Unknown strain someone gave me. Started it in a foam cup straight 12/12 from seed since I get the complete 12 hours of sunlight in this place, and I just had to build a small "sleep room" to complete the other 12 hours of full darkness. Ultrapot Mix so no added nutrients up until flowering.
Shows sex at third week and 1 day. I begin counting flowering from here. No nutes yet since potmix is loaded with nutrients and the plants seems just fine.
Begin of Nutrients at 1/3 the dose per gallon. One feed every two waterings of clean tap water. NPK of 7 - 18 - 33 for production of flowers. This sudden excess of nitrogen, I believe, it began a little bit of nute burn.
By this time i would say 50% of pystils are turning brown. I believe by the end of the week they might be 70% brown, BUT buds are fattening and growing new white pystils, so I am afraid I got another whole week of waiting until harvest. WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE THINK? The pictures show thricomes on the midst of week 8. Taking into consideration she flowered on week 3, she has 6 weeks flowering by now, and looking good. It smells good, and I also have to say that I've had a problem with spider mites that it's been controlled but not terminated, and I am afraid they finally take over since defenses of the plant are lowering due to its final stage of life. RIGHT NOW, several sugar leaves are turning their tips deep purple, as well as some veins in the upper leaves are also turning somewhat pink. I've read this is signal of the end of her life and harvest day is getting closer. Please, give me your opinions. FIRST GROW, so I have the impatient syndrome of the firstgrowers.
Harvested on Day 76 before sunrise. Wet buds weigh 105grams. I expect around 1 Oz dry. Been drying for two days with a fan at nights since humidity rises up to 80% and i want to avoid mold. Some fast dry buds that i tried hit hard and taste good. This mystery seed was grown 12/12 from seed outdoors, After some research I just assume it was GG4 but who really knows. What matters is that it is some great marihuana. I used Fafard ultra mix soil and 5 gal pots. This specific plant I believe was weak since it got spider mites very early and I could never get rid of them, just controlled. She was sleeping along two other plants, and to this day, those are safe and sound and did not get the mites. Anyways this was my first grow and you just keep learning from your mistakes. Give your opinions! Update. Made cannabutter with barely 15 grams of sugar leaves and it resulted very potent and long lasting. Update: this plant provided 30g dry of potent weed. UPDATE: buds dried after 4 days and they've been curing in jars for five days already with this weird smell like fresh cuando and dried leaves. They feel and look dry. Not moist at all. I hope it fades away with time and it gets back its citrus smell.
For best results with drying / curing I don't use a fan as it tends to dry unevenly and when you jar up the weed it will get wet and taste a little sour 👍 Nice buds 🌱
@BigDaddyK, I decided not to usea dehumidifier due to the extreme weather here. My buds seem to be really dry by now (day 4 of dry), although stems are not snapping off, they just bend. I jarred just a couple to see how they behave while the others dry up for the rest of the day. The thing is I do not have a Humidity meter or anything like that, so it is a trial and error game.
@Willowshes, I have a dehumidifier, but if will raise temperature - I have it on in other room mixed with clean air intake - I can keep the drying room at 55% and 21-23C it takes about 8 days to be perfect but after 1 month cure in glass jars - it's fantastic 👍
@GreenDogLV, Yeah, man, I was lucky both to receive this strain and to produce such a beautiful plant without much knowledge!! That's what is amazing about growing. You learn TONS from it and now I feel a lot more prepared for my second grow. Greets!
@Ripper, Yeah, man. Go for it. It actually works. Are you growing outdoors as well? I have another two mystery girls on 12/12 from seed outdoors too. I will be posting their diaries soon.
