RQS CKE photoperiod , first grow

One got stretchy real fast, so i already had to put it in a spiral kind of thing. I think of leaving them about one more week in the mini greenhouse.

Everything is going fine, im really happy with how well the two are growing, since my last grow ended up in a disaster (that's what happen when you buy seeds from a shady vendor i guess..) I repoted my seedlings in two perforated plastic cup, so i could recreate an air pot, maybe ill use a geotextile pouch later. In the last pic you can see my homemade reflector for my 4w bulb, it does the job surprisingly well! Thinking of putting them under 100w by the end of week 2. See ya Ferid

3 weeks already, nothing weird to declare.. I heard that roots don't like light, (which actually makes sense now that I'm thinking tabout it) so i had to craft a dark box to keep the roots protected from my household sun. I put them under a small 10w bulb, because i realized that it grew at the same rate as a plant under 100w, based on what i saw on other diaries. First nutes two days ago, and I water it once every 3-4 days. I'll try to figure out a way to make them veg under a christmas light string, i'll see what i'll come up with. Ferid

Started lst training a week ago, It seems to work fairly well. I think I will try scrogging this time, with a veg time of approx. 7-8 weeks. I put them under the 100w cfl this week. I forgot how much heat these bulbs produce, I will have to find a solution to keep the tent cool when i'll put the 200w cfl for the blooming. Btw, the christmas light string was a sh×t idea. Otherwise, everything's fine

These plants are growing stronger and healthier every day ! I made an experiment: one plant got topped and Ileft the other untouched, we'll see if it really matter in the harvest size. Normally, the topped plant would have fewer but fatter colas.. I also built a DIY ScroOG, not so bad actually, and saved me 10.- One is growing a bit faster than the other and is a lot more pale, could be a nitrogen deficiency due to it's bigger size, but I'm not going to do anything about ir for now, just keep up with the regular feeding. Last week of veg ! These are by far the healthiest plants I've ever grown, perfect leaves, no signs of deficiency, and a good smell coming just from the stem. The one I didnt topped was growing a lot slower, so I just had to top it. It is still significantly smaller, and I defoliated her today in hope that she'll be big enough when Ill switch to 12/12. I reported them in 11l geotextile pouches, maybe they'll grow better, well see. The scrog is working pretty well, pictures will come soon. Ferid

Today is the big day, I switched off the lights for ~20 hours, I read that it triggers flowering faster. They are getting really big really fast, I'm afraid that if I leave them one more week in veg they'll grow wayy too much for my tent. I fed them with a mix of veg+bloom nutes, I read that you shouldn't just change the nutrients over night apparently. Now the tricky part begin, I hope I wont mess things up ! Wish me luck, Ferid

Love it, the stretch has begun, more than 15cm in a week ! The first pistils are growing out of their calixes, the smell is getting stronger and stronger each day, but it's nowhere near the final thing. I defoliated the plants today, it's my first doing this so I justhope I didnt messed things up. I'll give them some days of rest, with the recommended nutes. I plan to buy AN bud candy, I'll see if I can find a small bottle of it. For now I just have Canna's terra bloom , npk 1:1:1, that's why I added dried eggshells and dried banana peels to the soil, just to boost a bit p & k. I do have some problem of bugs, my leaves are getting eaten by a really small bug(i cant see it) but I know it's there. I sprayed some pesticide on it today, we'll see how it goes. (I hope that Atrazine is a lot more healthier when smoked). See ya, Ferid

Second week of flowering over ! I had a problem last week where the automatic switch broke and the lights stayed on for 23h... I think it messed up with their hormones, so the flowering will take a few days more.. I really hope to see big flowers this time, I will buy more blooming nutes this week. No signs of deficiency nor nute burns, I guess a little more wont do damages. So far so good, they are in perfect heath. See ya, Ferid

3rd week, I hope the stretch comes to an end soon, normally it wont grow bigger than 90cm, but you never know. I bought cannazym nutrient, stinks like rotten herb so I guess it's good. I now also have a good feeding schedule that I'll refer to. Last week I said that I had problem with bugs, turned out that they were thrips! I killed a few of them by hand, and the pesticide seems to have done a good job. Maybe the harvest will be a few grams less because of that, but honestly I dont really care at this point. The flower are getting thicker and thicker, what a nice sight to see. It's like visual poetry. See ya, Ferid

I think the stretching has stopped, good news. Based on the other diaries, I think that my plant is maybe a week late when i compare the size of the flowers. The slow one is catching up on the flowering, but is a lot more affected by thrips. I will maybe use pesticide one last time this week, but dont worry, it's bio (i think). The flowers are beggining to get fatter and fatter every day, seems like they handled really well more nutrients. I dont really think that I will get more than 20-30g tho, we'll see how that goes. Judging by the flower size, i'd say that they'll be done in maybe 4 or 5 weeks. RQS says that it needs pm 56 days to flower, but with the sh×t they've been through at the beggining of flowering, I guess a few weeks more wont do harm. So far so good, Ferid

End of week 13, they dont grow seen as fat as i thought, the calixes all stay small. I try to water them more often, maybe i let the soil dry too much between each feeding. The second plant is also making progress, I really dont know how it could be this late compare to the other.. See ya Ferid

Nothing New, time is getting kinda long, there's not much i can do.. I hope they'll be ready to harvest in about 3 weeks, we'll see how it goes. I expect at least 20g dried but idk, im kinda loosing hope, maybe im not a good grower.. See ya, Ferid

Not qui te ready ! I think I'll be startin to flush the big one by the end of the week, seems like it's near the end. You can see that the trichomes are not milky like it is advised on the web, but it's really soon! I now give them 11 hours of light, and next week it'll be 10h. I'm finally seeing the end of it ! All right !! The final week is here, i'll be harvesting her the 27th. Trichomes are looking good, I want her to hit really hard and more psychedelic-ish, that's why i dont want to see no amber trichomes. Looking really good, see ya Ferid

Wow ! Dried for 4 days, then in cure. 33g dry weight. I tried it in the first week of cure, and I really wasnt expecting it to be strong like that ! The kush smell is yet to come, the smell of hay is slowly leaving. What a nice journey ! I'm definitely growing that again. See ya ! Ferid
