The Wedding Cake grow from about 10 months ago (diary on here) was in same tent, it got turned 180 to vacuum the floor. The fan vent got turned to a window, one plant made a lot of seeds. Are hermie seeds any good?
I had problems finding a net that worked for this tent. Local hydro store had some that worked. New 2 gal pots. Happy frog soil with jump start pre mixed. tap water phed to 6.5 light is on 200 watts.
First day this week growth slowed, we had a weird weather pattern with very dry air for 2 days it was 40-45rh and the plants dried out and wilted. I watered first thing when I got home, the right two recovered in an hour the one on the left took a day to recover. 3 days later still slow and leafs yellow slightly, I figure maybe a PH problem and water with 5% flush 6.6ph lime stone aquifer water high in cal 8.0 from tap. The yellowing stops. The next day at lights on I blast it with a full chart mix of Cutting Edge Solutions +ph swing feed and it exploded since, regained much green.
Light was set 2 days of 4hr only on 4-20 (lol I just got this), then 12-12. I have done this in and attempt to kick off flower stage because my experience with this strain is that it likes to hang on to veg stage forever some times 2 weeks of major stretching.
Did a jump start tea, 3 feeds of cutting edge solutions. For past 4 weeks have Found one adult spider mite per week, and destroyed eggs on the leaf's bottom with the white spots. I have no clue where they came from never had them before. I live next to a river and it is spider season so the normal spiders have been hunting the mites just becasue they are attracted to the lights at night. I don't see the mites as a threat and I'm not going to spray for them I might try to make a ladybug farm if I see more.
The nute chart keeps adding numbers to the titles. I type in "4-4-4" and after I hit enter it displays "4-4-42" or i enter "boom 0-10-10" and it puts down "bloom 0-10-102" so im done with fooling around with the nute chart
I can already tell witch clones I want to keep the one in the middle is the keeper I now have two clones for next cake grow. This is the best strain I have found to relive discomfort from my titanium implants in my hand so I grow it nonstop. These seeds are just like the original ones i bought 2 years ago from pheno finders one is long one is short and one is a part hermie dropping pollen on the others so they will also make seeds. Its a never ending cycle with this strain I almost always get seeds and it seems to never effect the potency. Advanced stoners always say same thing about it best tasting they ever had and very strong. I sell it or give it away sometimes in very rural areas that are very dry so they like getting seeds they grow every one they get right in their yards and fields around here. I'm cool with that.
FLUSH 7ppm distilled/RO water. Achieving well timed flush always brings out amazing flavor in this strain. Many many seeds (I was hoping for this I am down to a few dozen) Gender bender status was achieved on 3ed plant to right by fluctuating the feed ph to 4ph then to 8ph it then showed stress and bloomed yellow flowers. (you might see some of the yellow flowers low on the buds on the right plant) the other two made seeds. I will pick the seeds out by hand till I have about 100+ good ones, then some of the dry herb gets directly vaporized in a pax. Much of it will be extracted, bubble bag and hot press.
More thoughts. I cleaned the tent and noted much pollen on lower leaves and tent floor.
The buds in direct downstream air flow pollinated first you can literally see where the fan blows just by seeing/following the most pollinated bud areas.
one seed can form for every pistil, directly under/attached to it.
The pollinated parts of the buds gets very fat and the first pollinated seeds actually look as if they will fall out at any time exposed to light and ambient atmosphere.
