as well.
Next two weeks I'm taking off for vacation, it will be really challenge for plants to survive on autopilot. The biggest task is to maintain correct PH. Silica and PK booster is making it very unstabel. Keep fingerscrossed.
After 14 days of vacation I was quite surprised. System ran on autopilot and everything seems to be OK. PH decreased from 6,3 to 5,8, that's not bad, although EC increased from 1,6 to 2,6 and that's quite overnuting. There are few burnt tips, but at the end of the day plants seem to be OK. My NFT system proved to be quite independent.
After this week I'm strating with flushing phase.
Last stage of ripening. Final flush. I've spotted mold on one bud, so it went out. Hopefully I'll resist one more week. Then I want cut the top mature buds and let the rest some ripening another week. Of course depends on borytis.
So here it is. Unfortunatelly bud rot went bad so I had to cut it down on 63rd day of flower. (Last round I cut it on day 65) This time I feel the ripening process didn't finish fully and buds stayed small. Probably they wouldn't grow much anymore.
regular buds: 109g
popcorn: 80g
light wattage at peak: 260W
electric consumption (lights only): 258 kWh
gram/Watt: 0,72
gram/kWh: 0,73
As you can see, the yield is low. I'm dissapointed again. I gave this genetics one more chance but it didn't deliver again. Buds are small and there is lot of popcorn, but to be fair flavours are fantastic and potency quite satisfying.
Generally regarding this grow I have to say that monstercropping was not a big deal, stems were quite weak and whole structure was hard to control. On the other hand SCROG seems to be nice development in terms of spreading the canopy over the area.
In last weeks I struggled with bud rot, I should gave them more radical defoliation to avoid this. This time not even Hydroguard did help.
