Well Aug 21 is my birthday. So what better day to start a seed? Exactly, right!? Started it in a paper towel and just stuck it in a dark place for 48 hours. Monday Aug 23 -Planted in a little coco pot with a little sprinkle of Dynomyco in my peat/coco/perlite mix. -Starting water at 6.5 PH Wednesday Aug 25 - Day 1 -Seedling has popped out of medium (I consider this to be day 1) ⬅️ Please leave a comment if I’m wrong 🤙 -Small enough to keep in a Ziplock sandwich bag -First set of true leaves are showing signs -Roots already showing out of the bottom Thursday Aug 26 - Day 2 -Just a stretch -Let it grow Friday Aug 27 - Day 3 -Dropping into a bigger pot -A little more Dynomyco in the new pot -Big stretch again today -Watered with aerated tap water 6.5 PH @ 60.8 PPM (500 scale) Saturday Aug 28 - Day 4 -Looking Happy -Nice set of first true leaves Sunday Aug 29 - Day 5 -Just grow little lady Monday Aug 30 - Day 6 -Second set of leaves showing development -Still happy Tuesday Aug 31 - Day 7 -No Water -Growing well Wednesday Sep 1 - Day 8 W/k 2 -Second set of leaves are getting bigger -Doing well -Watering day today -Aerated Tap water 1 Litre 6.5 PH @ 63.6 PPM Runoff was 400ml @ 5.62 PH / 2500 PPM -Let it be. Thursday Sep 2 - Day 9 W/k 2 -First set of true leaves have developed a bit of a twist -No water -Just grow little lady Friday Sep 3 - Day 10 W/k 2 -First set of leaves showing rusty spots -Possibly my grow medium is too hot for a seedling? ⬅️ Let me know in the comments -Let her keep doing her thing Saturday Sep 4 - Day 11 W/k 2 -Not looking so hot -possibly just suffering from a little overwatering as I water to get runoff -She should calm down as medium dries out Sunday Sep 5 - Day 12 W/k 2 -First set of true leaves getting gnarly -Second set showing some twists -No Water -Third set of leaves coming in Monday Sep 6 - Day 13 W/k 2 -Definitely looks on the weathered side -Started hardening off early in her life -Great size for her age -3” tall -No water Tuesday Sep 7 - Day 14 W/k 2 -No water -Removed the first set of true leaves as they were done -She’s looking like she’s about to get ready and take off veg stage Wednesday Sep 8 - Day 15 W/k 3 -No water -I should transplant soon to her new home -She’s looking pretty hearty still Thursday Sep 9 - Day 16 W/k 3 -Transplanted into final home 5 gallon fabric pot -Filled pot with medium added 4 tsp of Dynomyco mixed and wet medium -6.48 PH aerated tap water 63.9 PPM Friday Sep 10 - Day 17 W/k 3 -No water -Doesn’t seem to have shown any transplant stress -5th set of leaves developing -Soon gonna get a topping Saturday Sep 11 - Day 18 W/k 3 -No water -She’s definitely looking like she’s about to take off -Couple more days and we’ll be full on veg mode Sunday Sep 12 - Day 19 W/k 3 -0100 did an epsom salt foliar spray after lights out 6.43 PH 188 PPM -No water -One leaf showing rust spots -Just grow little lady Monday Sep 13 - Day 20 W/k 3 -No water -Oldest set of leaves rusting up and curling -Suspect overwatering again during transplant I had to we the medium -New growth looks fine -Let medium dry out -She’ll bounce back Tuesday Sep 14 - Day 21 W/k 3 -No water -Bottom set of leaves got gnarly -the new branch above that leaf is looking good though so no problem -She’s made it to 3 weeks old today -Looking pretty hearty for 21 days old -Got a few weathering marks but big picture all is good -Week 1 vegetation starts tomorrow I post exactly as this is happening so if you have suggestions on how I can improve or maybe point out things I’m doing wrong I’d greatly appreciate the knowledge.
