Germination

14.08 - Put the seed on the surface of water with a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in it. 17.08 - The seed germinated, the root was much longer than last time. I planted it in a peat pellet.

19.08 - The sprout appeared. The shell of the seed was stuck to one of the leaves, and under it some kind of fungus started to grow. I tried to remove it, but the fungus was already growing through the leaf, so I carefully cut off the half of the leaf.

27.08 - Planted the sprout with the peat pellet in a grow bag. Watered it with Bio-Grow 1 ml/L (0.5 L of water). The light is working at 65%. 28.08 - Everything seems fine. She's growing fast.

01.09 - Increased the power of the light to 70% of total (i.e. 70W now). 04.09 - Humidity dropped to 35%, sprayed the leaves and the tent with water to increase it. Didn't help much though. 05.09 - Watered with Bio-Grow, in accordance with the schedule for All-Mix soil. Used a 0.9L bottle so the concentration is a bit higher. FastBuds mentions that Tangie is a heavy eater. Everything seems great.

07.09 - The light is at 75%. 10.09 - Soil almost completely dried out, as per BioBizz recommendations. Humidity dropped to 40%. Sprayed with water after the lights went out. 11.09 - Watered with Bio-Grow (3.6 liters), concentration is around 1.1 ml/l, as before. The light is at 80%. The height of the plant was 33 cm. 13.09 - In just 2 days, she grew by 10 cm. I still can't decide if I want to do LST. I want bigger yields, but I also want to see her natural beauty so to speak, since this is my first successful grow. Also I don't want to spend too much time maintaining it 😄

14.09 - Light 90%. 15.09 - Light 100%, distance 60 cm. Spotted what looked like slight CalMag deficiency. 16.09 - Foliar spray with Alg-A-Mic. 17.09 - Watered with BioBizz (1.8 l), added flowering nutes, CalMag and Alg-A-Mic. 18.09 - Light distance 45 cm, plant height 68 cm. Decided to do some minor LST of lower branches. She has stretched a lot, full LST would be really beneficial, just like FastBuds warned. But I like her as she is now 😁 Plus I think I have enough vertical space. 20.09 - Light distance 42 cm, plant height 77 cm. Installed additional lights (2 x LED 14W, 25 umol/s purple bulbs) for lower branches (distance around 20 cm). Foliar spray with Alg-A-Mic.

Vertical growth seems to have stopped. She's blooming and looking very happy.

I've been giving her BioBizz in accordance with the schedule, including CalMag. Using tap water (250-300 ppm). So my only guess is calcium excess, which led to potassium deficiency. However, only the main cola is affected now. So I also suspect light burn. What's your opinion?

not much clawing, so not 'incredibly overfed' ... happened slowly, which is good too. Any change will likely need to be subtle and small. I'm not familiar with biobizz, but if they have guaranteed analysis labels you can calculate ppm of each nutrient. good can help find a calculator for you. since it is liquid, you my need to account for specific gravity.. depends on unit they used. Assuming it is coco/soilless substrate? First, ensure pH is somewhere near 6. runoff is not highly accurate, but can inform if it is drifting one way or another relative to what you put in. That is usually enough to eliminate it as a possibility. A slurry with some substrte mixed in with a known pH water can work too... if you do that, use same volume of water and substrte in future for the slurry, so you can build some familiarity. Again, not very precise, but will tip off whih way it is drifting and magnitude. i have similar hard water.. here's what i typically use with a 2-part mix *3 with epsom salt i guess. With pH 6ish... just as important as concentrtion of nutes 120ish N 50ish P 200ish K 100ish Ca 80ish Mg 110ish S hydro nutes should have all your trace elements too. most are a fraction of 1 ppm. each week in just about any of my diaries you can find a table with these values. These are all "ballpark" values.. your tap could impact what is right, too. A rare plant is a picky eater, too. ~1.5EC is a good target (or ~750ppm). with my hard water i am around 1.3ec with no problems. i start going higher and get 'the claw'. if not wrong about 'soilless' coco substrate, make sure you get 10-15% runoff religiously each time you irrigate. Always fertilize. in soilless you maintain a fertile substrate at all times with a known concentrtion. the 10-15% runoff maintains those concentrtions and therefore the pH too -- excluding outside factor like microbes.
