Successful germination using the following method:
Soaked seeds in tap water, PH 6.5 and 100ppm, in a dark warm cupboard for 24hrs.
After that I put them on cheap kitchen towel (seeds can root into expensive porous ones) which I had wet with the ph’d water. Another 24 hrs and a little tap root had shown on both.
Both were then planted directly into 14L
plastic pots with a mix of 80% Canna Terra Professional and 20% Vermiculite.
The next day both had popped and showing their first leaves.
Currently under the Mars Hydro ts1000 @ 25% power and 18inches from plant.
Keeping humindity 60%+ with a small humidifier. Their new tent arrives next week until then they are just in the corner of a room.
Their soil has enough feed in it for roughly 4 weeks. They will recieve only 100ppm tap water+ little cal mag for that whole time.
Really happy with the speed of growth so far! Now that they are in their new tent, I am now able to have the ts1000 @100% power @24inch distance from plants. They seems to be loving life and will only decrease distance to light slowly. Noticed alittle bit of stretch in their first days but are now great under the increase in watts.
Still only tap water 100ppm, not watering to runoff yet, still only giving small doses. Should be a couple more weeks worth of feed in the soil still :).
Light up to 70 %power. Run off was 1200ppm organic still so will feed next time for first time bloom nutes. White preflowers starting to shoot up all over the place. Will continue with a bit more lst throughout the stretch period.
100% power now on the ts2000 @ 24inchs. Trying to follow this rough guide of DLI for autoflowers, stumbled across on it on a random forum, seems to have worked great so far;
